The truck we were given had a spiderweb crack across the driver side windshield from the get-go and as soon as we started off on the highway after packing the entire uhaul, we got a check engine light. We ran the code and it was the catalytic converter going out. This cost us at least twice the amount in gas that we should have spent, a safety hazard, and we were basically told "here's roadside assistance's number- good luck"

Not enough people working there and the people working there were moving very slow. There were several people standing around waiting to be helped. I ended up just handing the keys and paperwork to an employee after standing there for 15 minutes without a single associate inside the building.

Did not receive the vehicle I reserved and the vehicle smelled like smoke, and had very very little gas in it. The UHaul rep was totally unwilling to help locate the van I reserved and it was overall a very unpleasant experience and cost me more than I was quoted

Reaching the office via phone was not possible ffor 2 business days, and no message option was allowed despite the recording stating there was. Unit Doors are flimsy and pricing is a llittle on the high side. I bought a code lock, but was still charged for a key lock that I never received.

The personnel at this location extremely rude, the pick up truck I rented had a Lotta severe damage the hood was covered in hail damage there had been a accident on the driver side bed and overall it was not the U-Haul experience I wanted

1. When I returned the rental, I called ahead, They acknowledged the call and that was acceptable. When I arrived there were no people or reservations ahead of me and I was the only patron at the facility at the time of the return. I had to wait 20+ minutes until someone would acknowledge I was even there to return the rental. 2. The gentlemen who received the trailer was not courteous. the trailer was clean and maintenance free when I returned it. There was one small cardboard box that I asked if they could dispose of. They told me that would be a $25 charge for. I wound up taking the box with me to dispose of. 3. I then asked politely if I could at least dispose of a licorice wrapper and the gentleman told me that would be a $25 charge also. I find it very unprofessional and when every public facility has a courtesy trashcan for small items, yet Uhaul can not accommodate a customer. I spent/invested approximately $1000 renting the equipment from Uhaul and would expect to be treated in a courteous and professional manner. Did not happen.

As I was returning my van last night there were a couple of employees milling around outside. I had not rented from your location before and simply wanted to confirm I was dropping my key in right place. I attempted to ask one of the young men as he walked within arms reach of me if I was in the right spot and he blatantly ignored my presence. I attempted to walk after him to no avail, and he continued past me once again pretending I don't exist. As he went in a door, I got an unfriendly, "we're closed," as the door closed in my face. The very least that could have been done is raise an arm and point a finger, but he couldn't even be bothered to do that. It's been a long time since I was treated so rudely. I don't have anything to do with why he was there after hours, but basic customer service says you can take 5 seconds and answer a question for the guy with his arms full of stuff. I feel like I paid more than enough money for this rental to have a simple question answered. I will be driving past your location in the future to another location that can appreciate a customer.

Truth be told. I received outstanding & exceptionally services at 1-70 , 15250 E 40th , Ave , Denver CO 80239 and would recommend this location to anyone with a moving job. Staff are professionals , clean , responsible and hand customers with dignity and excellent communication and service time is shortened by these guys. Everyone is busy doing something to help the customers. In all my years in Colorado , this is the place where the customer is the king motto is sustained . Keep it up guys.

Be more honest about the dimensions of your 15' truck; make sure the truck is ready with the extra items like the dolly already in the truck; make sure the truck is in good mechanical shape - we found out when getting the flat tire fixed that all the lug nuts were loose putting our lives and belongings at risk - UNACCEPTABLE!! Customer service was subpar and our overall experience was not great.

Worst customer service ever. Never coming back to this store again. The young lady did not release the truck to me even though I have had a reservation. She claimed that I can not tow a non U-Haul trailer even though it's within the weight, and length requirements of U-Haul. She did not even try to help or make the situation better. She was distracted by her phone texting. Definitely not the service I am used to receiving from a U-Haul store.

Front desk guy was so rude the whole check in process and when it was time for us to return the uhaul he made us do it online when we were already inside. Saying we had just gotten there when in reality we had been waiting for a while inside already. Customer Service sucks. Do not recommend.. I'll rather drive farther to a different location then to come here again..

If a customer reserves a certain truck for a certain time. Please have that vehicle available. And have knowledgeable staff. Spent more time trying to check the truck back in and the older gentleman had no clue of what he was doing at all. I believe i was overcharged cause he was inputting the information incorrect.

This location was great. However, I had trouble with the U-haul website when I needed to change my drop-off to this location. I made the change in my account, but it kept showing the original location which was nearly a 45 minute drive away. When I instead tried contacting customer service by phone to make the change, I was never able to reach a human. At the end of a long move, these issues were extra frustrating.

Was terrible when I came down to payment I only rented a pickup truck for a few hrs and ended up being told 3 different amounts 2 of which were charged to my card n then to make matters worse not only on day my rent is due did this stupid place Plat with my money but also were unprofessional and couldn't even give me any answers about my money and some supposed hold that they put and/or when my money should be returned.....FURIOUS N HELL NO WILL NEVER GO THRU UHAUL AGAIN OR REFER ANY OF MY PEEPS

Denys attitude toward me was as if I was inconveniencing her by even being there when I picked up my equipment Edgar just stared at me when I returned the equipment and then told me “I can't sit on your lap” when I didn't get out of the truck. The signs at the drop off point state to stay with the equipment, which is what I was doing and was met with this remark from him. I also wasn't aware that uhaul had become more of a self service business. After my rental contract was complete, I was instructed where to find the truck and left to load the dollies up myself. After this experience, I think any future uhaul rentals will be done at a business that provides uhaul services also as opposed to going to an actual uhaul center

