Experience was very positive and the people with whom I dealt were very professional, especially the team at drop off location in Florida. The equipment ran well and managed the 6000 mile trip from Anchorage to SoCal to Orlando with out incident or worry. The engine was strong and ran very well. It only required a single quart of oil during the entire trip. If a travel team expects to drive at length (as we did 6000 miles over 16 days), I would recommend considering the size of the passengers. I was fortunate to have smaller passengers so the endured. But, if passengers are larger the middle seat has little to no leg room and must encroach upon driver or passenger space. Also, I had to purchase additional cushions for the passenger in the middle seat to allow her to ride with reasonable comfort. Mind you, we drove 6000 miles in 16 days despite regular stops at 2 to 3 hour intervals, the comfort of the middle seat passenger was challenged. However, I do not know of a competitor with a better cab for three passengers. The only mechanical issue I ran into was with the side view mirrors. The lock screws became very loose while driving causing the mirrors to flap in the wind making safe driving difficult. I had to stop early in the trip and purchase a specialized star-head screwdriver set to keep the set screws tight enough to hold the mirrors in place to assure safety during lane changes and while reversing. This issue was reported to the representatives at the drop off location. Suggest that U-Haul provide clients with a tool set to accommodate repair during travel. I would also recommend that U-Haul look to purchase trucks with cabs that have electrical windows controllable by the driver to improve cab comfort and air freshness while driving. The hand crank windows are reliable but extremely inconvenient.

I was charged for pads even though they weren't provided. Truck was dirty. Initially I was scheduled with confirmation for pick up from a location then after staying on the line trying to figure out what's wrong since I was unable to proceed online I was told that location did not provide mobile check in. Then I was offered to go to another location already later and it involved paying more for mileage and gas. The truck there was dirty and didn't have furniture pads I needed and reserved. I still received invoice charging me for pads.

Pick up and drop off was very easy compared to other rentals I have done over the years. Vendor rep despite working on location change tended to truck rental business without a hitch. I will for sure use this service when doing or helping to move myself or other family members.

Encourage them to pre-fill out their information on the website if they are choosing the mobile check-in. Having a passport handy or even having 2 people who can instantly verify who I am is pretty unlikely. Regardless, this is a great product and UHaul has GREAT people!!

Trying to get the rental was a struggle and a half, was trying to do it through the website but was having a lot of issues with it verifying my location (even though it was on) made things that more stressful.

I originally set up an after hours pick up at the Boundary location off Boniface to use the mobile pick up option but when I got there, I could not access my vehicle because it would not let me start the pick up process. I called customer service and they said that mobile pick up was not offered for this location - which was not disclosed anywhere on the website. She sent me to a new location and altered my existing reservation and when we located the vehicle and found the lock box for the key, there was no key in the box at all. I called customer service again and they gave us the code to a different lock box so we could take a different vehicle. In terms of my recommendations: - I would suggest making it very clear on the website when a customer cannot use mobile pick up after hours at a specific location and/or simply not allow a person to make a reservation that is after hours if that option will not be available. - Figure out what the issue was with the missing key - Possibly update your application - it froze on me at least 5 different times and I had to restart my check in/return process.

Was a random parking place with no store front to deliver vehicle to. Had to figure out where to park, had to figure out how to use the Uhaul webpage for check-in (which had several poorly designed pages) and could only find a metal box to deliver keys to. Definitely a negative experience after a very stressful move.
