The service at the counter was exceptional and vehicle served it's purpose.. What I didn't like was I received the vehicle with only a quarter tank of gas in it. I drove 22,5 miles and was charged $ 20,02 (ok) but then charged an additional $ 26,4 surcharge because there was only a quarter tank of gas in it! Ridiculous. Just charge more for the truck if that 'is what your after....Dennis S.

When I clicked the â€œcheck inâ€ button before leaving to go pock up the truck on August 4th , it still listed Kelly's Automotive on Ridge Pike as the pick up location. When I arrived at Kelly's, they said they had no truck available for me and that I should go to the Norristown location. Only when I look back at my reservation NOW do I see that the pick up location has been changed. So it was changed in my file AFTER picking up the truck. People should not have to guess where they are picking up their truck the morning of and then drive all over creation to get it. When I got to the Norristown rental place, they said they did not have a dolly for me even though I reserved two different types 3 WEEKS in advance! So I was given one dolly. The two women at the front seemed stoned and not very helpful at all. They didn't seem to know what they were doing or what was going on. Then they didn't know where the truck was. They gave us the key and told my son and I to look for the numbers on the truck that were on the key. The truck should have been out front ready to go.Jean C.
Probably hire more people, because the employees at this location were miserable, had bad attitudes, and really poor customer service skills. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I think it's because they were over-worked.Sandy D.

Scheduled a 20' truck online for a specific location, but then was changed to a different location nearby. Didn't realize until I arrived on moving day the truck was also changed to a 26' truck which was entirely too big for me to drive and the streets/neighborhoods I was moving to/from. Had to take a cargo van and make multiple trips in 95 degree heat. Not at all happy. Your online system should not let people schedule things it can't deliver on.Jeffrey D.

I don't understand! They told me at pick up my van was on Empty, and I would need to add gas.....and would get a $24 fuel credit which I did since I was over a quarter tank. However, I put $50 of my own gas in tank. I asked for a van that was Full at pick up but they said I had to take the Empty one.....makes no sense!!! My calculation is that Im out approx. $25!!! Also, both side mirrors would not move electrically or manually! very dangerous! we had a very nerve racking experience. Please call me 484 238 4987Douglas M.

The layout of the parking lot is very unclear and very cluttered. We waited in line for ten minutes to speak with someone inside just to have them tell us to pull around behind the building to return the trailer.David S.

Provide direction on where to park vehicle upon return. With my first rental, it seemed like I was supposed to leave it out front even though I was checking in and completing the return through the website. But the employee checking in other vehicles indicated I could park it in a parking spot and complete the return there. With this reservation, I did that and finished the return only to be approached by another employee who told me to park it in front of the office, where I had left the previous vehicle and was told at that time to park it in a spot. Not sure if there was a breakdown in communication or confusion with online returns, but it would be helpful to provide direction for the customer and confirm with employees where self check-in customers can park their vehicle.Terrance K.

Man was rude/ non-communicative. Acted like he couldn't find my reservation. Disappeared for 15 minutes. Came back and just stared at the computer for 2 more minutes. Said I wouldn't be charged for the blankets (I was). The experience was such that when I saw he was there to return the truck, I did it online as opposed to having to go inside and wait in line again.James M.
The truck needed maintenance. (Bald front tires, loose steering wheel, side view mirrors bounced around. Was also only given 1/8 tank of gas to start out withGREGORY M.
This experience was terrible. There was a line out the door to pick up and people arrived to pick up their rental and there were no vehicles available. They were seriously WAY OVER BOOKED and they couldn't give people the vehicles that they had reserved. This was terrible as people had to move that day and UHAUL had nothing to give to them even though they had a reservation for a vehicle. I fortunately got my Van but many many people did not get their vehicles. It was terrible. Not sure why UHAUL over books. It was not a good scenario and people were angry.DEBORAH B.

I showed up to this location at my reservation time. The staff told me that I don't have a reservation in their system and they don't have a truck for me. When I asked "what do I do?" They tore off a piece of paper and told me to call the customer service number. After a 30min hold I got transferred to a rep who told me I did have a reservation and that this location does have trucks available. The rep asked me to bring the phone to the manager, and only then did they find my reservation. I spent over an hour and a half at this location after leaving at 5am to be there on time. the staff including manager have the lack of professionalism and poor interpersonal customer services. also, the vehicle smelled pee and was not clean. I found a bottle of pee in the vehicle.DONG L.
I waited 1 hour in line to pick up the vehicle keys , I had reservation and uploaded all documents for mobile pickup and equipment was allocated but still , there was no person at the counter. Finally one person showed up he was rude and yelling curses in air it's totally unacceptable. I would never go to this location again, even thinking not to use U-Haul and go for alternative, they have no concern for customers time and energy.Prem V.
I was lucky. I had a reservation just like many others, but while I got my truck, others did not and had to contend with no explanation or customer service. There was one particular employee who's name I do not recall, but she had long fake eye lashes, nail work and a cell phone with a yellow pikachu phone case. She was condescending to all the customers in her line. All she ever did was question the customers as to when they made their reservations. She never bothered to even lookup a single reservation and frustrated each and every one in her line. She had a condescending tone and displayed a strong desire to NOT do any work. Even when another person who was very nice was completing my reservation, the other girls walked over and questioned my reservation and the validity of it.Indranil C.