Before even returning the vehicle, I was called by two different uhaul reps, hours apart, from the same location I was returning the vehicle too, asking if I was going to be able to return the vehicle before my scheduled return date. During the first phone call I provided all the information requested. The second phone call the guy said, after I told him I've already been asked about this, he said “oh, I didn't look in the notes.” At this point he continued to not read the notes and ask me the same questions from before and if I was able to return it early. With being pressured to return the vehicle early and returning it early, a partial reimbursement should be applied and returned to the card on file. Upon arriving at the return location around 7pm, the parking lot was littered with bits of trash everywhere and the building was closed up. Once I parked and made sure my rental vehicle was cleaned out, I grabbed my small garbage bag from the truck I rented and walked it to an outside trash receptacle, at this point a uhaul employee standing next to their vehicle chewed me out (yes, you read that correctly. Never was I professionally talked too but, aggressively chewed out) by not one or two but three different employees saying I can't put trash in the trash receptacle. I asked for clarification because as per the rental agreement I'm to clean out the rental vehicle. I was doing so but then I was told by uhaul employees that I can't clean out the rental vehicle that the uhaul contract is saying I need to clean out. Not once was I addressed in a professional manner as ‘sir' but as ‘man', ‘hey', ‘bud', or ‘partner'. I tried to continue cleaning the vehicle by grabbing a windshield squeegee located in the vehicle return bay, when again, I was approached by a uhaul employee who then took it away from me and mumbled how I'm not supposed to do that. The lack of professionalism, the self-entitlement attitudes of the uhaul employees, disrespectfulness and poor facility cleanliness demands a visit from cooperate to introduce basic levels of customer service training to the employees of this location.

WHY DO I HAVE TO ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS? i don't have an answer for all your questions. I only answered all of them so I could finish with this ridiculousness. The only reason I'm getting this request now is because I finally added this storage unit to my online account. I've had this particular unit for over 9 months (I didn't just "move in") and have a unit in Gilbert AZ also. I don't understand why companies are sooooo..... concerned about their customer service after services are rendered. The customer service starts at the door. I've been using U-Haul for DECADES, literally; both storage units and trucks. Why are you so interested in my opinion now? you haven't been for the last 26 years.

When I called to make the reservation I was told if it was not local my first month would be free. When I arrive I was charged. When I asked the manager to review the tape of the call he wouldn't and he charged me. The prerecorded message says something to the fact "this call the be monitored and recorded to keep us honest". That's a lie. Andrea has great great customer service and she's the only reason I've continued to use this place

The evening staff was very very rude to me, I was given 24 hours to move my things out, every time I left to move my things to another storage the would put a lock on it,causing me to take time away to go find someone to take it off, they told me that I couldn't keep my things inside, that everything had to be out of the building and on the dock, I will not reccomend them to anyone

The spaces were smaller than I thought they would be the 10 x10 was shown as a two to three-bedroom apartment which I definitely don't think it is so I felt kind of ripped off by the prices and what you actually got. We were told right Away about waiting and we were informed we couldn't wait in our unit where it was much cooler they told us we couldn't be on property waiting for our house hold goods that said they would kick us out that we had to be moving we said we are and the gentleman said we couldn't do it there idk whats going on at this location but they seemed to think we wanted to like be homeless in a storage unit ok whatever just saying rudeness and assumption are the mother of law suits ....

The assistant manager Alberto(?) was amazing...the only issue is I paid for a lock and you did not have any? Not a big deal...I get you run out of things...but locks? At a storage facility? The technicians were extremely courteous. They looked out for our needs given the fact we had to drive cross-country. We were also apprised of a another load coming our way which would knock off at least $600 off of our bill. U-Haul is very inclined to customer needs.

There were some occasions during the 3 years that I rented my unit when I needed extra time to make the payment and the customer service staff always accommodated me. I am so grateful for their understanding!

The company policy to charge tenants for a full month of service even if the tenant is not staying for the full month is nothing less then legal theft from people who in most cases are already struggling. You can best believe I will not be using your services again and will definitely tell anyone who ask about my experience.

Started out awesome, the man helping me was super helpful. Then about halfway through unloading the uhaul trailer we were getting pushed to finish up faster to get the trailer to another person. I still had over 2 days on the rental and it was not supposed to be handed in that day. They did not give us a choice to keep it for another load for the following day and gave the trailer I rented away before my time was up.

You have an employee that does NOT wear a mask when the signs at your counter states masks are mandatory, doesn't seem right. Grounds for termination I believe. You should post signs at the loading dock, for trucks ONLY. This past Saturday and Sunday there were cars parked in the loading dock area, and NOT using the side parking spots. Thank You for providing a secure and climate controlled environment.

Rate increases were constant, An offer of a flat rate was stated several years ago when I first moved into the facility, however my rental fees kept increasing, and I was informed the flat rate fee would not be applied, this wasn't a good experience

We got into a bind first day at the uhaul 40th and chambers.The uhaul storage had a power outage due to thunder storm.our storage unit was on the second floor which we needed to use a elevator.we needed to be driving to kansas that day.so with there phones they changed storage units for level one and we were able to offload the truck.what was turning into a nitemare turned out awsome.ive worked in the customer service industry for a major airline for 30 years.ive seen simalar.But this tops them all.This crew were curtious,helpful and very understanding.
