I had made a reservation for a 15" truck, furniture dolly and 2 sets of furniture pads. I had a few emails from U Haul in the immediate days before the scheduled pick up to confirm the reservation. We got there on the day of the reservation to pick up the truck. We waited in line for 20 minutes. When we go to the front of the line the helper said my truck wasn't there. A couple trucks had broken down and another one hadn't been returned yet. The helper told us the nearest place to pick up the truck, another 20 minutes away. We had no choice but to drive there. It put us behind schedule for moving as we had scheduled helpers on our end. I understand all of that happening, and that's not under anyone's control. I just wish I would have gotten a phone call beforehand stating this, and that I should head to another U Haul place to pick up the truck in the first place. When we went to pick up the truck, the helper there said they didn't have the dolly or pads, and they directed me to another U Haul place to pick those up. We went over there and did that, then went back to the second place to get the truck, to be told that there was a dolly and pads in the back of the truck after all. We went back to the third place to to return their dolly and truck so we wouldn't have to do that at the end of the day after moving and when we are all tired. I asked if we could return the truck to the original place we rented it from as it's very close to home. I was told I could not, so when we returned the truck we had to make the 30 minute drive again to do so.Angela J.

The personnel were friendly, but the location was pretty sketchy. I also experienced an equipment failure during my trip, A fastener for the latch on the back of the trailer broke, allowing one of the doors to fly open. I lost a few items before another driver alerted me to the issue. Fortunately, I was able to find a bolt to re-attach the latch.Susan J.

Significant trailer drop off issues. Facility supposed to be open till 5:00, I arrived at 4:45, was closed. No way to validate drop off, paperwork stated $20 surcharge for phone drop off validation. Tried to use Uhaul app to validate. First verification code arrived 4:56 - site insisted I was dropping off truck and wanted photo of odometer. Tried again, second code arrived 5:03 - said I was dropping off truck, wanted photo of gas gauge. Called facility number and left voice mail that I was dropping off trailer at 5:11. Tried app again, third code arrived 5:17, wanted photo of clean trailer and drop off location. App would not upload photos. Gave up and called 800 number at 5:20, was on hold till 5:45 and got wonderful customer service agent named Marilyn who just laughed and said most of her service calls involved the app not functioning. She validated my drop off for no charge. So what can you do to improve things for the next customer? FIX THE DAMN APP!!!!Bruce H.

1. Truck I reserved wasn't available at location I rented from. Had to drive 15 mi farther to pick up truck thus resulting in 30 in overage mileage costs. 2. This delayed me by 2 hours while the original place searched for a truck. This caused me to lose my movers since they were scheduled for the heavy lifting items in that 2 hour window. I ended up doing a lot of the heavier items with my sister. I'M 62 & I hurt my back. Ended up in ER. Couldn't do anything after that. Wasted an entire day while being charged for it while desperately searching for 2 movers. 3. Found 2 guys the help off of Nextdoor, had to pay them 2x the amount just to get move done. 4. Notified Uhaul that I needed truck for 5 more hours(into Day 3 mind you) and they charged me for a full day. 4. Filled tank back to 1/4 tank since that's how I got it & got charged 25 extra dollars since it was lacking 3 gallons. I am a senior on fixed income. Will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH UHAUL.Lynn F.

My only issue is with the uhaul reservation system NOT the local dealer. Uhaul needs to get its head out of it's ass and if a dealer doesn't open until 9 am DON'T take a reservation for 830 am, You, Uhaul Corp., are placing unnecessary stress and frustration on to your dealers because you don't have the proper software, or simply don't care to utilize it, to take a reservation for when the local dealer opens. Guess I'll try your competitor next time.TODD D.

There was a drink bottle and wrapper in the cab. After I brought the truck home, I realized that there was a padlock on the back door, so I could not open it. I brought the truck back and they cut off the lock. I asked for a discount because I did not want to have to pay extra 10 miles to bring the truck back. I also asked why the vehicle was not inspected. He said that when people do after-hours returns, they do not inspect them. When I received my bill, it was only discounted $11, which barely covered the extra mileage and completely disregarded the 45 minutes I wasted bringing the truck back..JUSTIN W.

The location changed from booking. That triggered more Mike's. The individual that I got the vehicle from was friendly and polite. The u- haul system is the hiccupCindy S.
The employees were great and courteous. Location was too far and buried in industrial area with no parking. After paying for truck I asked to leave it til next day due to lack of an extra driver. When I returned next morning the truck I rented was stolen off their parking area. The employees were able to get me a different but slightly smaller truck having me make 2 trips instead of 1 but I was thankful that they were able to help.Maria M.

The mobile pick up was not user friendly, I had never used that before and it took us an hour to get the go through necessary steps for approval. along with that, it was a weird building with not much signage - didn't feel comfortable as a female getting the truck. ALong with that, I reserved a furniture dolly and they didn't have any left. We got charged for it still as they told us to use a different dolly but it was useless to usLindsay J.

Everything was good. The truck ran good. The only thing was I reserved a smaller and lower cost truck two weeks in advance and when I arrived to pick it up there were no trucks available in size and price that I RESERVEDTHOMAS W.
I planned on dropping off the trailer after hours on a Sunday, so I was not expecting "help" or an overly organized drop-off procedure, however the "location" was basically non-existent. I found the address given to me by U-Haul, but the U-Haul signage was obscured and not easy to find. There is no obvious parking area so trucks and trailers are merely parked on side-streets and an alley, so I parallel parked the trailer in front of another U-Haul truck. There were no keys to drop off, so I snapped a few photos as evidence that the trailer was dropped off and drove away hoping for the best. (?)Stacy L.
They were very kind. The truck was a bit away to pick up and wasn't very clean (dirt/sand in the floor). I didn't think with all we had going on to get pictures at pick up and then paid the $25 cleaning fee on the backend. I will be super careful if I have to rent a truck again.Amanda H.

Worst customer experience I have ever had to deal with. I had a reservation scheduled for pick up on May 13, 2021. Upon arrival at the store and after paying $500 for my trailer rental I was notified that the trailer wasn't on the lot and was stolen and that there was nothing anyone could do about it. This pushed my move back 2 days and made for an all around bad experience. I'm talking to customer service I was offered no help or form of refund. I move often but I will never use Uhaul services again.CHRISTIAN H.

The only available trailer was 40 minutes away, to the many locations near where I needed the trailer. Understandable but frustrating. When I got there, they didn't have the prepaid receiver that I purchased online. Had to go to a different U-Haul location to get the receiver and return to retrieve the trailer. The representative was very nice and apologetic, but very unheartening. Would have preferred a larger U-Hual location then a mechanic's shop that rents U-Hauls on the side.JASON D.
Dropped off a trailer at 3 PM on a Tuesday and the office was locked. I called the phone number listed and only got a recorded message that did not even identify the number as a U-haul location. I ended up leaving a message and the trailer with the hope someone would complete the paperwork. I did get an emailed receipt, so I assume it was taken care of. At a minimum this location needs someone to answer the phone from 8-5 Monday-Friday.James G.

We requested dollys and furniture pads that were not received and was frustrating to move without them when we thought we would have those tools. I called that day to make sure we weren't charged for them and we were charged anyway.Rose W.

Appointment was setup online for 8am but the location didn't open until 9am so we had to wait an hour to get the trailer we rented. Open times need to be in sync between the website and the location. Other than this issue, everything else went great.Jeff S.
