let's start from the beginning, i drive up and i get no kind of â€œwelcome to u-haulâ€, or any sort of presentation. so whatever it's 3rd party so i kinda understood that. after i'm waiting for around 10 minutes for someone i finally walk up to someone saying â€œdo you work here?â€ he had no representation of how he worked there, no name badge no shirt depicting that he worked there. he says â€œyupâ€ so i tell him i'm here for my reservation and he decides to start on his phone just not saying anything for about 10-15 minutes then he asks me for contact information and everything. he never asked me, â€œis this your order numberâ€ or nothing, just immediately checked me in and i gave him people to contact in case of emergency. he then gets kicked out of the system then looks at me and says â€œdid you mess with the reservationâ€ i say â€œno why?â€ he stated â€œcause it kicked me out cause you did somethingâ€ okay just blame the customer that's cool i guess. Then he said â€œit's a 100$ depositâ€ i asked him, â€œwhy 100$? he said â€œthat's what the system tells meâ€ that doesn't really sound professional but whatever i give him 100$ cash and get no receipt at all, he then gives me his phone to sign which is completely shattered and i literally had to be cautious when signing so i wasn't going to cut myself (i work in phone sales and know it's very easy to cut yourself on damaged screens) he then hands me the keys and says â€œyou'll get a link sent to your phone to verify everythingâ€ sir, verify what? this is literally my first time EVER renting a u-haul truck. i was left to figure it all out on my own. the app was somewhat helpful but i feel as i should've gotten more instructions on towing and everything when it's full, how to unload the ramp, etc. NOTHING AT ALL. so i get in the truck. and i see the no smoking sign and thought â€œoh that's cool the truck is non smokingâ€ or so i thought. as i went in i was hit with the smell of cigarettes and cigarette ashes all over the steering column and steering wheel. whatever i needed to just hurry up and get my stuff moved so i sucked it up because i already had to put so much money down and my ride was gone because i was not able to leave my vehicle there because â€œthere's nowhere to put it atâ€ well that sounds like a you problem not me. so i had to drop my car off at the walmart 5 miles away have my boyfriend come with me to get my car to drive 5 miles BACK to go drop the truck off. horrible experience and as it being my first ever experience i will not be returning. please reach out to me in email as i would like to be followed up on this because this was such a extremely unsatisfactory experience.Dustin A.

We were charged milage overage since the GPS took us to the wrong location in the wrong town. We then had to turn around and go back to the correct location. The associate at the correct location said this is a problem he has requested to be fixed but still keeps happening. So we pay the price for someone else's mistake. I would like my $20,12 credited back to my account. Since we drove around in circles looking for the proper location. Very unhappy.Sterling H.

Nothing,,, The guy was GREAT!!!! I never towed a car before and he hooked up my trailer for me and explained everything.... I felt very comfortable.... When I got to my car,,,, everything that he told me came together and it was an easy process loading the car and driving off.... I pulled over one hour down the road and everything was still secure..... Highly recommend ........THOMAS M.
Fix your link for mapping the pick up point. I clicked on the address but was sent 10 miles out of the way to the wrong place. And your online pickup needs to be more clear cause I expected to get the uhaul through online pickup and got all the way there to check in and then received a message that I had to come back once they opened. That set us back a whole day. Moving is stressful enough.LATISHIA W.

I rented my truck on Memorial Day, so the rental place was closed maybe that had something to do with it I'm not sure, I was supposed to pick up the truck at 9am but wasn't able to until after 11am it seemed that everything that could go wrong went wrong and not being able to talk to a live person didn't help I was told the wait time would be 20-30 minutes when I was at the end of my rope I called again and a young lady named Kenyada answered the phone she was an angel she took care of everything called me back three times if it wasn't for her I would probably never rent from U-Haul again it's people like her that make good companies greatMamie T.

I asked for drop off in Ponte Vedra Beach Fl for a return today.... a rep from U Haul called and informed me that no location in PVB was available for my contract... they offered St Augustine...20 Miles South.... I told them I would rather a location in JAX that I knew was open......the contract was never sent to that location and I had to wait for the representatives to get it corrected..... also I was charged extra mileage for something that was not my fault or under my control... I would like a refund for the excess mileage I was charged for!Jeffrey H.

The owner was great! Truck was great! And customer service was great. The only challenge was website. It was terrible and difficult to follow. Said my express reservation was complete but no where to input payment and almost impossible to locate lockbox info without calling Customer service 3 times, which each time I waited for 10-15 minutes. I wonder if call volume dealt with same issues.KIMBERLY D.

There was a brand new truck sitting there, not used. It had a fuel efficient sticker, and had a nice inside. Instead we were given the old truck that was bare bone, had ash in the door compartments, and that was awful on gas. No one else rented the other truck that day, and we got stuck with the crappy one for no reason other than the guy did not want us driving it.Zachary L.

Guy was rude and abrupt. The first words out him was "Wow, didn't clean it out did ya?" I most definitely swept it out. Unfortunately, I had left the gathered dust at the end of the truck when I obviously met to sweep off on to the ground. It's not like there was piles of dirt. I had a scheduled appointment for 8am, the store did not open til 8:30am but no one arrived until 8:42am. When I picked up my trailer it was dented everywhere and the store did not check if I had functional brake lights or turning signals. I have rented numerous trailer from other U-Haul but have never experienced something like this.Carlos P.

The owner here has an issue with a brain tumor i was Told and she was instructed to call in instead of use the computer bc of this. The lady she called in to for me to give info to at U-Haul was rude and acted like she didn't want to help. Work on your customer service and stop treating people like your annoyed they need help. I will Use able rents again bc of the sweet lady that works there. U-Haul should be ashamed. I wish I could Have went through that phone and slapped whoever was on it. They need to find a new job if they're so unhappy helping people. Look at the records and find out who the female employee of U-Haul was on the phone who helped me.ashley D.

I rented a truck from this location and returned the truck two hours early and I tried to turn the truck around on the property in the back of the building and it got stuck in the mud which has no signs stating and caution. So next day I had to pay tow truck to pull it out of the mud after the owner of the property pushed it further in the mud so it ended up costing me $250.00. But I must say that t&m towing and spartlin towing are very professional and felt it was unfair that the customer meaning me had to pay for able rentals sloppy condition on their property.christina B.
