We encourage use of the foam corners for maximum protection. You can telescope 2 mirror boxes to create 1 measuring: 58-1/2" x 37-1/2" x 4". That is what you will need to do for any picture that is taller than 27".

-Nan 16/9/2020 1h00m23 pm

Hello, Nan! Yes, this box would be perfect for an item of those dimensions. Thank you!

-Savannah 29/9/2020 11h52m17 am

How is it designed for two to fit together so it can hold a larger item? If they are the same width how do you slide 1 into the other? Do you have to cut off the narrow side of one of the boxes so the long item fits through both?

-Elizabeth 13/7/2020 6h12m00 am

Hi, Elizabeth! The boxes are not designed to telescope together, but you can use the flaps to interlock the boxes and tape them together, thus creating a longer box to accommodate larger frames/mirrors. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 13/7/2020 9h30m30 am

Does it come with the 4 foam corners?

-Elizabeth 13/7/2020 6h09m55 am

Hello, Elizabeth! Our mirror box does not include any foam corners, just the box itself. You can purchase our Picture Packer Kit separately to use with the box. Thank you!

-Savannah 13/7/2020 9h27m05 am

Can this box be used for shipping something that weights about 40lbs? The store says this box is just for moving but the Q&A says it can be used for shipping

-Elizabeth 13/7/2020 6h09m28 am

Hello, Elizabeth! This box is suitable for shipping and can hold up to 65 pounds. We always recommend making sure you properly protect and isolate whatever you are shipping with packing materials like Enviro-Bubble. Thank you!

-Savannah 13/7/2020 10h02m27 am

Can you cut the box down to a smaller size

-Jeff 6/7/2020 2h50m01 pm

Hello, Jeff! Although it's certainly possible to cut down the box to a smaller size, we don't recommend doing so since it would impact the integrity of the box. If you want to use the box with a smaller item, the best option is to fill the spare space in the box with some kind of void fill like crumpled up Packing Paper. This would keep the smaller item from shifting in the box while in transit. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 13/7/2020 10h08m52 am

what is the weight of this box?

-gloria peterson 13/6/2020 8h03m13 pm

Hello, Gloria! Our mirror & picture box weighs 2 pounds. Thanks for asking!

-Savannah 6/16/2020 2h42:45 PM

How many items fit in one box?

-Stacey 18/4/2020 11h10m38 am

Hi, Stacey! The answer to your question depends on the size of each item you would like to place in the box! If you would like to use one mirror & picture box for multiple pictures, we recommend wrapping each in a protective material such as Enviro-Bubble so they do not damage one another in the box. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 20/4/2020 10h01m19 am

are these acid-free for transporting/storing artwork?

-karen 20/2/2020 11h46m39 am

-Savannah 21/2/2020 7h28m35 am

-Ruben Collado 5/1/2020 6h50m02 pm

-Savannah 15/10/2019 7h11m34 am

I have a mirror that is 48" X 36", what size boxes should I use

-James Geeze 21/6/2019 9h07m21 am

Hi, James! For a mirror that size, we recommend our Four Piece Mirror & Picture Box. We also recommend wrapping the mirror in some kind of protective material before placing it in the box such as Furniture Pads. Thank you!

-Savannah 24/6/2019 9h45m16 am

How many pictures can you put in picture box

-Kellie 10/5/2019 12h23m41 pm

Hello, Kellie! This highly depends on the size of each picture. The box is 37" x 4" x 27". We also recommend that if you place more than one photo in the box that you properly wrap each photo in packing paper to ensure they do not damage one another in the box. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 5/13/2019 3h34:24 PM

Would this box fit a 43 inch tv

-Kathy 20/3/2019 12h31m08 pm

Hello, Kathy! We do not recommend this box for use with TVs. Please see our Flat Panel TV Kit, which is designed to be used with 43" TVs. Thank you!

-Savannah 3/20/2019 3h27:39 PM

I need have a picture measuring 28x25 and I have another picture that is 21X23. Would thes boxes work for them? With the corner protectors will that keep them safe?

-Cathy Robertson 23/1/2019 9h32m04 pm

Hi, Cathy! Yes, our mirror & picture box is suitable for both of the pictures you mentioned. We recommend placing each in its own picture box. Your pictures will certainly be their safest if you use protective products such as our Picture Packer Kits or if you wrap them in something like Enviro-Bubble. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 24/1/2019 7h19m41 am

You talk about putting two boxes together, but what I need to know can both the width and height be changed by buying 2 boxes. in other words, can the 37" be up to 74" minus the overlap AND can the 27" be up to 54" minus the overlap?

-Kim 20/1/2019 8h28m35 am

Hi, Kim! When two mirror boxes are put together, only one of the measurements is going to increase. Since the opening of our mirror box is on the length side, only the height is going to increase (27" to 54"). I hope that makes sense!

-Savannah 23/1/2019 7h49m42 am

If my picture is 37X27, will 4 bubble corners fit?

