Returned the truck a day early and under mileage with extra gas in the tank but was charged a 21 $'after hours' fee for dropping the key in the dropbox instead of going in and talking with someone even though I dropped the truck off at around 2 p.m. This is the first time I've ever been charged that fee. 1. U-haul was not loaded with my requested equipment. 2. Furniture blankets trown in box... not even folded. 3. Staff seemed too busy to check in my vehicle. They made me and other guests take pictures of the mileage and gas. It would have been easy for them to just go look instead of having people run back and forth. 4. I called the store and asked if they had a truck available. They said no. I called uhaul directly and they said that the store DID have the truck. The dispatcher called it "disturbing".Sean O.

This truck was the filthiest most disgusting vehicle I have ever rented. It reeked of cigarettes. There were butts along the windshield. The dash and side panels were covered in ash and sticky spills. Flies hatched in the cab on day 2. I didn't dare set my purse on the floor. The cup holders?? Omg. Sanitizing against covid or any communicable disease?? An actual Uhaul store did clean this mess up- with a mop, buckets and many rags. When I returned the truck to the store days later - the manager said it was uhaul's a fault. They service the vehicles - not store employees. Uhaul says otherwise. Either way something is not getting done. No vehicle should be offered to the paying public in this condition.MAGGIE D.
The only reason I wouldn't recommend this it is so overpriced and we are in a pandemic the cost was just crazy almost the same price as hiring movers and I had to drive 890 miles out of my way just to pick it up so there that cost toSHAWN H.

The mobile process was not clear on how to pick up the vehicle and the truck smelled awful inside. We concluded that the app was needed to find the "pick up my truck" option. By the time the app downloaded, the store was open. We picked up the vehicle 2 hours late and was charged for an extra day plus the penalty. Not too happy about that but overall the store provided a good experience and saved the day.Ron R.

Dealing with your company was the worst experience of my life. First a day before I have to move I get a text message saying that I have to drive an hour away to get my truck that I rented 10 days beforehand. So then I get onto the online chat and they say I have to call someone to figure out what's going on. So I call the regional manager and say I'm not driving an hour away to get a truck that I need for tomorrow. The regional manager said that they've been having a problem keeping trucks stopped in that size and they've known for quite a while that I would not get the size truck that I needed. So then I was upset because if this was the case I should have been contacted earlier than the day before I needed the truck. So I told him regional manager what are we going to do because I'm not driving an hour away for this truck because that is wasting my gas money and also driving up the mileage on your guys's truck which will make the price go up. So she said that she could reserve me two of the smaller trucks and gave me an address in Spokane to go pick it up. So I go to the new pickup site and I go to the front desk and say I'm here to pick up my two trucks that are reserved for today. And the people behind the desk said that my reservation was only for one truck. And then I proceeded to tell them that I talked to the regional manager and she Reserve me two trucks and I went over the story of my issue with this. So lucky for me that someone returned a bigger truck which was the one that I ordered in the beginning. But what makes me upset is that one the regional manager or the that U-Haul place knew they would not have that truck but yet wanted to wait until the day of to tell me that I had to drive over and our way to get the desire truck I needed which I reserved 10 days ahead of time. And then what made me even more upset is that I go pick up the two trucks. The reason the energy reserved for me and then they weren't there. So to be honest I should not have to pay for the truck that I rented because they caused this mess by not contacting their customers and not making the appropriate reservations when the customer contacted them to correct the issue that they caused. And then to top all of that the regional manager was super rude. This makes me not want to use your company because I'll probably have to go through the same issue again and I don't want to go through the stress of that. It's to the point that if I have to move again I will just use my vehicle and not a rental truck. And just to let you know every customer service agent I spoke to which was like at least two or three pass me off to someone else and when I asked for this information to be sent to a higher up for corporate nobody would give me the answer to that question. Because honestly I feel like your customers should not have to go through this because they already have the stress enough of trying to their belongings and should get what they paid for and if they can't get that they need to be contacted ahead of time way ahead of time and not a day before. So I should get a refund and I am going to be contacting somehow somebody to get this taken care of.Emilee T.

