I originally reserved a SMALL truck and was given a confirmation number for the reservation. Once I had everything packed in boxes and was ready for the truck, I received a call from U-Haul that the truck would not be available and they didn't know when it would be. I DID NOT appreciate this at all. As far as I am concerned, once you give out a reservation confirmation number, you better darn well DELIVER what you promised. I definitely was NOT happy about this situation. U-Haul suggested using the U-BOX, which I also wasn't happy about because it was considerably more expensive than the truck would have been. We were traveling from Arizona to Wisconsin. I was going to drive the truck and my daughter was going to drive the car. Since I had to be out of the property and really didn't have any other choice, I decided to go along with the U-BOX suggestion. I must admit that I really ended up being completely happy with this decision. U-HAUL delivered the box to the property, we loaded the box. U-HAUL came to pick the box up and shipped it right to my driveway in Wisconsin. They gave us several days to unload the box and then, came to pick the box up. By using the U-BOX, my daughter and I could use only one vehicle to travel to Wisconsin and we could travel together rather than operating two vehicles. We didn't have to keep an eye on each other while on the road so we didn't get separated by traffic AND it was cheaper on gas. I ended up being EXTREMELY happy with my decision of going with using the U-BOX and would use this method again if necessary. Everything went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend the use of the U-BOX to anyone!!

Everyone was easy to contact and very friendly even though my stuff did not come on time (2 days late but this was not a problem) and they did not call me like they were supposed to when I called them they figured everything out right away and got back to me as soon as they could. I would definitely recommend U-Haul pods to other people!!

I was very confused with the non-person, self check in and the link sent to my phone did not work. I almost gave up until an employee suddenly appeared. Her name was Ann and she guided me thru everything. She was great and Uhaul is lucky to have her.

One of our boxes is still not here. Said they would be delivered on Tuesday after receiving confirmation on Sunday confirming a Tuesday delivery via, text, email and phone. Then they ‘lost' them and didn't know when we would receive them. Spent too many hours on hold with many to say, call this number, they should have info. We will not be recommending U-Haul for any needs.

Someone made the decision to change my pickup from May 29 to June 1. I tried to return their calls ams spent hours on the phone. Only to have call rolled over to Tucson and Mesa, neither of which would help me. Whole experience was wonder until the end. Your customer service was non existent and I still wonder why if I had a reservation and confirmation why was my appointment changed

Possibly add a metal strap about 1/2 inch wide and 6 inches long, to the bottom right side of the door. REASON: I had to use a 3' long 2x4 as a lever -- wedged between the ground and the bottom of the door -- in order to lift the door slightly on the bottom right side -- because I could not otherwise get the door to close. This lever-method worked to get the door to close, but it also splintered the bottom of the door. A metal strap along the bottom, might protect the door from splintering.

It would help if your people were more knowledgeable with a computer and setting up the orders. One person said it could be delivered to the door and the next said it would be delivered 100 miles away. We were not told that a 24 hour notice had to be made before pickup so our people who were picking it up had to drive 120 mile round trip having not being able to pick up our box. You need people who know what they are doing. I talked with only 1 gal who seemed to know what was going on, but over all it was a comedy of errors. You better find out if they are computer literate before hiring. They may know how to change tires, hook up trailers and drive a truck but they don't know how to run a computer.

Overall customer service and service times were good. The moving help at the destination was good. But my box was dropped or tipped. I'll have to do an insurance claim today. Everything looked good and was in its same spot when I opened the doors. But legs were broken on furniture, that wasn't packed resting on the legs (we purposely put them in upside down so there'd be no stress on the legs), and with nothing on top of them. Other furniture was heavily scraped. We packed very well in between items to avoid shifting. I'm going to go through the packed boxes today to see if there were other damages and then submit my insurance claim. I'd strongly advise customers to pay for the insurance - these boxes, at some point along the way, are not handled as if people's lives are packed inside.

My U-Boxes were moved to Mesa without receiving notification. Also, I initially scheduled a delivery for Saturday, April 30th and was told my boxes were at the 84th/Hayden Uhaul location in Scottsdale. I called back to change my delivery to a pick-up on Sunday, May 1st and requested that my boxes be prepped for pick-up. I received a call at the end of the week to confirm the delivery at which time I stated I had already called to change to delivery to a pick-up. The representative said it wasn't updated in the system with notes but they would do that now. When my movers arrived on Sunday at 84th/Hayden they were told that my U-Boxes could not be located. After an extended period of time they were told they had been found in Mesa and that I had requested this (not true or accurate). I then called to get more information and after much back-n-forth the boxes were delivered LATE. This is not acceptable. I am now seeing two delivery charges for amounts greater than I was informed. I was told that I would get an automatic $50 and the delivery was $79 which the rep would request be waived based on the situation. Uhaul also needs to pay for the movers as I had to reschedule and had already put a deposit down for the morning--the move should have been done before noon on Sunday, instead, the boxes didn't arrive until after 5 pm and the move wasn't complete until after midnight. I did everything I was supposed to do, providing Uhaul with plenty of advance notice and to learn my boxes were lost, notes weren't updated, my movers were inconvenienced, I was inconvenienced is not acceptable. I have been very flexible from the start but this needs to be properly addressed and compensated. Service is everything. I entrusted Uhaul with my moving and storage with a poor result.

