I was suppose to pick up my rental in Lompoc and Lompoc screwed me by not having my rental there and told me I had to go 40 miles round trip and then when I had to take my rental back it was another 40 miles!! That’s what I call service with a smile, Lompoc really puts it to ya

Very kind! I had a great experience. It took maybe two minutes longer than expected but the staff was very polite and efficient otherwise that it made my experience very worth while. So happy to do business with this location! If only every business were like these awesome guys.

Frustrating that I had to drive an hour out of my way to pick up my truck, but that was a scheduling problem. The pickup location was fine however!

Both your computer system and your phone support are miserable wastes of time for people seeking to rent equipment. You ask way too many intrusive questions up front both online and on the phone, and your phone person was officious and determined to be unhelpful, for any of my questions that departed from his script. If I have occasion to rent from UHaul again--which at this point is pretty doubtful--I will not use either online or phone again, but instead will deal with the human beings at the pickup and dropoff locations, both of whom in this case were helpful and competent.

This location is one of the worst U-Haul rental locations I've ever visited in all my years. They're the exact opposite of helpful terrible representatives of any business I would never rent a trailer from them I only use them to drop off equipment because they are the closest to my home. And the one time I needed to rent a piece of equipment from them I went there and the guy that runs the U-Haul store wasn't even on site. He was out running personal errands when I had someone call him he told me he'd be there in 20 minutes. I waited 20 minutes for him he never showed up so I called him again he said wait another 20 minutes! This U-Haul store reminds me of an illegal Chop Shop down in Tijuana Mexico. The first time I went there they even had this old drunk Mexican sitting outside the store obviously drunk on alcohol who proceeded to drive away right in front of my eyes as I was there waiting on the U-Haul guy to come back. This place is the epitome of why we need tougher immigration laws in this country. Literally feels like a Chop Shop when you go there. The worst most poorly organized U-Haul store ive ever been to Coast to Coast. I voiced my concerns before about this location and the main location in Santa Barbara and doesn't seem like anybody cares or listened. so perhaps I'll just start doing business with another rental agency or purchase my own equipment as I'm in the financial situation to do that. I don't know why there's been so many problems with U-Haul down here in central California I did business with them for almost a decade in NorCal never had a single issue except for the poorly run store in Crescent City of course. The prior customer left a locked lock on the back of the truck. Perhaps just to make sure that the door is not locked!

The truck was real dirty when I rented it and I was charged a clean up fee when I arrived at my destination. I had to call customer service three different times and wait on hold for over ten minutes until got a hold of a manager to credit the fee. This is after the customer service rep, Amber, was rude, unprofessional and hung up on me.