The truck was dirty, inside and out. Gas was on Empty. When I brought this to the person who checked us out attention he gave me a blank start and said so, there a gas station down the road. The man was arrogant and kind of of an ass. I had previously ordered a dolly and blankets and had to pick up at a different location from where I picked up the truck. Also the truck itself isn't accommodating to those with disabilities. We had a super hard time getting in and out of the truck. Would be nice to have step-up (like they have in trucks) so that it is easier for short and disabled individuals to get up in the truck.Jonelle P.
Reservation was made online. Online folks messed this deal up....Email directed us to location one hour in the wrong direction. They directed us to another wrong location. Finally we made it to fifth location where our truck was. Was told to return it 'by Saturday' to not incur late charge. Told that I might be charged for another day....Returned it Saturday...after an hour waiting to finish...I left as my friends were waiting in 100 degree heat. Was promised no 'over miles' charge by uhaul customer service due to the mixups. Alas, there is full overage charge. My friends - you have not made things right. Lastly - waited an hour and 15 minutes for a rep to talk to....no luck. Music just quit...call dropped. I'll wait for your response before I make my yelp, Google, Facebook reviews. Showed up at the â€œguaranteedâ€ 6am to pick up time/self checkout - only to be told I would have to come back at 10am when the place opened when I called UHaul after sitting on hold for 45 minutes. U-Haul Guy on phone was rude, after I told him I had moving help waiting at 7am and they would be leaving, he told me to move by myself stating that he has moved by himself and to use a furniture dolly to make up for it. I asked to speak to a manager, he said he was the manager that day. I asked to speak to his manager, he said someone would contact me within 72hrs and no one ever did. When I came back at 10, it took a half hour to check out the truck and was told to pull around back to get the blankets I rented. Then the guys out back said they didn't have any blankets, then I had to go back to the office, after which it took another half hour for them to figure out how to credit me back for the furniture blankets I paid for. All in all I was behind 5 hours just to get a truck.Daniel M.
The 10ft truck I rented was filthy on the inside! Food crumbs everywhere, the steering wheel was sticky, and I was afraid to touch anything. There was even a used, dirty face mask on the passenger floor that would have been easily noticed by staff. Also, the check engine light was on and when I went back inside to notify the staff I was told by a male staff member â€œOh, I'm sure you'll be fine. It probably just needs an oil change.â€ When I stated that I did not want to be responsible for engine concerns or repairs, a second female staff member said â€œjust take a picture of it before you go.â€ They didn't even bother to come out and check it for themselves. And finally, when I returned the truck, the same male staff member asked me to go back out and take a picture of the mileage and fuel. I guess he couldn't be bothered to go outside and check it himself.Elizabeth L.

The truck I recieved was disgusting, had food and liquid spilled all over the center console and radio. There were finger smudges all over the buttons, steering wheel, windows. The truck was not clean or sanitized at all before being given to me. The employee giving me the vehicle had no clue what he was doing, told me to figure out where the truck was & still had not responded to my concerns about a disgusting truck in the middle of a global pandemic. I've emailed more than once, left a voicemail & still have gotten no response but they sure did charge me for a cleaning fee TWICE after I provided proof that the truck was disgusting when I picked it up. I will never be going to uhaul again, and will be discouraging anyone that asks from going to the 16 cents location specifically.Loghan B.
After an hour of trying to get the rental (computers were down), Truck was on Empty- literally, the fuel light was on. The rental agreement charges a lot of money if you bring it back with less fuel; so somewhere someone was charged for fuel, but nobody ever refilled it. Both sides of the truck had damage that was not shown on the downloaded app. I tried to take a current photo to show the damage but it did not work. The rental staff came out and photographed the truck to show the prior damage before my rental commenced. She was very conscientious.Frank P.

