I had very little information about this location. I dropped off trailer on a Sunday. Nobody answered the phone number I had. The next day they checked in the trailer and sent me a receipt. They seem to be very efficientDee B.

As bad as the first location was this one was somehow worse. I was told by the Leeds store that I was to drop the UHaul off at the Destin location at some point on Wednesday 7/13. I get a call at 9:05am where the person very rudely explained that I was in â€œbreach of my contractâ€ due to not having the truck there at 9:00am. They then asked what the earliest I could get the truck to them and told them probably 1:00. They then told me â€œOk but it needs to be no later than 1:00 and we are going to be charging you for an extra dayâ€. (Hah!) So I said â€œsince you're charging me for an extra day, what time TOMORROW should I bring it in?â€ The person then said â€œwhy wouldn't you want to bring it back as soon as possible?â€ A: none of your business now that I'm being charged for an extra day. B: I was buying furniture in town that day and needed the truck (& dolly). So after that, I ended up dropping the truck off that evening on overnight drop off. I figured the rudeness and unprofessional behavior would end there. Wrong. I get a call the next morning from someone else saying â€œwe are calling to inquire about why the dolly you rented isn't with the truck?â€ I explained that I never got the dolly to which the person stated that there was no way for them to prove that I didn't have the dolly since it was showing on the rental agreement and I needed to have the pickup location contact then to verify that I never picked up a dolly - so at this point I'm being accused of theft. It gets worse. Then the person stated there was a significant gash on the side of the vehicle and wanted to know how that happened. â€œWhich gash? There were about 100 on it when I picked it up.â€ The person asked me to provide photos of the truck before I rented it - which I never took because I was never instructed to do so. I'll know time I rent from UHaul (never) to be sure to bring a lawyer and professional photographer with me to cover every angle so the gentlemen at Destin Towing can rest assured I didn't try to bring back a truck I wrecked without informing them. So just to recap: bad & smelly truck, no dolly, accused of theft (TWICE!) and accused of returning a wrecked truck. That's the end.Bradley F.

The employee was rude, charged me for insurance I did not want and declined online but said I had to have it when I got to the location to pick up the trailer. Then the moving blankets that I paid for were not in the trailer when I got home and didn't have time to go all the way back before we had to leave for Kentucky, then upon returning the trailer in Kentucky the location was not open and a charge was made on my card I did not authorize from Dreamcatcher for what I assume is the moving blankets not being there. I have contacted my bank and am disputing the charge. I will not rent again from Uhaul.Chad R.
Out of wiper fluid, dash read â€œtire maintenance neededâ€ , also something moving around scratching on the passenger side, but only vehicle available. Associate at counter didn't care to hear about this stuff. She wanted to just get into my car so she could leave.William O.

The agent was so rude and very unprofessional. She did not check with me the truck or walk through as I received the truck. I asked and she did not. I used the truck for 4 hours and drove it for 31 miles. When I brought it back I asked the same clerk to check me in and she said she will do it alone. I left and later received a bill for additional $77 which $55 says as cleaning fee and also charged 4 gallons of gas for $24. I was also charged $0,89 x 40 miles which is not true. I only drove it for 31 miles and I took pictures of the odometer in and out. The clerk never wanted to walk with me to check both times when I asked. Worst customer service i ever received. I will be reporting this to the BBB. When I called to inquire she said that I was charged $55 because I did not fold the blankets.Alex C.
I was charged a $125 cleaning fee that was never mentioned. And the truck was returned clean. No cleaning needed. The truck had a sticker indicating a $25 cleaning fee if not swept out and we even swept it out. I think the cleaning fee I was charged was an error.wayne H.
You might consider not charging a customer $25 â€œcleaning feeâ€ for having â€œa piece of paper on the dash.â€ Truck cargo area was spotless. Cab had been cleaned out as well. At check in I was told I was good to go. When I got my electronic receipt, I had a cleaning charge added to my credit card.Robert H.

I rented a dozen blankets with this rental. I returned the trailer a day early and left the used blankets (5) inside the trailer. The others were still in the bag. I was charged $42 because I did not fold the used blankets. This is ridiculous and I will have A/X dispute and take back the payment. I was not told at time of rental nor at drop off that this was required and had no idea there could be a fee associated with not folding blankets. I like U-Haul but unless I get this resolved I will not use them going further.Gary R.

Literally everything could be improved. I have rented from this location several times and this will be the last. The service is poor, every person I've interacted with there with the exception of one lady today who seems like she may have been the manager has had a terrible attitude. Returning the truck is a 20 minute ordeal, now you cannot park on the property or anywhere near the property with your own vehicle when you rent from this U-Haul location. Despite checking in online when I arrived at the location it still took 25 minutes to check in. The Uhaul website would not allow the upload of the drivers license and that took us 15 minutes to accomplish. I literally loathe renting from U-Haul. A three hour rental cost me $92 and of course gas as well. That seems absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, while I was there, I asked about renting a Than on June 7 for business needs. They laughed and said no you can't do that because if someone comes in on June 3 and rent it out from under you were going to give it to them. So there's no ability or guarantee that if you rent some thing early that you'll actually get it. The last time I rented something their experience this for myself because they let my vehicle go, even though I showed up before my time to pick it up. This location is managed very poorly it would seem. And you just lost a customer that is a business customer in the area that used to use Uhaul as a go to, but it has become far too difficult to rent from this location any longer.Beth C.

The lady who checked me out on Monday was very nice but the Hispanic female is a very rude and unfriendly piece of crap. I had a Question after leaving and she would not let me speak to the lady who waited on me when I called and ask to. Very hateful and unfriendly personality. This agent was rude and condescending. I asked to keep the truck a bit past my 1:30 drop off time and was told I'd be charged another day to which I agreed. I received a text indicating I had the truck until 3:30 the next day. Next morning I received a call asking where the truck was (again, scolding and condescending) and I agreed to drop it off earlier than 3:30. When I arrived at 11 there was no one in the office. I called from my cell and tracked her down and was told I'd be charged yet another day because I didn't drop it off when I, â€œsaid I would.â€ In my mind, if I'm charged for another day, I have the truck for another day, no? She spoke to me as one would a very young child caught eating paste. I'd had great service from the previous clerk at this location. Now, I have completed my last U-Haul transaction, anywhere, ever.Larry P.

I accidentally clicked that I used moving blankets on the U-Haul app when returning the truck. I told the office clerk that and she said she'd remove the $25 charge (there were only 2 blankets in the truck anyway). She did not follow through with removing the $25 charge. I plan to call there today, and if I don't see a credit, I'm going to dispute the charge with my credit card.Kevin M.

I rented a 26 foot truck/appliance dolly/2 dozen blankets a month in advance and when I called to confirm they said they didn't have a 26 foot truck so I had to get a 20 foot (which made me end up making 2 trips instead of one) they also didn't have an appliance dolly (so I had to go to Home Depot to rent one) also only 10 blankets were provided and some were dirty and damp.Marcia B.

Make sure there is no Marijuana left in the glove box when a customer rents from you, truck floors weren't cleaned when I rented it but I got charged the cleaning fee and when I called to discuss issues the gentleman rambled out a number without even hearing what I had to say and hung up on me.carri G.

The 5x8 trailer was the noisiest tow I've ever pulled. The coupler (although tightened to the absolute maximum capable by hand) was constantly banging against my 2" tow ball. When weight was added to the trailer the sound stopped for the most part.Benjamin R.
