The only complaint I have about my entire experience was not finding out until the afternoon prior to pick up that I would need to pick up my equipment at another location that was approximately 20 miles away. My son was flying in to drive the truck and after picking him up I was nearly unable to make it to the location prior to its closing. This was very stressful and frustrating.William B.

The lady running the store there. Was quite irritated that I showed up at 10 and ruined her smoke brake. She wasn't rude exactly, but was very frustrated that I showed up at that moment. The poor woman behind the counter started to get a lil overrun with unscheduled pick ups, I had a reservation but she was torn between trying to do her best for everybody and more people came in. She deserves a pay raise and maybe an extra hand on weekends. Just saying, she she was a trooper to hold up like that.Anthony B.

There are three return locations in a small area on this road. I accidently returned to trailer to the wrong location. There was no one there. I called the phone number on my paperwork three times and no one answered. I left two messages and no one called me back. Absolutely no customer service at the return location. I have called customer services to make sure my trailer is shown as returned, since I can't contact anyone at the return site.TERESA B.
Very disappointing experience. The first location pickup the truck was late. I was re-routed to the Stanwood location. As I was leaving the late truck showed up at original location but I was told by the employee it was too late because I had been transferred so I still had to drive North. I was also told at original location that I could not rent blankets because I had not indicated that online. I also hired moving help from your website (KC Movers) and they never showed up. I had to load heavy items alone. I will use a different truck rental company for future moves and will recommend all friends and relatives do the same.STEVEN RICHARD F.

This was not the original place i reserved the truck. It was supposed to be at a storage place in arlington, wa. That location didn't have the truck i reserved because the person who was supposed to have returned it stated they would be late. I made a reservation for noon and the lady wanted me to come back at four to get the truck. I told her that was unacceptable and that i needed that truck since i was moving from darrington, wa to bellingham, wa. So she calls uhaul and i get offered a truck in sedro woolley, wa which is no where near where i need to be. So ofcourse this would add alot of miles. The lady at the storage place did have a twenty foot truck available and i asked if i could get that for the cost of the ten foot i reserved. The uhaul rep on the phone said she could do that but then the lady at the storage place complained that she would lose revenue. So that truck went unrented and the only other one available was in stanwood, wa. So i had no choice and had to drive in the opposite direction of where i needed to go to get that truck. The lady that rented it to me was short with me letting me know everyone that was denied a discount, to include disabled vets. I am a disabled vet. Upon opening the door to the cab i noticed it was dirty. Looked like the last person used the cab to transport leaves and dirt. I made a note of that when i picked up the truck but it would only let me take one pic. Yes i was given 30 extra miles ontop of the, what i guess to be, the standard fifty. All in all i will not be renting from either location ever again. Both were rude people. One with an attitude and the other apparently money hungry and doesn't give a damn about the customer.Gustavo A.

Location is fine. Its Uhaul that is not serious at all. Cant be trusted. I will not reccomend Uhaul to anyone! How can a 800-Uhaul rep cancel your contract and balatently lie to you on the phone that all is Ok and you have CONFIRMED reservation. Uhaul owes me $85!Atle S.
Kim is a very difficult human being to deal with. She's rude. She told us to go take a picture of the gas and odometer and tried to lie and say we hadn't put enough gas back in the car and she was going to charge me $8. Luckily I had taken pictures of everything beforehand and she still tried to tell me it needed another $10 even though it was past the line. I showed her undeniable proof that we had left that truck with more gas then we'd taken it and her response was â€œI hate my job. People are liars.â€ So yeah not exactly an uplifting experience. Honestly the fact that U-Haul allows this woman to continue representing their brand is astounding. Oh and this is a convenient store first. I-Haul is a much loathed step child. If she's helping you and someone walks in she will stop your transaction to tend to them first.Holly F.

Read the other reviews. UHaul's version of the"Soup Nazi?" This was not a funny skit. When my husband was sent to check the condition of the trailer and he told her it was fine, just dirty inside ( grease and gravel like someone was hauling car engines), she flipped and said we couldn't rent it and would have to find one somewhere else. He told her it was fine, we'd clean it, and that made her even angrier. Said no, that we couldn't have it because of "procedure". So I went in, told her we had already done online check in and paid for it, and we needed to take it. I tried to tell her we would clean it, we had paid people to help load us that day, and when I reserved it the week before, there were no others available. She just kept getting angrier, and was also yelling at the UHaul representative on the phone, that it was hot and she couldn't go out and clean it because she was the only one there. Even other customers were offering to help clean it! If "procedure" was really so important, why was it not ready to go at our reservation time, since we had made it a week before? It just got worse, she threatened to call 911 (for us wanting to take a trailer we had already paid for, and offered to clean for her). I finally got ahold of Uhaul, who were very apologetic and told us they would tell her to let us take it. Eventually she came out, cleaned it, and begrudgingly let us take it. 80 minutes later we were on our way. Come on UHaul, enough is enough! You want to know what you can do to improve for the next customer? Pull her "franchise." This should not be a rental location!!Brad M.

