Firstly, we were confused about where to go as U-Haul only lists this company's address, and not an actual name of the business (Georgia Furniture Mart - and the business itself has two buildings side by side). We entered and found a couple of helpful associates who told us who we needed to speak to. We found him and tried to start our check in, but he told us to do it online (when I had specifically wanted to do it with an associate for better peace of mind). So we tried doing it online and it wasn't working, there was no info about how to get the key or check that everything was right. We came back inside, and the last guy we talked to was gone again. We talked to a couple other associates, who said I had to do it on the app. I downloaded the app and it still didn't work. Finally, one of those associates helped us out by checking us in and handing us the keys. Unfortunately, all of the add ons I'd selected when making the reservation were no longer there, so I had to decide all over again. By this point, it was raining really hard.... The associate who did check us in was really friendly and knowledgeable, and we greatly appreciate his help, but if that one person who was supposed to check us in actually did his job instead of just telling us to do it ourselves and then go hide in the back until we left, we would have been done with this check in before getting soaked in rain. When we returned the U-Haul, I again wanted to check out in person just to ensure all was well and to ask a question about estimated vs actual mileage. That one guy was there and told us yet again to do it online. The helpful guy brushed past him and helped check us out and answered my question. Overall, they had the correct U-Haul waiting for us and the equipment worked properly, but the Georgia Furniture Mart/6700 Dawson Blvd location for U-Haul rentals was a hassle, at least for us. They've got great furniture sales though, and we greatly appreciate the associates who did assist us with our rental!

But I made my reservation online at a totally different place, that then got moved without my consent to a 2nd place, and when I arrived they did not have my truck (which they knew for the previous 6 hours yet never told me or contacted me) so moved me to this 3rd place. So the total experience can be heavily improved by communicating with customers better. Also the truck said "4 miles until empty" which is WAY too low to ever give a customer. They could have put in 2 or 3 gallons of gas so I didn't start the drive in a desperate situation.

Albernita LOur appointment was for 9:30 am. 6700 Dawson Boulevard LLC did not open until 11:00 am. The manager at U-Haul Moving & Storage at Jimmy Carter was no help. One of our items got soaked from rain. The truck must have had a leak in the sides or roof. We are very unhappy with the service, and we will NOT rent from U-Haul again. We will be sending the corporate office a letter of complaint with a strong request for compensation. We will go as far as to report to the Better Business Bureau if we need to.