First of all my sister in s Carolina had been diagnosed with end stage small cell lung cancer...also in her head and back...anyway We've had the truck since 2/1. To be continued

TERRIBLE! I would never rent a Ubox again. it was suppose to be shipped in October and after paying months of storage fees and having to spend hours calling and following up daily the box was finally shipped in February. Then when i went to unload the ubox i was told it was not there even though 3 people prior had told me it had been delivered. it was the worst experence with the most disorganized people. I would recommend that people never use uhaul unless they want to have their items held hostige for months.

I had requested when I came into the office that I needed 24hour access to my unit, which I was told the price and I said ok. When I got to the place and tried to get in I was denied and had to contact the manager at midnight, Ann the manager is super friendly and very helpful. I just wish the staff when I rented the unit had paid attention to what I said I needed! And the unit I was told I had was already taken and had a lock so I had to get a new one!!

I reserved 4 boxes. 1 box did not have any furniture pads. Scheduling was a complete nightmare. Please provide customer service employees with training on U-Box transactions or provide a direct dial number for U-Box reservations. Many representatives had no idea how to handle U-Box reservations. This transaction definitely did not make "moving easier". It was a complete mess!!

Storage experience had been great….truck experience has been 2/10….we have used the trucks 8 x's last 10 years only 1 time was the truck available ….every other time truck wasn't there facility was closed. No record of our reservation. This last time facility was closed and the office was open/unlocked no one on site. We had to drive across town 30 minutes told we would receive a credit of $50 that did not happen and I had hired help sitting around for an hour….hoping to never use the trucks again

At first my experience was not very pleasant and I was having some issues with customer service until I came in contact with the Manager named Anne. Her service was so exceptional that I would like to be contacted by Uhaul to make sure she received the proper acknowledgement. Communication was a very real issue. There are THREE locations on Higley Rd in Mesa. Everyone we worked with was friendly & helpful but they didn't communicate well with one another. I perceived this to be a system issue; not personalities. I spent a LOT of time on the phone trying to get answers.

I hate having to wait until office open to get unit. I am on really tight turn around svelte and you put me behind. Missed my flight home. I can rent a truck, get keys, all without having to meet someone in person. It would have been nice to be able to sign all documents before and start moving in on my schedule.

Consistency, transparency, and answering the phones would be helpful. I had more trouble getting a local facility to answer their phone and provide consistent information than anything. It is the incredibly poor way my personal effects and I were handed that has led me to decide to never do business with U-Haul in the future. My one remaining U-Box was at one location, then without notice, without my knowledge, and without my consent, the U-Box was moved across the county, approx. 53 mins. without traffic away from the original location. After numerous phone calls that I made with NO ONE calling me back, or providing constant information, no one could advise when my one remaining U-Box was moved. No one could tell me why that happened or when. Then I was told I had two boxes and that I had not accessed either since 2020. This is and was blatantly false. U-Haul repeatedly shown they did not value me nor care about me as a customer.

Need to keep an eye on the loading zone area. It gets trashy snd looks bad sometimes. The facility itself is well taken care of, so you don't want that drive up area spoiling it.

Just an awful customer service experience. I will never use UHaul again for any move. Never delivered on anything they said the first time and didn't make any concessions once they failed to deliver. Not a great business experience.

Common issue I've seen (with other customers) Is I and others have had initial trouble trying to figuring out the how to unlock the circular key  locks  We didn't know the circular locking piece needs to be removed to unlock storage unit door... it would be best if the employee conduct or have a real live lock opening demonstration to your new customers!? On how the locks actually work!? Do not just issue the keys and they have to figure it out themselves ... Other new of your customers had to ask me how your locks work... You can lose business if your customers get frustrated because they cannot figure out how to unlock and lock storage units...? 樂

Pickup of the u-box containers was a week late. After being picked up on may 12th it was scheduled to be delivered may 24th which came and went with no updates. I had to call customer service multiple times and each time the delivery date was pushed out. The u-boxes weren't delivered until June 26th. Over a month late.

The upper floor storage is inconvenient for moving and key card access makes it hard when movers are contracted to continuously access the room. I had many issues and had to continue going back to the main location to square away my reservation.

The Falcon Field facility is really large, new, and nice. Also, at least when I used a unit there, it was cheaper to rent than everywhere else in Mesa.

