Read the horrible reviews prior to booking and it checks out. Booked a dolly, they have 0 dolly's - had to drive out of the way to pick one up from another location. Gas filled up to a random spot which they say is "standard" but should be absolutely unacceptable - I had to guess where to fill up to and the meter was just barely below what I picked it up at, which they made a fuss about. I don't see any of this changing, it's an essential service so just put your head down and suck it up when booking a uHaul. I picked this location because it had the least bad reviews.Aleksandar B.

The driver's seatbelt did not work (could not be buckled). I shouldn't have even accepted the rental when I found this out, but it was the only 10' U-Haul available for two days in Halifax and I needed to move. Passenger side mirror was bent down so you had to hunch down to see anything. Driver's side door doesn't close easily (needs to be slammed). Truck was not clean - inside the box had not been swept and there was garbage in the cab (used Q-tips, bottles, paper bags). The plastic grill over the vent to the right of the driver's seat was on the floor of the cab. The wipers did not work well (made a loud screeching sound at first, which eventually went away, but they left huge streaks of uncleared glass across the windshield). There was no wiper fluid at all. No lock was supplied for the bay door (I was told to go purchase my own). I don't think this truck should be rented in its current condition. The only good thing I can say about the experience is that the staff in the store were friendly and responsive, but they obviously couldn't do anything about all of the above issues in the moment.Kelly K.
The driver's seat belt didn't work (lock in place), but we couldn't wait to book another truck. I would suggest not providing a U-Haul with this problem. Giving the cab a proper tidy would go a long way as well. There were dirty socks in the dash, an empty beer bottle on the right door, and a nice cellphone in the left door.Ryan F.

Drivers seatbelt on the UHaul did not work, I was forced to drive without a seatbelt for the duration of the drive. I also declined the SafeMove coverage and it is still on my bill for $30.Timothy F.

They need to be more proactive here, I returned the truck earlier than the time I was meant to drop it, but it wasn't recorded on the system as return. No email to know exactly how much my usage cost up till this moment ( after two days)ADEBAYO ADEFEMI T.

Spent more than an hour trying to pick up the uhaul because the employee didn't know how to do it. Didn't have the truck I booked online, so we had to use a U-Haul. Didn't even ask for my driver's drivers license. Took out more than they said they were going to. System was broken and kept saying I had no money in my accounts. Returned it within half an hour-45 min to sit there for more than an hour again because they couldn't figure out how to refund me. Was late for appointments. Held up my driver who also didn't have the time to waste. Was told they had to mail my refund out, like I had a choice. Then I find out it will be 4-6 weeks before my refund is sent out and they got my wrong address. Worst experience in my entire life.Jennifer C.

The guy told me they charged $0,99per mile. But in bill they charged me for $1.43. I just used the truck for 20 mins and ended up my bill cost $35. Never come to this location .SAHIB S.

The first issue was the word lock not opening properly and taking 20+ minutes to open. The second issue was the soaked floor of the UHaul due to the giant hole in the roof of the truck. The third issue was I asked for a furniture dolly and paid for this, but ended up getting the small useless dolly that I didn't even use. Normally, I have no issue with UHaul but this was the worst and most unprofessional experience I have had. I will not be renting with UHaul again.Joseph S.

I had to pay another period because when I asked the person at the counter, I said I can being the truck back whenever tonight and he said yes, we close at 10. So I continued with the truck most of the night and recieved a message at 8:30 saying that my period was over and that another family needed it. But I was quite far from being done and not close to the drop off location so I was not able to bring it back by 9. So the other people ended up not having their truck and I needed up paying 138$ instead of 67... I am very upset and disappointedLaurie B.

Floor of truck was rather dirty and ended up transferring dirt to my belongings. Also asked for and paid for a furniture dolly and didn't receive it, Uhaul customer service also ignored this fact and made me pay for the furniture dolly I never received. Nice one guys.Alex W.
Location was convenient and clerk was helpful. Check-in is via the internet on your phone and verification of my ID took 15 minutes while standing in the parking lot, but that is not this locations fault, it is on UHaul.Kenneth M.

Pick up and drop-off at TJ's went very smoothly. The truck was there, clean and worked well. Drop off was convenient and no surprise charges, overall the rental from U-haul and TJ's was great.ALAN J M.

I'm not sure where the responsibility lies but the truck came with a combination lock on the rear door that no one had a code for. The folks at TJs were very nice but they didn't have this code and I spent more than an hour on hold and on the line with uhaul customer service and they couldn't find it. It was nearly two hours after we first called that I finally got a call back from a very friendly uhaul rep who was able to find the code. This set things back on our move by several hours on a tight timeline. I requested a discount but nothing was offered. Please let me know if you can offer a refund of some kind for this.Sarah R.
Apart from the network outage causing some issues and confusion with checking the vehicle back in, the check out process was great! We loved being able to do everything online from our phone, it was very easy. This location is great, not too crowded, lots of space to maneuver but so too far away from us.Lindsey M.

Payment machine failed. Truck rental and return process slow. Employee doesn't understand basic functions of the truck who accused me of modifying the truck when she accidentally turned off the odometer display. Truck was burning a ton of engine oil too and smelled terrible the whole time. Will not us this location again.Toby T.
The rental went so smooth. All of the reservation and pre-rental was online, all I had to do was go into the store and pick up the keys. Truly so much better than some other rental companies, and the return was even easier. Shop at TJ'S I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this locationKENNETH W S.
