I called U-Haul to reserve a truck and an appliance dolly. The following day they had my reserved truck ready to go but no reserved dolly. I had to drive to a different rental company to rent a dolly for my use. You can have a 1 000 great U-Haul trucks available but what good are they if you only have 100 dollies?

Randall H.Juan helped me and it couldn't have been a better experience. First, he rearranged my reservation to allow me to drop off at his location with no penalty, despite his location being over 30 minutes and in a different city from the location I originally chose. I arrived on Sunday night and the closing time was actually 3,5 hours earlier than it said online. That meant I had 3 hours to move everything. Juan explained my options and gave me an extra 90 minutes to move all my things. He also helped me get the car off the tow dolly. Juan stayed almost an hour after closing for me, and it meant a lot. I'll be using his location for all my Uhaul storage.

Janice M.I have to say that this was the third U-Haul location I went to I originally made my reservation for 15footer Global oil when I arrived my vehicle was not returned The night before because of engine issues were bothering me the most that I was not even notified of this issue and I drove close to 30 miles to those location just for the 15 footer and then took me and the representative at that dealer another two hours to locate a 10 footer. It was very frustrating especially a day that I anticipated to spend on moving and I spent more than four hours trying to locate a U-Haul truck. The department should invest on more individuals being available on the weekends especially on the first and the end of the month when it's the busiest I had to wait close to 35-45!minutes on three different occasions to get a hold of a representative on the phone.

Other than that issue issue my overall experience was satisfactory I was happy with the service from the agent the yard and at the counter
GILBERT D.I was not able to mobile check-in. Fortunately, an employee was there to check us in before opening. However, the truck size we rented was not available. One of the trucks was missing a gas cap, the other two were out of gas.
Rebecca B.Customer service was poor. The clerk checking me in seemed bothered I interrupted what he was watching on his phone. Although he radioed for someone to help hook the trailer to my car, I stood outside being ignored by the staff member who ultimately helped me after I asked what I needed to do to get the trailer I reserved. Upon my visual inspection, the inside smelled of rotten fish and had liquid stains still on the floor of the trailer. I noticed another staff member with a bucket and mop, I asked if I could borrow the mop to clean the mess, he told me sure but I would need to hurry. It should have been cleaned and inspected before I came. Upon returning the trailer, I took extra time to ensure the trailer was cleaner than when I picked it up. I am sorry but this one experience will be my last.

They had signs indicating were to return equipment and to wait inside vehicle, it only took like five minutes to get checked the person that checked me in was friendly. Overall this was a good experience and a good value.
PAUL B.Tracy was awesome. Sadly I did not know the tires were bald until 1 explode in the middle of the Mojave Desert for 3 1/2 hours at 103 degrees, 17 miles south of Ridgecrest. This is simply negligence on U-Haul cooperate to allow tires to get so bad they are replaced after they explode putting my family at risk. These tires should have been replaced a year ago well .before the place I rented them!!! Very disappointed in U-Haul!!

Daniel A.Customer service was good. I do wish the hours for access matched the website, which are listed as 5 AM - 10 PM. I even called to confirm and was told that the main store closes at 7 PM, but access card or pin # I would be able to go into the storage section until 10 PM. I went today at 6:30 PM and they warned they would be closing at 7 PM. Other than this, I've had a great experience going to this location. Staff is helpful. No complaints.

I've been a long-time customer of the Garey location, and the staff have always been fantastic!

I had to constantly keep my head on a swivel to keep aware of my surroundings. I would definitely use U Haul and this location again.

I serve in the military and I'm always being sent out of the country for training or on temporary assignments and can't always make my payments on time. David would waive my late fees and even gave me his personal cell number so I can make my payments directly with him. I was just recently deployed to Ukraine and he made sure my unit was closed out and sent me a message letting me know it was done. My overall experience with him and all the staff was impeccable and well worth every dime I spent.

I am disabled senile customer in a wheelchair Secondly, The Behavior of a staff member at the N Garey location named Karl was insolent n displayed gross insurbodination n should be removed from performing such essential customer services like that for U-Haul Customers! N should be terminated immediately To me his behavior poses a great liability to the company! Thirdly, I rented the U-Haul truck one way from Bakersfield California to Montclair San Bernardino County n to be dropped off at the North Garey location in Pomona n qualify for a month's free storage facility at the same location After a lot of unnecessary wrangling with Karl the truck was dropped off I arrived home n noticed that my American Express Card was charged $65 I called U/Haul to find out what the charges of $65 was for? Initially I was told it was for gas! Attempt was made the day before with the tank fully filled n Karl rejected the drop off! What is the charge of $65 for? This case is filed for dispute Slready my credit card had been charged $181 plus for the trip Bakerfield to Montclair California Please stop charging my credit card unnecessary because it is In your possession I will prefer monthly bills sent to me for settlement I am very disappointed in U/Haul n will never refer anyone to u! Answer 1 the facility felt secure however by storage row never turned on. Luckily there was natural light from the window. Answer 5 although, facility was clean the storage area, restroom, lobby and indoor painting the lighting in my storage area wasn't working.

All the units were dark and small, and the hours aren't convenient. While some of the staff is friendly, the one who rented me a van had a sticker that said "owner" on his nametag and was the least helpful and competent of the staff.

They didn't close out my space and I was sent a upcoming payment notice. It took 45 minutes on the phone to resolve their mostake.
Nicholas S. | Expérience généraleMy unit had ants, i was once locked inside the facility for over an hour because they locked up early and no one bothered to check if anyone was still there not to mention that there is no way to reach the actual facility by phone when you call the listed number it gives you the 800 number and you can be on hold indefinitely, and the parking lot is always covered in broken glass and litter. It is poorly managed but the staff was always friendly just not very helpful. I had an outdoor unit and 2 uboxes there. I requested access to my 2 uboxes and was told to deal directly with the GM, i gave 2 days notice and the boxes weren't put out until 1 pm and i wasted money and time renting a trailer and when i came to get a couple essentials with my car they had put the units away even though i let the GM know i would be back before close to access them. This location is a mess.

They would always say they'll send a message to call me back. They would never call me back. Only time they did was when I'd pay my rent late since no one could help with changing my due date or extend the due date to avoid the late fees. So I paid the $27 late fee every month for almost a year. Other than that, I love this facility and the staff! Call center needs some customer service training and more access to assist with accounts tho...

They are very customer focused, which is hard to find these days. The only request would be to have the local number posted and more available. The 800 number helps with most basic scheduling, but when I as a customer need something more specific and need to talk with the local office, it was impossible to find a phone number that I could call directly. I do appreciate how the mgr responded to my requests, but it would be perfect if local office numbers were more accessible.

We went to storage unit but not even a week after just getting the storage unit we had not slip and lock on our storage unit! Unacceptable.. We go into office to the very people who just gave us the unit and they remember us and so they didn't have answers as to why it happened and how it was someone else fault and no ownership taken. Very bad experience with this process!

I love their indoor facility with climate control, main reason why I choose them over other storage facilities. They also give you the first months rent free and if you ever need to upsize Or down size they have a great selection to do so.