Having the free carts on hand at the storage facility truly helps, especially when moving furniture into an elevator to a higher floor. Thanks! There is one improvement, however, that you should make. You shouldn't allow storage renters to discard stuff they don't want under the idea that it's being recycled for use by other people who might want the discards. This liberal policy has resulted in a huge pile of junk and trash as you step outside the elevator onto the 2nd floor. It literally was garbage, including an old mattress, which is against policy. This pile of junk needs to be cleared away immediately so that it doesn't attract rodents or other pests. It literally took up half the space in the open area where the moving carts are parked. This sets a bad precedent because people will get the idea that they can dump all of the junk they no longer want into this open area just outside the elevator. This has never been allowed at any other storage facility we've previously used. In fact, there's always been a strict policy against this, which is why dumpsters are not on site. Please clean up that area outside of the elevator and change your policy because it's obviously abused by some renters. You should go take a look at it today, and you will understand what I'm writing about. Merci!

Went to office a couple times and it was locked. Had to wait 40 min each time. Emptied storage and wasn't called for 5 days with any type of concern. Building I used had no staff on site. Would recommend but with caution.

We were told our units were emptied and were told to call the police. Management never called back after 5 attempts. Also 2 occasions found mouse droppings scattered down the halls. All the young folks in your office are super customer service folks Be proud of these individuals. I talked with the young lady at falcon about the loud crazy music and she said she would fix it. Christmas music is now playing! The two young men in the leisure world that clean the space and I asked if they'd clean up a big grease spot in front of my space. It was handled in minutes. We couldn't be happier here.

I would give the actual storage facility an excellent. Customer service, especially from the very rude and disrespectful manager, Ann Bandau, I rate as poor. Along with the fact that I tried on multiple days to call and advise them of my move out and they did not answer their phones a single time, instead sending them to the regional office which wasn't able to note my move out. Even after being sent an email from the regional customer support to please call me, no one did. I had to physically go to the rental office and that's where I encountered the very rude Ann Bandau. She is much too young and inexperienced, IMO, to be running an operation like that. As long as you don't have to deal with trying to call, the facility at Falcon Field is very clean and easy to access and always kept at a very cool temperature to protect your belongings.

I arrived at the staffed facility to rent a storage unit at the on-demand falcon field storage facility. The young man was friendly and rented me unit 1089. I went home and loaded my car full of heavy boxes and proceeded to the storage facility. I arrived at the assigned unit which had the green plastic cord attached indicating the unit was empty and ready for occupancy. I broke the green cord after loading my boxes onto the cart and proceeding to the unit, rolled up the door only to find it was filled with six large tubs from the prior tenant. I tried calling the office and hitting the customer service button on the security unit but nobody answered. I called the number that's on the large poster displayed on two places at the storage unit. I was on hold for more than 10 minutes waiting to talk to somebody but nobody ever answered. I called the second time and was on hold for 8 minutes and nobody ever answered. frustrated I put my boxes in the same storage unit with the other boxes and locked the unit and proceeded back to the man storage facility. I spoke to the young man and I was frustrated and told him I had called several times and nobody answered. He said gee the phone hadn't wrong and it wasn't busy and asked me what number I called I told him I called the number that was shown prominently at the falcon Field storage facility, and he said oh that's the wrong number. I asked him if they could have somebody take the other boxes out of my unit and he said no he would have to put me in another unit. I expressed him that I had already unloaded a bunch of very heavy boxes and it was inconvenient to me to have to go unload move them and put them in another unit. Nonetheless he told me that was the only option. So I went back to the unit unloaded my boxes drag them down to the other unit that he had assigned me and put them away. Overall the customer service was just poor.

While the unmanned share program sounds great in concept, mobile check-in did not work for pick up or return. Luck had it that an employee was leaving the storage unit and was able to help with pick up. But there was nobody to help upon return and phone calls led to automated messaging and an unacceptable wait time. It got to the point where I just took pictures of the trucks and mileage and left. Definitely need to work out the kinks.

This storage unit was so easy to rent, online information and payment from afar made it so easy. Well lit and clean but mostly SAFE! I would use this climate controled storage in the Falcon Field area with U-Haul again in a heartbeat!!!

When arrived at office for paperwork, the door was locked, and no sign was on door as to why office was closed. Person yelled from behind fence that there was an emergency at another location and that they would be back in "a few minutes" I asked what few minutes meant. He replied an hour and a half, (which would be 30 minutes before their listed closing time). I had to leave and tell my moving co that they would be longer. I came back an hour later,nervous about the time, and was told the computers were down, and they had to give me a loaner pad lock, since they were out. I was told to come back the next day, after four, for the paperwork and a real lock. The attendant stated he would give me an extra month free for the inconvenience. So I did come back the next day after four, the locks were still not in, he gave me another loaner lock. I had to remind him that I needed my copies of the paperwork, and he acted frustrated that he had to print them out. When I asked him about the extra month free, he told me that since I had another unit, that I didn't qualify for that, but he gave me the internet promo of the free month (which was what I was lead to believe when I placed the online reservation, and he stated "extra month"). When I questioned that, he became agitated and mumbled something about talking to his manager. I thanked him regardless, and left. I am still waiting for a real lock, and have to call them to save a trip to see if they received their shipment.