Austin from the phone lines made me feel bad because,he Double book the track in then decided to yell at me about it when I asked if I could rent it again when I didn't need to I was confused on how long I had a for. I asked him to apologise for his rudeness and he told me that it's my opinion that I feel that way and I said apologise to me now because you have no reason to talk to me that way and he proceeded to tell me that I needed to bring the truck back! I said you guys are getting paid for the extension which is why you guys have it am I correct or not so why are you giving me grief. I even posted about it on Facebook have a good day.Keith D.

I will no longer rent from 16 cents, 3 shoes & 5socks store. The employees there were rude and very in service. The truck I rented was dirty and hadn't had previous maintenance. The truck tires were missing air and were down to 16 when I exited their store. Poor maintenance puts a burden on the customer and also puts them at risk while driving on the highway.Jennyfer M.

The cab of the truck was a bit dirty. The truck needs an alignment. I had to keep the steering wheel in a left aimed position to go straight. The lock on the truck was extremely difficult to get off and the employee trying to free the lock was very unhappy about it. That's fair. Uhaul needs to provide a new, functional lock. No staffer should have the amount of hassle that this guy did because of a non-functioning lock.Amy S.

Fire the people at 16 cents 3 shoes & 5 socks! The worst experience iv ever had Ever. I literally got told when i came to pick up a truck that they hate uhaul. And that i need to have the truck back by 4. I told her when i made the arrangements i wanted the truck till they close at 5 just in case, but the person I called in store couldn't make it till 5 but he could do it till 4 and it would be fine. She didn't care and said you paid for the truck you have it now, the other person is out of luck. I said maybe you should call them and let them know the situation. She told me she couldn't do that. So me and my wife hustled to have it back in time, because we couldn't imagine how bad that would be for the next person because these people don't care. Then when we came back to drop the truck back off i had to search the store for 15 min just to even find the sales rep again in the store. I finaly got her attention got looked at and she acted like i wasn't their. Then when the lady that aced like i didn't exist, finally came to the counter she said she couldn't help me and walked off Without saying anything more and got the other lady rep that had told me she hated uhaul. that i guess was still in the store, couldn't find her before. She told my wife and I to move over so they could help someone els that was getting a couch. I said no because we were already at the end of the counter in first place and then the lady told me the other people are customers im just uhaul. Basically that I'm not and my money is not worth her time. I cut her off because she was about to say something els and asked her to "just finish the paper work so we can leave, we just want to leave". She then gave me a rotten look and finaly proceeded to finish the paper work. Then printed it off and LITERALLY THREW THE PAPER AT ME! And said "Now you can leave." Were so pissed off never have we been treated so horrible. Me and my wife have rented uhaul more times than we can count over the years and its been great every time, but this office needs to fire these two women that were working on march 1, 2020 from 12-5 at the 1233 division store. Or just do like they also said they cant wait till they dont have to deal with uhaul anymore and give them their wish and take the franchise out of their hands. Just horrible!Chad L.

The lady was very rude. She never greeted me, and she glared at me and rolled her eyes anytime I said something to her. She kept asking me the same questions and was very rude when I answered. I told her I wasn't able to get the online part to work to check the truck back in and instead of trying to help me she originally said she couldn't help but then said it would be an extra charge. She was silent for about 5 minutes and then said your receipt will be in your email. She was also arguing and rude to the guy she was working with. I love the North location but I will never go back into the Sharp location.Mariah M.

This location has TERRIBLE customer service. I rent on average 3 uhauls a month and this is by the far the WORST place to rent a uhaul. When I went in to pick-up the truck rental the person helping me said I had to use the app to rent the uhaul. We don't use the app because it is a pain in the ass. I said I don't like to use it. His reply was "you want me to do all the work". My reply was YES as a matter of fact I do. Upon return - the truck sat in the lot for 24 hours before they checked it back in so we incurred another day rental. I called and they refused to change it. We are a business that rents uhauls a lot and THE only reason we came to this location is because the location we usually rent from did not have a truck. I would not recommend anyone to rent from this location - from start to finish the customer service was THE WORST.London H.
