Based on my experience I do not plan on using UHaul ever again. I booked my truck, location and time well in advance of my rental. 2 days before my rental they switched my location to farther away from where I was going to pick up my stuff from and from 7 AM to 10 AM. The. I arrived at 10AM and no one was there until 10:25. On top of that the truck barely had enough gas in it that I had to fill up before I even got to my storage unit. Lastly I had ordered furniture pads but was not told that the location didn't have any until I picked up the truck. I was driving from Ct to FL and wanted to be on the road early but lost about a half a day due to the time switches and delayed time. Then not having there furniture pads rustled in some of my belongings getting damaged in the trip. Overall terrible experience and really disappointed with the lack of professionalism.Matthew C.

I booked a 24 hour ride share U-Haul under the assumption that I would be able to pick up the U-Haul by myself through the app. This was not correct. I arrived to the location early to be told by another customer in the same circumstance that the owner had set it up so you must go inside to receive the keys from a person at the desk. This would have been fine, however that that person at the front desk was at a dentists appointment despite the hours online and the front neon sign indicating "open". I had to wait over half an hour after my pick up time and ultimately ruined the entire scheduling of my move-in.Magine S.

The lot had a lot of wood debris & a few screws in front of the garage bays. Parking for return was a little difficult since the lot was quite full and there weren't many options. Your website for self check-in/check-out is atrocious, I got kicked off the site three times trying to upload the photos to complete the process. Your phone service had a 15-20 min hold time. Luckily we were able to complete check-out from another phone before the operator got around to picking up. I would NOT recommend this self service option to ANYONE. It was an absolute nightmare. Took almost an hour to return the truck.Justin U.

I am beyond furious at uhaul corporate!!!!! I booked a car trailer in my hometown of Westfield Massachusetts on line. They website said it would be available, less than 24 hours before my scheduled pick up time corporate called me. This was to supposedly â€œconfirm my reservation â€œ they then informed me that I couldn't pick up the trailer Westfield had. They told me that it was for local use only! They said I had to pick one up in Wolcott Connecticut! I asked if there were any â€œin Massachusetts â€œ they said NO! Not one freaking car trailer available in Massachusetts!!!!??? That's Bullshit!!! Instead I had to pick one up in southern Connecticut!!!!! When I booked my reservation, the website should have informed me that Westfield's car trailer wasn't available for me to take on my trip if it's for local use only! Not freaking wait until the day before my cross country trip to tell me I have to drive an additional 1 1/2+ hours south into Connecticut out of my way!!! Thank you to the man who works at Wolcott uhaul for being apologetic when it wasn't even his fault! As for your scheduling website and your scheduling people who called me to tell me the â€œgreat newsâ€ FUCK YOUPeter D.

Have the gas tank full when the customer picks up the truck. When I got the truck the gas tank was less than half full. I also wouldn't suggest this location if people intend to rent a large truck like the 26' I got because a lot of the roads around there are winding and narrow, which can be stressful for someone without much experience driving large vehicles.Connor M.

The location at Wolcott Rd was fine - although my OVERALL experience with U-Haul was AWFUL and will never go through your services again! I booked my U-Haul 2 months in advance for it to get canceled and not able to be booked at the same location on the same day. With in MINUTES of the cancelation. I was the. Redirected to the Wolcott Rd. Location where the gentleman was very nice. But this location put me out of my time frame by and hour (30 minutes to and from ) Then I had 30 miles free- most of miles out on the U-Haul were driving from Wolcott to my designated location. . When reserving my uhaul my subtotal was $20 when cashing out it went up to $55. Yet the gentleman told me I received a deal. I'm am appauld at the U-Haul service absolutely HORRIBLE AND MISLEADING!Amanda G.

I am so unhappy with my recent experience with Uhaul. I had nothing but issues from the get go. First I requested a dolly with the truck, which I did not get. Had a very hard time putting my stuff in the truck without it. 2nd after getting the truck and leaving for my move I noticed as I was driving at night that a headlight was out which made driving very difficult. Which made me very pissed off seeing that I was a lone with my child in VA somewhere. 3rd, I was told I had free 30 days of storage, had a reservation # but when I go to the storage facility I was told they had no available units. Was sent to another location by UHaul and that location did not comply with the 30 days, after I was told buy UHaul that they would comply with the offer. I was treated poorly and disrespected by management and employees at the Garner, NC location. I have never had such an awful experience with any company in my life.Jennifer G.

The office is very dirty and not maintain .I picked up a total of three trucks within a week. all three trucks were either on a 1/4 tank or out of fuel .I had to go put fuel in before even using the truck.one truck the handle on the back was broke so it was very hard to open the close the door.JAMES C.
Trailer light wiring was defective and i had to install a wiring harness by myself to make the trailer lights functional. This place would not assist and the 800 number on the trailer was not responsive. U-Haul has gone down in providing service but charged twice the going rate. Location was changed from Thomaston Ave. to 616 Wolcott which is a 20-30 minute difference which required me to change plans and due to the distance was charged for 2 rental appointments upon return. The location did not have any hand trucks and now had to spend more time and gas to go to another Uhaul to rent the equipment. My reservation was for 8am but the location did not open till 9am so my plans were delayed.Saul R.

Wolcott is too far out of the way and had no dollies. Had to go to Plainville to pick up dollies. Still no furniture dollies, had to do without. If you have a place to reserve dollies on the website, they should be available! Not be told they are no more at the time of pick-up.Gary R.

The bed if the truck was not cleaned and had tree branches in it, I cleaned it out out of fear that I would be charged if I didn't. The app was horrible. Check in did not work, return did not work. I was charged for cleaning even though the truck was filthy. I was also charged for a dolly that was never in the back of the truck. This place sucksChase O.
Send out trucks that don't shake at 55 mph. The truck shook so bad that the headlights were shaking terribly going down the highway. The trailer needs 2 more straps for the Rear wheels. I'm a wrecker and rollback operator by trade. And this car transporter is illegal! The straps come loose ever 100 miles. Abs is required to have 4 straps by federal carrier law!