The manager was so unprofessional. They did not have the supplies we ordered in advance. The manager called us 2 hours after we left and told us to bring the truck back immediately or else it would cut out. She would give no explanation. We were in the middle of a move and had to rush through it and were unable to make the second stop of our move as planned.Robert A.
This was the worse experience I have ever had in my life!! I have already filed a complaint with uhaul customer service to get my money refunded. All of the employees were very helpful, however the company has a whole did not one thing to make sure I had the equipment I had reserved. Pickup was great. We just got a new hitch so we never rented a trailer before, so Frank was super helpful in showing us how to hook it all up and we tested everything - great job, great experience, great customer service! Frank had told me that we could drop the trailer either back in the spot we got it or leave it out front. Drop off was a whole other story. Since there was a truck parked near where the original spot was, I opted to just detach the trailer and leave it out front as Frank suggested as it would have been difficult to get around that truck and being inexperienced with backing up the trailer, it was just easier to drop it out front. In addition, I had a house full of company and my wife was not feeling well, so I was in a bit of a hurry to get back home. When I checked with the young lady working there around 6:40 Saturday evening 7/23/22 if there was anything we needed to do with the paperwork, she said no but I couldn't leave the trailer out front. I told her that we were told we could, and she became hostile with a nasty attitude and said "Who told you that b/c I'll call anyone up right now and ask them". At the time, that would have taken too long to hassle with her, so since the trailer was already unhitched, I manually moved the trailer from the front of the building and put it in the parking spot we got it from b/c she refused to help. Really poor experience and the exact opposite of the customer service we received upon pick up with Frank, who was excellent. Therefore the average rating. Excellent rating up front, but really poor on the backend both from the attitude we received and the lack of service.Lawrence G.
Create a drop off kiosk. I waited in line for 30 minutes only to have one of the workers come out of the woodwork so I could drop off the trailer I rented. It was 30 minutes of wasted time for me. I did everything online so I wouldn't have to be in this situation!Jeffrey T.

I was kept waiting for 50 minutes despite having reserved the time weeks in advance. When I met with the clerk, he implied there were no 26ft trucks available, which is what I reserved. and told me I'd only be able to take the 20ft truck because someone else was late with their truck, but when he and I walked to the back, there were two there. He still tried to make me take the 20ft truck, but I insisted and was eventually able to get the truck. He was rude throughout and flat out ignored me when I asked certain questions. I rented a truck for three days because my son was going to be away traveling so I needed to take him to the airport on the middle day in my car. The total amount of driving and I can verify this was 50 miles but I was charged for 300 miles. I took it to the dispute level and was denied. No one contacted me. I felt and feel that I have been ripped off and will not be using U-Haul again.ERIC L.

I returned my trailer a day early, spoke to a representative on scene, and no I was charged a 6 day extension fee?? Unbelievable and I will be letting all my friends and family know about this experience. The staff was rude and ignored me for the first several minutes of being in the store so she could talk to a friend that was sitting in the customer chair in front of her desk. This would have been excellent, but the reservation was entered wrong at the location that made the 24hr pickup challenging. Returning vehicle was very simple. Dropped off and the location sent me an email with bill. Would recommend but this is my second experience where there is a disconnect with the process to enable 24 hour pickupJon M.

Worst UHual Location I have ever experienced. Only 1 employee working waited over 30 minutes to pickup my equipment! Employee was fighting verbally with customers ahead of me using profanity. Truck was in poor condition, wandered on the road, beat up, dented. Front tires severely worn on the inside edges (ball joint issue). Braking performance very poor especially loaded. Will NEVER use this location again!!!Michael G.

This comment is for the storage facility in Colmar, not the dropoff location. I was offered a free month of storage with my rental but later told that only applied to the indoor units. I was only offered the free month after I selected an outdoor unit though so I feel like I was lied to somewhere along the way. We reserved a unit a month in advance and were told the day we were moving in that the unit we reserved doesn't exist, despite us calling the day prior to confirm. Then the unit was not the size we wanted but had no choice but to move in anyway. We asked for the price we reserved but were told that we would have to pay more.
