I originally was renting a truck from Cary Moving on 500 E Chatham Street, Cary, NC but the truck would not start. It was stressful and frustrating. The truck should have definitely checked before we got to it.Sabrina I.

Uhaul employee was very polite. Upon return the Uhaul employee was out to lunch and the clerk that was there was very rude. I was paying for the miles driven and he didn't want to confirm the ending odometer reading and told me to just leave the key and that a receipt would be emailed to me. I'd basically just need to trust that they would charge me for the correct mileage driven. Said the Uhaul employee would be back in 30 min. I ended up doing the online checkout and when I went back to leave the key with the clerk he refused to take it. Told me that there was a box outside. Very rude.Marie K.
The equipment was generally clean and well maintained, but a bit more preventative maintenance would have been appreciated as the truck's battery died on us twice after 2, 20 mile trips (we took 3 trips total for the day). If the battery level and other functions of the truck were checked more regularly, this likely could have been prevented. This created a headache and delayed our schedule several hours, though it thankfully occurred at the end of the day instead of the beginning. The location handled it well, but it could likely have been avoided altogether if preventative maintenance had been done.Kevin Q.

Nothing. I would like to add that my move fell apart. I already had a U-haul, but a family member left with it, and left me on the sidewalk with my furniture on the sidewalk. When I arrrived almost as soon as I made my reservation, I was told I could take the dolly to the van. I said I just had abdominal surgery. A young man said he would take the dolly and put in the van. You could tell that this was a friendly buissness.Darcy C.

do not assume that the pick up site will be open at your reserved pickup time. I assumed that my truck would be ready at my 10:30 a.m. reservation pickup time, however, the location did not open until noon. :(Robert D.
The problem I have is NOT with the location. This isn't a fair survey by any means. What I mean by that is I would rate ZEROS all the way down if it were a Uhaul direct survey, and NOT the location. Uhaul had my reservation, let me check in online. Then 10 minutes later called me to tell me they didn't have a truck at that location for me, that I would have to go 20 minutes out of the way to pick a truck up, and still pay for the mileage. Also, it wasn't for the time I reserved. THEN, I went to the location for the original reservation, and GUESS WHAT?! They had a truck, and it was indeed for the full time of my reservation. So all the pointless stress that Uhaul caused me, having to change the arrival time for the movers TWICE, was ridiculous. In the end, I still was NOT able to get the move done in one trip due to the having to reschedule the time for the movers to come. So all of that and I STILL have more stuff to go back and get myself. What a HUGE inconvenience, headache, and unnecessary panic attack!MICHELLE V.

The associate - I think he is actually the owner is amazing. He is very helpful, professional, cool, calm in collectively. I was highly stressed with the hall uhaul process and renting a truck to move again. Truck was available and well maintained but most importantly the customer service was superior. I rented an enclosed 5x8 trailer, after Uhaul decided to change my original pick-up time (on a 15' truck I had reserved from another location) from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm (I have a copy of the original confirmation) without even contacting me- that's a whole other story. So this was the only place I could get a trailer on short notice. This place was helpful and quick, but none of the 3 trailers had working tail lights. At first we thought it might be my car, but he hooked the trailer up to another Uhaul truck and they still didn't work. But I had no other option, so I took the trailer. It just made for a very tense 3 hour trip from Raleigh. My experience with this particular location was good, but my overall uhaul experience was not good.Jennifer T.

I reserved a truck and appliance dolly online for a large UHaul location near me. When I arrived they said they didn't have the truck or dolly and they had changed my reservation to another location without notifying me. I got to the second location, listed above to find no appliance dolly and a truck so covered with bugs you couldn't see out the windshield. We had to clean the windshield in order to drive it safely. The App wasn't working properly. It wouldn't let me upload pictures that were perfectly clear with the intended visibility (gas and mileage). Luckily, the store was open and the clerks helped me. The UHaul App could use improvement. This location was 5 star service.Julie B.

Not open until noon on sundays....and I did not know that. I would have been rather pissed if I wanted an early morning pick up. Seatbelt was broken and tire were low on air. We were schedule to pick up the car dolly on Sat. afternoon in Jacksonville NC, Friday we were told they did not have on and told we could pick on up 5 minutes away. 15 minute later we were told that one was rented and there were none available within 30 mile. We found one in Raliegh, NC (two hours away) and it had to be pick up Friday morning. We do there and couldn't rent it because it was damaged then after 40 minutes on hold with U-Haul we found a car dolly 15 minutes away. Once we loaded the car on it on Saturday evening we discovered the patched tire on the car dolly had a leak. We spent 100 minutes on hold with U-Haul before we were able to talk to someone about the leaky tire and it was another 2 hours before someone show up to fix it.Troy F.
