Agent did nothing more than hand me keys. The Uhaul truck had a half tank of gas, and he refused to fill it, saying the last person didn't do what they were supposed to. The truck also had low tire pressure, and the guy said I would have to call Uhaul for road assistance even though the location was a service station. He was rude and unprofessional.Deanna M.

This place did not have my rental guarantee on time I had the reservation for 10:30pm pick up and I didn't get it until almost 11:00pm on top of that the attitude from the person that was supposed to help me was disgusting I kept on doing the check in and completing it in my phone like I'm supposed to but it wouldn't give me a truck number so he got upset gave me an attitude and kept ringing people up at the register after about 15 mins he decided to do what he was supposed to do and helped me but I wasn't the only person he was rude to he even got into an altercation with someone for the same reason he was very rude and not trying to help us at ALL and I have a screen shot on my end that if my reservation wasn't guaranteed ready in time I would get $50 from I haul towards my rental so how do I go about that? The personnel was not informed on anything Uhaul and while the website was having issues, the person who was supposed to provide guidance was rude and unhelpful. It took me about twenty minutes to simply get the keys and he refused to adjust the reservation time on his end to accommodate for that. While I was there working on my pick up process, there must've been about four other couples at the location experiencing the same issues and inconveniences. I use this location regularly because it's closest to my house however if there was an alternative I would absolutely take it. Every time I go into this gas station, one of the employees has a very nasty attitude with me. I do my best to make the interaction quick so as not to have to engage this energy but that often proves challenging because there's a discrepancy between my booking at UHAUL and then the gas station. This past time I was there they said everything was switched over to UHAUL and told me to use the QR code. This process was not intuitive and when I asked them for help, they didn't know how to help me and instead asked me to move aside so they could tend to the next customer. This was extremely rude and unnecessary. Your website needs streamlining. I didn't have my login so I looked up my contract thinking it would take me to where I needed to pick-up/return. I didn't know what to do from there as it only showed my booking details. I finally decided to look up my login. This was confusing and not a smooth process. Plus the employees had no insight into this and just kept saying the same thing over and over to me. This leaves a really bad taste in my mouth every time. I have patroned UHAUL way too much to be treated like this and it's not right that I have to endure this level of treatment every time I go there. The gentleman behind the counter renting the u-hauls wasn't just unhelpful, he didn't want to help. When I went in and told him I had a reservation, he didn't say a word and just pointed to a printed out QR code. So I went through the steps and thought I was good but apparently I wasn't. When I showed him where I was at he just told me that's not it. I didn't know what I was looking forâ€¦. So after playing this game of trying to find out how to rent it from this QR code he finally took down my number and completed my reservation for me within 1 minute. I could've easily saved 15 minutes. And the worst part was he seemed mad at me that I didn't know what to do. When returning the vehicle, the guy attending was a lot more helpful. However, after showing me he tried to have me show another customer. I don't mind helping but I do think that is his job to help out other customers and not mine.Devin N.

The advertised price was $19,95 for a 10' truck and $1,99 per mile. I drove less than 10 miles and they charged me $122 . I had rented the same size truck previously and drove an estimated same distance and paid $44. How is this 3x more! Dishonest people!JOANN A.
Location did not provide any of the add-ons I reserved, which I then had to get elsewhere at the last minute. This should never happen. It cost me time and extra money and delayed me for my move out window - just tell me in advance if you don't have it next time. In addition, self check in did not work, and I had to plead with the clerk for 30 minutes to get the van I had reserved. You added a ton of stress to an already stressful day.Philip G.
I signed up for 24/7. When I arrived the uhaul app said it could not read my location in Jersey City so I had to wait for the gas station owner to arrive. He said he needed my credit card, which I had entered and my license which I had entered. He ran the card then kept it at the register, while he walked away. When I arrived I was told the van I reserved was broken and waved off. The associate told me to call Uhaul and deal with them. After a few minutes on the phone he told me that now one was available (no new vans had arrived). Horrible experience, if I was not in a time crunch I would have gone elsewhere. Will never use that location again, and will try to avoid using Uhaul all together.max J.

I was double charged for a 19,95 truck and also for the move safe. Charged 30 dollars gas fee and also 12,59 for 2 GL ( yet I replenished the gas to what it was when I picked up the truck. A one day truck with only 22 miles driven ended up costing me 176 and change. I will be checking my other receipts since I rented a truck 3 times in a span of a week and half.Tina F.

The location overbooked the rentals significantly. I had a 5:30 PM appointment for a van the day prior, was told from the website that it was available and that I had reserved and if I didn't get the vehicle then I would receive compensation. I go to the location at 5:25 PM and there was someone in front of me fighting already with the desk attendant about the U-Haul and 2 others waiting for vehicles to come back because they were in a similar situation. When I got to the front and requested the vehicle I reserved I was just told that there wasn't any even though there were 4-5 vehicles visible on the lot 2 of which were vans. Understood that just because they were there didn't mean they were usable but it didn't help to have to see the vehicles while being told there was nothing even with my reservation. I waited around until 6 and luckily someone came and dropped off a tuck which I immediately insisted that I take. The attendant didn't offer it even to anyone that was waiting or seem to care, I had to explicitly bother him about it. I needed the vehicle to get items somewhere by 7 and this half hour delay messed everything up. I would understand had I just walked in but don't understand the point of the reservation process if there isn't going to be a stop on taking reservations. Even if I was the only person waiting I could understand that someone didn't bring 1 vehicle back on time and that is out of their control but from 5:25 - 6 PM while I was waiting I watched 4 other parties come to get vehicles that they reserved and be turned down or forced to wait.William K.

This place needs to be closed down! It's by far the worst Uhaul in the world. Truck was dirty and came with less than a quarter of a tank of gas. It was almost on Empty. The attendant didn't want to put some gas in it but wanted me to buy gas from them just to get it off the lot. I drove it down the street and put some gas in it just to make it to my move destination. When returning the truck I filled the truck to the same level it came to me with and the guy still charged me $6,5 for gas! I literally returned the car almost all of the way full of gas on Sunday 06/19, and I got charged for returning the Uhaul late in 06/21 and then also got charged for not having the tank full even though I filled it. Our truck had what looked to be a person living out of the truck. There was a backpack with face masks and sleep eye masks. There were also clothes inside the backpack with multiple other personal items. There were multiple blankets inside some of which were soaked in liquid which I can only hope was water. There were 3-4 cushions that was assembled in a bed like formation. Again these cushions were soaked in what I could only wish was water. There were beetles everywhere hidden inside these items. The smell was absolutely dreadful to the point where we were gagging from having to personally throw out these items.Riddhi P.

I was not able to rent the cargo van I had reserved. The truck that I was given, the gas tank was almost empty. The truck itself was in terrible condition. We pointed out that one of the tires looked bald. They insisted it was fine and that was their only trailer so take it or leave it. Sure enough, a few days into our trip, on a highway in the dark, the tire blew and we had to wait 90+ minutes for roadside assistance. When we returned our trailer today, they suggested we report our experience and uhaul could do something to make it right for renting us equipment that would not have passed a road inspection. (We have pictures and video documenting the shape of the tire when we rented the trailer because we knew it was unsafe.)Lindsay G.
