Yang F.I'm new to Nanaimo and at first went the wrong direction. I arrived at 10:20am to the right location, the worker began by giving me grief for being 20min. late. He was incredibly patronizing to me throughout the entire experience. Talking down to me and asking me far too many personal questions. Even felt the need to question why I was smiling in my drivers license photos? And why I wasn't using a friends truck to move? He was accusing me that I wouldn't return the truck and would take off with it. I believe because my cousin and I were young females he was comfortable treating us in such a manner. I guarantee if we had had a male figure with us it would have been very different. He never did an inspection before or after my renting. Later I see I'm billed for damages the first page reads paint chips and later a small dent. The only furniture I hauled was a small TV stand, the rest was boxes and a shop I did at Superstore. I made 2 trips and didn't touch anything with the truck. He is dinging me with past damages on what he hopes is a naive girl. Of course I am disputing the ridiculous claim. I have rented plenty of vehicles over the years and have never had such a absurd experience. Will never return to this location again.
PAIGE T.I came in to book a U-Haul less than a week in advance. The size I wanted was not available initially, but Frank quickly tracked one down and got the reservation confirmed the same day. You can tell he's a busy man, but he took time to make the experience as smooth as possible.

Customer oriented manager very helpful about where to park car while rental was out. He also clearly explained at check-out how to check-in and where to put the key in the event he wasn't there. Good central Nanaimo location.
Kent B.Make sure that the wiper blades are in good order. I drove from Nanaimo BC to Sherwood Park Alberta and the second day of driving was very rainy. Whereupon I discovered the wiper blades were frankly very poor. Otherwise I was perfectly satisfied.

Haley T.How about something a little newer? Beat up piece of junk with no AC and no Kph markings on the speedometer. Also a hole in the muffler made the truck very loud and caused me a lot of embarrassment. Didn't feel safe to drive. Not impressed with how poorly you maintain your trucks.

I have used uhaul several times over the years and will not be using them again. Or at least not this one. I will be going elsewhere.
