Still waiting on my refund, for now 3 weeks on the equipment I paid for twice. I try to call daily and still can't get anyone on the phone yet again. Turned my rental trailer in early and still waiting on the refund for the extra days that I paid for. I've emailed and still haven't received anything back.Cecilie M.
The location is a bit lackluster, but the employee who helped me was excellent. All I can suggest is maybe have someone present who can at least act as a spotter for people hooking up a box truck to a trailer.Chase D.

Overall piss poor. Was $98 due when I dropped off the truck with it spotless clean and then all the sudden it's $183. Ya you won't get that because nothing was wrong with the equipment and have video proof of it.Russell A.

The U-Haul website experience was terrible. Wouldn't let me pay online, and it took three people online to get the correct drop-off location. It is difficult to imagine such an archaic interface in this day and time.George N.

We returned our truck after hours. It was dark. I would not have been ok to have taken it back alone. Or just me and another female. It seems to be in a bad location. It's far off of the Main Street. It's very dark with only 1 street light barely lighting part of the parking lot. I didn't feel safe at all. I will say this. This might be a great place during the daytime but for a night return I wouldn't do it.Erasmo R.

I checked out the vehicle via mobile app, reserved a 10' truck, utility dolly, appliance dolly & furniture pads (Homeroom Furniture, Anniston, AL); my reservation was for 8a. The app charged me but none of the extras I reserved was in the truck so I had to wait another hr & 30min for them to open just for him to tell me he didn't have those things but he eventually found the appliance dolly. I asked him how do I get a refund & was told to call Uhaul. I called them but was told I needed to speak w/ personnel from the place I rented it. When I called back the lady said she couldn't do it because she wasn't there at the time & don't know what I did or didn't receive. I asked if they have utility dollies because if you don't have them, then you should know I didn't get one. So she said that would have to be done when I return the truck. The truck was returned on a non-business day, there was no way for me to secure the back of it (it wasn't secured when i got it) now she's saying the one dolly I did get wasn't in the truck. The whole ordeal was a huge headache. As I mentioned I check the truck back in on the app, Sunday morning but for some reason it didn't work (it showed where I was done on my side) but Tues I check the app looking for my refund for the dolly & pads only to see the reservation was still showing active. I want my money back but if I don't get it, I see it as a small price to pay to get Uhaul out of my life.Christina C.

Their computers either did not work correctly or they did not know how to work them They were unable to provide me a receipt for picking up the equipment said I could get it off of my email but that email never came. The auto transport trailer was covered in grease and oil extremely poor condition. Was worried that it may not make the trip. Just a very very poor experience with them.John M.

I had to wait for an hour to rent my vehicle because their computer wouldn't connect. The time for pickup was changed from my requested time of 5pm. I had to take off early from work because it was a pickup for 330pm. THis is my second time renting and it was a cluster mess then too.Douglas O.

NOT HOMEROOM's FAULT. UHAUL WEBSITE & TEXTING FAULT. Please read. At 7:57 am, received a confirmation text for the pickup location matching the location on the website from the previous day. When I went to that location, the representative said they had no record of me being able to pick up there. I went on the Uhaul website and found that the pickup location had changed (between 8 am - 10 am). Why was the location changed 2 hours after I received the text message confirming the pickup location. We had to drive 15 miles to the pickup location now on the website. THIS IS A BIG FAILURE! The truck was fine. Didn't pay for the dolly, but there was one inside anyway. After getting the key, there were multiple trucks. Had to try multiple key holes of Uhaul trucks to find the right one. This shouldn't be our responsibility. The location should point us to the specific truck. The label attached to the truck is on the dashboard. Should be on the outside of the truck in a consistent place so we could determine the right one.Austin P.

The order was for 8:00 AM, but the store didn't open until 9:00 AM. The location requested and when confirmed was indicated as the pickup site that opened at 8:00 as ordered and confirmed via phone. When I received an email post call, the location and time was different than the phone confirmation. The delay did put us behind schedule. The person who helped was very friendly and helpful and worked with us as best she could. Additionally, the truck had been used by a smoker immediately before my rental. It reeked of smoke and despite having windows open and air flowing, still smelled through the entire trip.Jeff H.

This was a 2nd location when the first location sent by UHaul did not have the trailer. Better communication from UHaul is needed to confirm the location of a reserved trailer.Don Y.

I reserved and paid for a 5Ã-9 rental trailer online and completed the check in. I thought this would make for a timely departure from the business. I assumed that all I would have to do is sign the contract and wait while the equipment was hooked up. I waited as she went through each page on the computer she made several comments about how I had completed everything, paid for it and uploaded my driver's license front and back. I was then told I had to pay an additional amount; that she was unable to explain what it was for. Finally, after signing the contract and her gathering my copies she asked if I could hook up the trailer myself because her husband was out on a delivery. The weather was mid 40's and raining my biggest concern was backing my truck up to the trailer with no assistance and properly hooking up the trailer to my truck. I agreed to do it myself because I had no other options, if I wanted the trailer. I have rented a variety of moving vehicles and cargo trailers in the past and have NEVER had to hook up or do anything except drive the moving truck or watch as they hook up the cargo trailers. She didn't even accompany me outside to ensure that I had in fact hooked it up properly or that the trailer was in good condition. I am quite thankful that I did properly hook it up and made it to my destination safely. I did realize once I arrived here that I should have crossed the hook up chains in the event that the tongue become detached from the hitch it would have been able to cradle the chains and not hit the road way and potentially flip onto my vehicle. That is a really scary thought. Thankfully that did not happen. My opinion is that for safety reasons no customers should have to hook up their own equipment EVER!Lisa B.

The truck was not at the location I requested, it was about 15 minutes further from my house. Also, they didn't have the appliance dolly I requested. I had to drive the 26 foot truck all throughout town to THREE different locations to get one. The last place that had it was 20 minutes from my house. Total, I drove around for an hour burning gas and using up miles before I got to actually use the truck.Sparks C.

Nice person checking me through at pick up but I was put off from the location I rented from which I was not real happy about. Someone said the order indicated I had been spoken to or left a message but that is inaccurate. Supposedly it was because they did not have the size I reserved, but then when I went to the other location, neither did they. While they did provide me the next larger size at no extra charge, it was way more trailer than I needed and also there was no one there to help me mount it (it was WAY too heavy for me to lift and there was no jack). I had to leave and come back again with help, so 3 stops to get a trailer I reserved the previous week. There was someone there who could help when I returned it but I had already made arrangements for help. Just seemed like a cluster in several ways. The trailer was in good shape and performed well though.James U.
I was surprised to see that this is a very small and poorly stocked drop off location. I did not see any identifying signage. The service person knew what to do to check my return vehicle and I was pleased. I was expecting a full service supply center. She sent me a receipt by email but I was unable to open and view it.