Lady behind the counter kept talking about how sleepy she was, then would stop helping me to ring up other customers that came in after me. There was only one person to run the U-Haul counter AND the rest of the store (Deli and Gas buying) where customers were buying items. I was made to wait almost 30 minutes for service. The rep could not go out to help load, I got no paperwork, no one to check it back in at 3:00pm, and the person was VERY hard to understand what she was saying due to VERY heavy accent and broken English.Jolene T.
Upon picking up the unit we had to drive 49 miles away and only got 20 reimbursed. The lady doing paper work was rude and was running the gas station and uhaul by herself and made everyone wait a very long time. Upon checking the uhaul for gas and miles she stated one of the uhaul was broken to go find which one it was and gave me the keys to look them over. Thankfully we did not have any problems with the unit we received. I also ordered a utility dolly and it was not included so I paid for it and when I reserved the uhaul I asked for that and he quoted me a price and it says right on the dolly itself 7 she charged me 10,9 even with tax that does not come out right. When I dropped off the unit the gentleman was super nice understanding. Parking was a little crowded but he made sure we had room and made the drop off experience incredible.NICOLE C.

Stanwood WA appears to be a known issue. Either sever the contract with them or make sure the personnel are properly trained and are FRIENDLY. Door latch is missing a screw and is hard to close. The â€œDâ€ ring that allows the door to be held open is broken/missing and needs to be replaced.Eric S.

Terrible service. Had pre booked to pick up early and had put all driver information online. Person at location told us she would not turn on machine to process until 9am. She refused to let us take truck through early check out we had signed up for. We had movers waiting to begin loading. Your employee was unable to find information on driver we had listed, even though we had double-checked the night before, and it was there. Driver ended up renting truck himself and putting on his charge card because she couldn't process my order correctly. I had to pay movers extra because they had to wait for Uhaul truck to arrive, so they could load it. Very frustrating day.Beverly D.

My confirmation said that I could pick up a 20' truck at 9:30AM. The message also said that a representative would call me the evening before my pickup to confirm the arrangements, but I was not called. When I arrived, a woman named Kim told me the U-Haul services were not available until 10AM. Kim called me to the counter at 10AM and asked for my driver's license. I asked her why she would not help me at 9:30, and she said to complain to U-haul. My original reservation fee was quoted at less than $70, but Kim filled out the rental agreement and quoted $143. I was paying men to help me move and lost 45 minutes because of the delay. It took over an hour to return the truck to U-haul. Kim asked for the mileage, which I told her. There was no place on the rental folder to record the return date, time, and mileage. I told her that I had driven the truck 26 miles. She told me to add fuel to bring the fuel level to 3/8ths full. I put two gallons of fuel in the truck. Kim then went to the truck to obtain the mileage and the fuel level and said that the needle on the gauge was slightly low, but that I could go. When I received my final contract via email, a fuel charge of $14,25 for 11 gallons of fuel was added to the charges. That means that the truck would get only two miles per gallon of gas, which is ridiculous. Kim was rude and has no concept of customer service. I was patient with her, but I will never use the Stanwood U-haul facility again. I believe that I should be compensated for the late delivery and payment for movers who were kept waiting.Dennis G.

My reservation pickup was moved from Bellingham to this location with less than 24hrs notice. This resulted in a 2 hour round trip drive just to get the trailer. The attendant at the Market & Dell was rude an unhelpfulJames B.
Improve the vetting process before pickup of equipment. Had an early before store hours pick up and had to scramble to give 2 contacts that needed to be called. Be easier to deal with in normal working hours so as not to have to wake people up to speak on your behalf.Zachary B.

The lady checking me in took over 20 mins for me to get the truck and I had already pre submitted info to Uhaul. She said the internet wasnt loading pages on the computer. Eventually they loaded. I myself am a business owner and a very patient man the woman who checked me in for my reservation was the rudest most unhelpful miserable person I have met in so many years. She asked me to go get the truck and bring it around front so she could inspect it she told me to finish my phone call and she would come back when I finished my phone call and when I politely try to ask her her day was she told me she didn't need to hear any of that she just want to check me out. I wish that was the fact it took me an hour to get my reservation I had a ton of people waiting to move home for me I'm wasted an hour of their lives.l I have no idea how you can continue to use that facility for such a large company with a great reputation? Your company is grossly overpriced. You tend to sneak in charges where ever possible and even mislead your customers about the need for insurance. I have full coverage through my auto insurance and know I would not need "extra" coverage. I purchased the $5 coverage just to be extra sure and instead you charged me 29,95 for SafeMove... I never opted into that option and was not expecting to see it on my final invoice. Also, you market your box trucks as 19,95 a day... for 20 hours my invoice was 191 with 72miles traveled. 72x1,39 = $100 ok and the truck was in my possession for 1 day not 2 days so with everything said and done $150 should have been the charges... NOT $191,2 stop ripping off your customers. I'll never use your service again and will advise others to stay away as well. good day.Razvan M.
The lady Kim that helped me was rude and told me after she charged me for an extra day that it was my problem even though my rental contract was not even showing the truck was do for another 2 full days. So she charged me for an extra day returning 2 days early. The company itself has been wonderful to work with but beware of this individual who is also the owner of the gas station where I picked the truck up. She also wanted me to sign everything before I even saw the truck. Make sure you document everything before the truck Is picked up and after and DONT SIGN ANYTHING until you have seen your truck.Benjamin W.
I was given a pamphlet in a language i don't speak, by a woman i could barely understand and who had no customer service attitude. She handed me the keys and told me that was all. No idea what i needed to do or where i was supposed to get the truck. The truck had pre-existing damage and before we took it off the lot we told the person in charge and they said we signed the paper and it's not her problem (she made me sign and then gave me the keys. At this location they are doing lots of business activities (gas, concessions, mailboxes, and Uhaul). Only one person helping, which meant that every customer coming into the gas station took precedence leaving uhaul customers to wait exceededly long wait times. My reserved equipment was given to another customer as well, no replacement available? (dolly?) The lady helping (at the uhaul desk) wasn't polite, absolutely no customer service skills.
