When we arrived to pick up the rental there was no one inside the location. It was open and the phone kept ringing off the hook but no attendant was on site. Approximately 20 minutes later the attendant arrived. We were informed that there was no hand dollies available although I had reserved 2 of them and confirmed the day prior to my pick up. I attempted to contact customer service but there was a long wait time to reach an agent. I scheduled a call back which I did receive about 1 hr later. The phone agent indicated he was unable to help me and would transfer my call to customer service. I again waited for a call back and never heard from your company. This was a less than desirable experience to say the least.Olga F.

Two things: 1) I include two dolly's in my request and this was confirmed. When I got there, they told me that they don't have dollies at that location. So why did I find out AFTER I got there to pick up the truck!!!??? Why was this confirmed as part of my reservation!!!!???? 2) The guy behind the counter was rude. He told me the truck was "in the middle". and pointed outside. I had no idea what he was talking about. I asked him what he meant, he repeated rudely, "It's in the middle". I walked outside and came back in and pointed to a truck sitting outside if this was the truck, and he was rude to me again! I asked him to walk outside, and talk me to the truck and point to it so I could see what he was talking about. He did so - there was no way I would have found that truck with his instructions "It's in the middle".Mark S.

Both Gustavo who helped me check in and Dave who handled my return were so nice. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and spoke with care and kindness. Thanks to their excellent work I would never hesitate to use UHaul, especially from this location. I honestly did not expect to have a great experience given renting a uhaul in Manhattan but it was the best and easiest transaction I've ever had with any UHaul location.william H.
The system let us book delivery (with moving help) on a Sunday. However, the Martinsville, IN location where our boxes were located apparently doesn't open on weekends so our movers needed to reschedule. This is a major website flaw that should be addressed.Corrin C.

I was given misinformation about parking at the location when I called uhaul. The location canceled my reservation, for some unknown reason. When it was re-entered into the system I was charged more than double the original reservation. I was told they couldn't adjust it in the store and that I had to call the 1800 number. I called the 1800 number and they told me that the store had to do it. I asked them to please not give me the run around. Finally it was adjusted on the phone after requesting to speak with a supervisor. Then it was delayed. I was told by uhaul that this was because the original reservation was canceled. I had to get the right person on the phone to issue my refund for days delayed. Then I asked to confirm when it arrived since no one communicated with me when it arrived at my destination. Stuff in the box shifted forward and some fragile items were damaged. The gentleman that dropped it off was nice and a rep that actually physically confirmed my box was at its destination was helpful. Mostly it WAS A DISASTER!Melissa S.

The pickup was disorganized and I didn't get any information about how to drop it off after hours (I didn't realize my drop off was after hours).Allisen J.
The staff were helpful and friendly, but: (1) the van was in terrible (trash and crumbs strewn all over the cabin, a broken handle on the driver side door, key not working on the driver side door); (2) the fuel tank was empty when I got into the van (the yellow "low fuel" light was on), despite the receipt claiming it had a quarter tank, so I had to get gas immediately just to drive it; (3) the receipt claimed the van had ~50 fewer miles on it when I picked it up than it actually did. The photos of the van seemed to be of a different van--I could tell this because the van in the photos had reflective strips at places where the van I rented did not. Additionally, I had reserved 2 dollies to move the heavy items I had, and there were no dollies at the store. Overall, this was a rather outrageously disappointing experience and I'm thinking I'll use a different company for any other things I need to move.Anna H.

Returned the truck at 4:40pm and they didn't check it in until the next morning. Although they gave the truck to someone else right away. Then they say I drove over 10 miles when I barely drove 5 and everytime I fall to do a dispute they give me the run around connecting me to a bunch of different representatives and none of them is the one I need to start the dispute so I am over it. Keep the extra money. And I'm only doing mobile checkouts from now on and never going to this location againJovan G.
No staff was there. It was supposed to open at 8 and people showed up at 10:30. The truck assigned to me was buried behind 6 other vehicles, not that I could get my keys due to the fact no one was there to give them to me. I had to pay my mover for 21/2 hrs of standing around. The app should be disabled or explained for this location. I selected U-Haul because of the option of using the app. But when I got to the â€œlotâ€ my van was packed in behind others. The agent lectured me and said I should have clicked â€œI can't Find my vanâ€ until it gave me one that was easier to get because â€œnobody is moving 4 trucks for you.â€ So it took forever when I explicitly picked your company because the app was supposed to be easy.Matt C.
When I went to drop off the vehicle workers had the street blocked off and we're working right in front of the facility. In an attempt to turn in the truck I had to park offsite and received a $115 parking ticket. The attendant was helpful but I would not recommend this facility for drop off in the future.DANIEL LEWIS D.

The gentleman working at this location was professional and courteous, I appreciate his work. The truck, though, was pretty nasty. There were crumbs everywhere, almost ALL the surfaces were sticky, I didn't even want to put my phone down on the console. The cargo area was actually cleaner than the passenger area. It's a somewhat minor complaint, but I think others would appreciate a cleaner truck. Merci.Michael J.

The lady on the front desk was very rude, she was very unfriendly, and not willing to answer my questions after asking me to fill the gas tank myself, why? how will the gas payment be balanced on my final payment?... normal logic questions....she kept giving attitude... Online I arranged 7am pickup. The location doesn't open till 8am but according to the UHaul website I should have been able to do a self pick up. That was not true. Then the staff didn't actually arrive till 8:20am. I was running an Easter event with 500 guests arriving at 10:30am so to not be able to get our supplies until 9am was very stressful. I reserved a 15 foot truck. When I showed up to the location, they only had 10 feet trucks. I had to make 2 trips from my move. It took twice as long and I had to pay my movers more money. I also reserved a dolly and the location didn't have one, but I was still charged for it. It was a total disaster and made my moving day even more stressful.Timothy F.

When I arrived 5 mins prior(9:55am Est) to my scheduled pickup at 10am NO ONE was in the building to check me in or give me my keys. It took over 20 mins for anyone to unlock the doors and let us(a group of 3) in to begin our process. Once in I continued to have a rocky confirmation so much so that even as I was now on the phone with customer service I was recieving conflicting and confusing information. This made me 30 mins late to meet my movers, delay my designated move time and cost me extra expenses!!jarrett M.

Booked a van+dolly online 2 days prior. Was told there was no dolly but upon pickup, but the UHaul representative search all other vehicles to find one. Didn't have to wait long for it to be rectified. Representative was very accommodating. The van was clean enough, considering. Not specific to the location. I booked my 9ft van nearly a month in advance so I could secure what I wanted. WIth that, I reserved a dolly and furniture pads. The day before, Uhaul calls me to see if I'm willing to drive a ten foot truck. Sure, fine. But then they upcharged me to a 10ft price when I didn't agree to pay more, why would I have to if I was saving you the hassle? The next day, I get a call that that location doesn't have a ten foot truck, can i accept a different location. Sure, Fine. Show up to get my van, and no dolly or moving blankets. Now my Dresser has a huge scratch because i didn't have a blanket on it. Next time i move should I just book 3 hours in advance? or do i need to book five months in advance? I don't understand why i got the run around for what seemed like a pretty well planned reservation. Who got my 9ft truck? who got my 10ft truck? who got my furniture blankets and dolly?Sarah P.