-Chris Cook 17/1/2019 11h23m29 am

Hi, Chris! Whether or not the bubble corners will fit will depend on the thickness of your picture, but regardless it might be a tight squeeze. If you want to make sure your picture is properly wrapped and padded in the box, you might be better off going with our Large Mirror Box so there is room to pad the picture. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 24/1/2019 7h35m00 am

I would need a box to fit a 24 inch flat screen TV. Could you suggest a size?

-Susan Buzzetto 13/1/2019 6h58m41 am

Hi, Susan! Our Medium TV Kit would be the perfect option for a 24 inch flat screen TV. Thanks for asking!

-Savannah 14/1/2019 8h37m44 am

looking for a box 36x22x4 do u have anything that I could use?

-nadine bradley 5/1/2019 9h07m11 am

Hi, Nadine! Our Mirror & Picture Box is the closest we have to those dimensions at 37" x 4" x 27". If you need to fill in the extra space in the box, please consider using something like Packing Peanuts or Packing Paper. Thank you!

-Savannah 7/1/2019 9h47m59 am

-Savannah 19/11/2018 10h10m25 am

Will this fit an item meansuring 31,5w 15,5h and 4,6d

–Jeanette ceja 9/11/2018 11h12m03 am

Hey, Jeanette! It looks your item is just a bit too thick to fit into our mirror box. It also wouldn't quite fit in our large mirror box either. We do offer a Picture Shipper that would be large enough for your item. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 11/9/2018 1h28:05 PM

Do you have smaller picture boxes like 20/20

-Yvonne fazio 30/10/2018 12h38m47 pm

Hey, Yvonne! If you use 2 pieces of the 4 Piece Picture/Mirror Box, you can accommodate a smaller picture frame. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 10/30/2018 1h03:21 PM

Do you have a box for a package 39x46x4"

-Savannah 22/5/2018 8h51m51 am

Can this box be used for shipping as well?

-Dyan Thornton 7/4/2018 10h43m41 am

Hi, Dyan! Yes, the Mirror / Picture Box can be used for shipping. Please ensure that the contents, if fragile, are properly wrapped and protected. We recommend using Furniture Pads or Enviro-Bubble. Thank you!

-Savannah 4/10/2018 1h06:00 PM

Will this work for a round mirror?

-Anita 5/3/2018 11h40m03 am

Hi, Anita! This depends on the dimensions of the round mirror. If the measured dimensions of the mirror fit within the dimensions of the box (37" x 4" x 27" or up to 54" wide when two boxes are used) then this box will work. Thank you!

-Savannah 13/3/2018 10h04m05 am

How much are these boxes

-Ashton Dalton 3/2/2018 1h16m03 pm

Hello, Ashton! A Mirror / Picture Box is currently $4,95 USD (6,6 CAD). This pricing applies if you purchase the item online to be shipped to your home or if you choose to purchase/pick up the item from a U-Haul Center. Thank you for asking!

-Savannah 6/2/2018 8h53m07 am

What do you do with the extra space in the box once the picture is in (i.e. a 20 x 28 picture in a 27 x 37 box)

-Scott 26/11/2017 4h49m48 pm

Hello, Scott! If there is extra space in your mirror box, you can fill the empty space with a protective material such as Biodegradable Packing Peanuts, Enviro-Bubble, or Cushion Foam. Filling extra space is important to ensure the artwork, mirror or picture doesn't shift. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 27/11/2017 11h51m40 am

I have 3 oil painting. They are 44x45x1,5 and 42x48x1,5 (2 this size). Do I need to buy 4 small picture boxes for each and join them together? Can I put 2 of the same size in one? I would probably need to use bubble wrap?

-Camila Velez 16/9/2017 6h43m13 am

Hi, Camila! We recommend purchasing 2 large mirror boxes for each of your paintings (6 total boxes) and telescoping them together to ensure your paintings are properly boxed. You could also put two paintings in one box together, meaning you only purchase 4 total boxes. You should also wrap each of the paintings in Enviro-bubble to make sure they are well-protected.

Any boxes you do not use can be returned to a U-Haul Center near you for a refund. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 18/9/2017 11h39m20 am

What pounds per inch are the rated at?

-Dan 24/7/2017 10h37m05 am

Hi, Dan! The Mirror / Picture Box has a rating of 32 ECT (edge crush test). This is the standard strength measurement for corrugated boxes. I hope that is helpful!

-Savannah 25/7/2017 8h43m39 am

What do you have for a curved screen television?

-Cheryl 30/6/2017 11h51m51 am

Hi, Cheryl! As long at your TV fits within the dimensions, the Flat Panel TV Kit should work for your TV.

I hope that is helpful and thank you for your question!

-Savannah 6/30/2017 3h16:10 PM

What box do you recommend for a framed mirror measuring 29" W x 65" H x 2" D?

-Joanne 7/8/2016 7h58m44 pm

We recommend buying two of the Larger Mirror Box to better fit the height dimensions of your mirror. We also recommend getting a Picture Packer Kit to keep your box safe while being transported one place to another.

