I don't understand why U-Haul requires a phone verification to someone not in my household in order to rent a trailer. It just needlessly bothers people that need not get involved in what I do.Theodore S.

Truck was very dirty, could barely see out the windows, there was something sticky all over the seats and floor. Truck shakes violently. Bad tires, or tie rod or something. Was definitely NOT good experience. Definitely will not be using a truck from that location again. Maintain your trucks, clean them, and it would have been way better.David L.
Truck not cleaned from previous renter. Cab had been smoked in. Windshield driver view had 3 small chips in it. No blankets placed in truck as ordered . Had to get myself after asking. Pickup location was changed by uhaul. Very inconvenient. Made 4 calls before I spoke to real agent. Requested extra mileage for inconvenience which was granted.Cathleen K.

The counter guy was pretty gruff. Basically telling us he would â€œhang up on â€œ our insurance guy if we had a claim. Yet he took the insurance card info 路â€â™€ï¸ Seems like a rudely hard sell of the $10 insurance. That left a bad taste fir this location. The van was, however there & ready. And the gentleman who checked the van back in was very polite & helpful.Lily R.
The one guy who was working was doing a great job getting customers helped even though a lot of them seemed unprepared and needed extra attention. He really needed some help though and what poor coverage for a Saturday.Jacquelyn A.

Y'all need to hire more people to work at the Ithaca location at the end of July beginning of August. Most leases are Aug 1 to July 31. Poor guy at the desk at 8am had a line of 6 folks. Yes, there's the mobile app. I'm not planning on moving again, but this is a college town and July/August is always going to be a mess EvanEvan W.
This location was clearly understaffed. It was only 1 staff member working a busy Saturday. The one staff was super friendly and did the best he could but there was still a pretty long line and wait. I was not able to leave the parking lot until 1,5 hours later past my pick-up time due to multiple issues and questions that I wanted addressed first. Most of the equipment (appliance dolly and utility dolly) I requested to rent was not available so that did not help. The 20' truck I had to use was in TERRIBLE condition but I had no choice as there were no other availabilities. The lift gate was broken so it was near impossible to open and close completely. The brakes had issues so it did not feel completely save to drive. The steering also did not feel smooth at all. It was clear that the truck was not properly maintained and it was a frustrating experience. U-Haul needs to do something about better maintenance of their trucks and letting customers know ahead of time if rental equipment is not available.Kenneth M.
Overall, a terrible experience, and the worst service and treatment I ever received. First, you didn't have the truck I reserved. You gave me a smaller truck and only two hours to use it. Second, you read the fuel tank incorrectly and charged me for gas I didn't use. Your customer service is lousy. Well done, Uhaul.Christine U.
The people working at this branch really go out of their way to help customers out. They are always extremely busy, but every single time I come they treat me and other customers with the utmost respect and courtesy. Bad pick-up experience. Wrong pick-up location was sent to me through text message. I got to the wrong location, called the customer service and was told that I was not in the system, however I had already checked-in online and paid a day before. Made several phone calls and paid for another Uber ride to get to the correct location.Xiaoying Z.

the first thing they asked me is if I had any issues with the truck. i told them of my tire and wiper fluid issues and they immediately started looking into it. Very friendly and were not too pleased that the vehicle was handed over to me with a bad tire.Thomas F.

Ordered truck online. No only could location not confirm availability of truck the day before but they had no record of my online reservation. Had to give them a printout of the confirmation for them to find my reservation. Suggest that you get your IT Systems working properly.Lawrence M.

The office manager lied about the time the truck was returned and charged an additional day. I had proof that I had returned the truck the day before through an email to Jackie_dowdney@uhaul.com and pictures available on request. Manager did not send an email with additional charges in a stealth behavior. I went to the store and they refused to reverse the charge arguing that the manager was not on site and I had to call customer service.FranciscodeAsis M.

I rent from the Ithaca NY facility several times a year and the representatives are always helpful and friendly, I rarely wait more than 15 minutes to sign out a vehicle and about the same time for the return. The experience is always easy and stress free. With the computer reservation system and return/receipt system I have quick access to all the information concerning the rental. Can't say enough good things about this location.David G.
