Our local store let us in bc they had not put it in storage yet. The email we received only said the box was here and did not mention a 24 hour wait period

He was incompetent in his ability to secure a simple reservation, he was constantly complaining about his responsibilities. He failed to secure a furniture dolly for me, and then lied about it when I requested a refund for something I never received.

Gregory H.NOTHING at all. The lady working ( I forgot her name), was so much MORE than helpful. She really bent over backwards to help me get the correct trailer that I needed. I had already received a trailer at another location that had closed, when I realized my mistake. The customer service agent in Benton Harbor, asked a few question, made a phone call, informed me of my choices, and had me on my way in a timely manner. She hooked up the trailer, the lights didn't immediately work, she tested them, corrected the error, and had me down the road, all of this in less than an hour's time. Thank you UHUL.

The after hours return sequence would have been nice to have a rundown on before leaving, but it got figured out after a while, thank you!
Alexandra M.The building had water on the slip hazard, truck was nasty and dirty no one ever wiped it down. My fiancé cleaned the truck before we moved it. On the highway the truck was shaking over 60 mph, a piece of junk. Just giving my truth.

Patrick F.This truck says 10 miles to a gallon I DETECTED LIES I got maybe 300 miles to a tank. My trip was 661 miles I had to top off the truck it was on a half tank when I got it, then I had to full up 2 more times.

Once inside two guys were behind the counter with their feet propped up on the counter. Both people were obviously playing games on their phones. They acted as though I was bothering them and were completely unprofessional. When I told them I was outside to drop the trailer, they looked up and saw my truck and the trailer on the monitor.

Eddie P.U-Haul is Great service ONLY for Truck rental. No complain for Truck and Truck rental service centers.. They are great. Do NOT hire any labor from "Moving Help" site. especially the low labor one as they all are SCAM. I booked "Forshey Movers" for Madison AL location ( they are in Ardmore TN) and WORST experience ever..No one picks up the phone or email response and last day NO SHOW.. NO calls even after date for any apologies.. I feel like there is NO company like Forshey Movers as unable to find in Google or google maps.. STAY AWAY from moving help.. customer service - especially Sonya from Mountain time zone worst worst worst..

Eddie P.I informed rep upon arrival of the status of the unit upon pick up and rude clerk upon pickup. He was very helpful and understanding and said that was not allowed per company policy the unit is supposed to be cleaned and sanitized upon drop off.

Eddie P.Attn: U-Haul manager, Your system has some serious flaws that are detrimental to your customers! 1) Specify better on your website that cargo vans are "in-town" rentals only and must be picked up/dropped off at the same location. When I indicated that my mileage was going to be ~1 200 miles, that should have been a big red flag to you that my rental was not "in-town." 2) If you say that "a local U-Haul representative will call you by 6pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022 to get agreement on and schedule available time, equipment and location, " make sure that happens because it didn't. 3) When I sent a message to you via your website specifically telling you that I was picking up the cargo van in Benton Harbor, MI and dropping it off at a different location in FL, make sure someone reads those messages and acts accordingly. 4) When a rep tells me that my new 10' truck rental will total $500, make sure that the rep puts those notes in your system or if he did, make sure that the counter rep can see those notes. On 6/12/22, Cody told me that the TOTAL would be $500 INCLUDING the Safe Move insurance. He didn't say that any applicable fees and tax would be in addition to that. He said the TOTAL would be $500. On 6/13/22, when I picked up the truck, the counter rep told me that the total was $624.34. That's a big difference from $500! $124,34 to be exact. The counter rep was unable to help me and neither she nor I could get a hold of a U-Haul rep via phone. On 6/20/22, I sent an email to U-Haul's Customer Service explaining these issues and asked for a refund in the amount of $124.34. I have yet to hear back from them regarding that. U-Haul has some serious internal problems, broken systems and poor management IMO. It would be nice if someone there did the right thing, contacted me about the above and honored my refund request.

Only complaint -- the online self-check-in didn't include instructions all the way through...like, how do I physically get the key and know which truck is mine? And I have to have a second security feature to rent a truck? Like, a passport or you're going to call my friend at 7am?? No thanks. I just went to the counter to get my truck.

Elisha L.When I was bringing my second load of stuff into my storage unit 385 way in the back their was uhaul trucks in the way blocking the way to go out so I had to reverse all the way back just so I could go return the uhaul into the return lane..Then when I was telling the guy that I was blocked in ..he said well ur gonna have to reverse..but what if I couldn't do it..but anyways he was kinda rude.

The previous night I spoke with a customer service representative by phone in the U-Haul call center and in speaking with him I requested if I could extend my truck return time at no charge and he assured me that that would not be a problem. he offered to extend my time to 5 PM with no charge. I clarified with him that there would be no charge and he assured me it was a courtesy and there would be no charge. When I arrived at the store apparently that conversation with the call center had not been noted on my account and the system charge me $54 for the time extension Eric was very helpful and courteous and rectifying the problem for me and helping me to choose a storage unit that suited my needs. He was also helpful and getting the truck maneuvered to where I could unload easily. Eric is a very helpful courteous and respectful customer service representative. Thank you Eric!