-SAVANNAH 8/11/2016 3h10:40 PM

Can you recommend a good option for moving framed photos which are substantially smaller than this box is designed for? (16"x18" frame, for example.) I've got a LOT of them.

-Sarah K. 13/6/2016 2h25m24 pm

Hey Sarah! I would recommend wrapping your small framed photos inside of cushion foam pouches. For extra protection, you could also wrap them in Enviro-Bubble®. Thanks for your question!

-SAVANNAH 7/26/2016 1h54:02 PM

Can these be shipped via USPS (regular mail)? I need to send a tin sign to a relative and was wondering if I could buy this box and wrap it in shipping paper in order to send?

-Michael 4/1/2016 1h13m08 pm

Yes, it can be shipped via USPS.

–Joseph 1/4/2016 2:17:58 PM

How many framed photos will one box hold?

-Lita 12/9/2015 9h24m17 am

Lita, it is tough for us to tell without knowing the dimensions of your frames/photos.

If you are trying to fit multiple photos into a single box, you would just want to make sure they fit within a 37" x 4" x 27" space, including an protective material you will be placing between photos.

–Joseph 9/14/2015 12:09:31 PM

I don't see a volume discount on mirror boxes online. Is there one?

No, we do not offer bundle pricing on Mirror Boxes.

–Joseph 6/25/2015 4:40:49 PM

I've read the instructions for using 2 mirror boxes. A video would make the process a lot clearer. Do you have one? Know of one on youtube?

-Hayden Jones 22/6/2015 2h00m12 pm

Hey Hayden, I'm sorry but all we have at this time is the photos on the product page showing two boxes being put together.

If you had any detailed questions, you can send them to store@uhaul.com and we will do our best to help you out!

–Joseph 6/25/2015 4:40:13 PM

how to telescope the mirror boxes together?

-jiji 6/6/2015 12h33m42 pm

Begin at the top end of the first box by folding the small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape.

Move on to the second box and press along the dotted lines on the left and right sides until there is an indent or break in the cardboard. Without cutting the flap lock tabs on the bottom end of the first box, and by squeezing the second box sides so they intent, slide the second box into the open (bottom) end of the first box.

Slide your item(s) into the box, then on the open end of the second box, fold the small flaps in, fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Secure the middle portion where the second box telescopes into the first box with tape.

–Joseph 6/8/2015 4:49:59 PM

Our program manager for boxes and moving supplies writes: "Begin at the top end of the first box by folding the small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Move on to the 2nd box and press along the dotted lines on the left and right sides until there is an indent or break in the cardboard. Without cutting the flap lock tabs on the bottom end of the first box, and by squeezing the second box sides so they intent, slide the second box into the open (bottom) end of the 1st box. Slide your item(s) in the box, then on the open end of the 2nd box, fold the small flaps in, fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Secure the middle portion where the 2nd box telescopes into the 1st box with tape."

DO YOU HAVE A PRE-FOLDED BOX FOR VIEWING ON LINE ?

-BATTLE 4/12/2014 2h08m13 pm

No. Sorry. We operate the Q&A from a different city than our warehouse. However, if you are close to a UHaul center, they would have the un-folded box available.

–Ronald 12/4/2014 2:14:08 PM

how do you fold the mirror box?

-joe 21/11/2014 8h31m19 am

"If you are using 1 mirror box: Begin at the bottom of the box by folding the small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Flip the box over, place your item in the box and fold the top small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. When using 2 mirror boxes together: Secure the bottoms of 2 mirror boxes as stated in the single box instructions. Leave the flap tabs on the top of the boxes in tact and none of the flaps folded in. Press along the dotted lines on both sides of one of the boxes (the one that will be sliding inside the outer box) which will allow it to slide more easily into the other box. Once you have them telescoped, tape securely."

How should one fold Mirror Box to hold 2 paintings?

-Tom Jones 18/9/2014 5h30m38 pm

"It depends on the size of each painting. If together they are larger than what one Mirror Box can accommodate, take a look at our Large Mirror Box (part number LMB). If both paintings are larger than what the MB and LMB can accommodate, please read the answer to the above question, "How do I assemble it with two boxes??"" It will help you understand how to use 2 Mirror Boxes for very large items."

Hello, Karen! Our mirror & picture boxes are acid-neutral, but they are not acid-free. Thank you for asking!

-Savannah 21/2/2020 7h28m35 am

-Ruben Collado 5/1/2020 6h50m02 pm

-Dyan Thornton 7/4/2018 10h43m41 am

-Dan 24/7/2017 10h37m05 am

How many framed photos will one box hold?

-Lita 12/9/2015 9h24m17 am

Lita, it is tough for us to tell without knowing the dimensions of your frames/photos.

If you are trying to fit multiple photos into a single box, you would just want to make sure they fit within a 37" x 4" x 27" space, including an protective material you will be placing between photos.

how to telescope the mirror boxes together?

How should one fold Mirror Box to hold 2 paintings?

If both paintings are larger than what the MB and LMB can accommodate, please read the answer to the above question, "How do I assemble it with two boxes??"" It will help you understand how to use 2 Mirror Boxes for very large items."
