Fix your reservation system. The guys in the shop had to clean up a mess that they had no control over, and it seemed like they were used to having to do that. Why on earth when someone is changing the time would you cancel the entire rental BEFORE sorting a solution out? Super frustrating and a wretched customer experience.

This office had closed (early) when I went to pick up my reserved truck. I had to cancel EVERYTHING (including childcare and three other people I had coordinated) as a result. The next day they told me they didn't have that truck available. And they charged me for gas even though I topped it off to where it was when I picked it up.

I dropped off the trailer at 8:15 am. No one was there. There store hours Mon - Fri stated 8am - 5pm. No employee showed up until 8:33 am. Uhaul overall was not efficient at all. But the trailer worked great.

The only issue I had was with the online check out process. I could not share my location, and finish the process on my phone. It would not let me go to the next steps. Luckily the staff was very helpful and I was able to leave my U-haul without finishing the online check out process.

Very expensive. Was told $0.39 per mile with the $19.99 rental. When paying I was told it was $0.79 per mile. That is crazy. I'll rent from Avis or Hertz time. I've been told auto dealers are renting vehicles now too.

Drop off was not as expected. Had to travel 40 minutes when I booked a uhaul in my same town. The day before I recurved a call saying the nearest one was 40 minutes away. Was not happy. Trailer worked well though. Computer was down at pick up and made pick up a lot longer. Even though I pre-registered. All in all was not a smooth pick up experience

The online checkin was great. I loved that we could drop the trailer off even though the facility was closed. We just took a photo of the trailer unhitched in front of the store as the guy suggested.

This location was fine but I had to drive from Santa Barbara because the Goleta pickup location had one employee and he called in sick. I was not notified. It set my moving day back 3 hours.

I was suppose to pick up my rental in Lompoc and Lompoc screwed me by not having my rental there and told me I had to go 40 miles round trip and then when I had to take my rental back it was another 40 miles!! That's what I call service with a smile, Lompoc really puts it to ya

Very kind! I had a great experience. It took maybe two minutes longer than expected but the staff was very polite and efficient otherwise that it made my experience very worth while. So happy to do business with this location! If only every business were like these awesome guys.

Both your computer system and your phone support are miserable wastes of time for people seeking to rent equipment. You ask way too many intrusive questions up front both online and on the phone, and your phone person was officious and determined to be unhelpful, for any of my questions that departed from his script. If I have occasion to rent from UHaul again--which at this point is pretty doubtful--I will not use either online or phone again, but instead will deal with the human beings at the pickup and dropoff locations, both of whom in this case were helpful and competent.

This location is one of the worst U-Haul rental locations I've ever visited in all my years. They're the exact opposite of helpful terrible representatives of any business I would never rent a trailer from them I only use them to drop off equipment because they are the closest to my home. And the one time I needed to rent a piece of equipment from them I went there and the guy that runs the U-Haul store wasn't even on site. He was out running personal errands when I had someone call him he told me he'd be there in 20 minutes. I waited 20 minutes for him he never showed up so I called him again he said wait another 20 minutes! This U-Haul store reminds me of an illegal Chop Shop down in Tijuana Mexico. The first time I went there they even had this old drunk Mexican sitting outside the store obviously drunk on alcohol who proceeded to drive away right in front of my eyes as I was there waiting on the U-Haul guy to come back. This place is the epitome of why we need tougher immigration laws in this country. Literally feels like a Chop Shop when you go there. The worst most poorly organized U-Haul store ive ever been to Coast to Coast. I voiced my concerns before about this location and the main location in Santa Barbara and doesn't seem like anybody cares or listened. so perhaps I'll just start doing business with another rental agency or purchase my own equipment as I'm in the financial situation to do that. I don't know why there's been so many problems with U-Haul down here in central California I did business with them for almost a decade in NorCal never had a single issue except for the poorly run store in Crescent City of course. The truck was real dirty when I rented it and I was charged a clean up fee when I arrived at my destination. I had to call customer service three different times and wait on hold for over ten minutes until got a hold of a manager to credit the fee. This is after the customer service rep, Amber, was rude, unprofessional and hung up on me.

I would not change a thing. The manager gave me excellent advice and everything went like clockwork. Since this was a one-way move we were not sure how things would work, and we were returning the truck after hours. The process was excellent.

I've been renting uhual cross country for years. This is the first time I'm dissatisfied. I drove the truck for about 15 miles. Returned with the same gas level. For only 1 hour and I'm getting charged over a hundred. Come on you guys. You are stealing my money. I want you to get it right. This isn't normal.
