Real ghetto and right next to a homeless bonfire
Aidan BarnovskyThis U-Haul location needs to be completely moved or closed. I only chose this location because the other locations did not have the size truck that I needed. When we pulled up, we saw about 20 people around a bonfire yelling and partying at 8:30AM, we locked our doors. After witnessing several drug deals and telling the prostitute that we weren't interested we finally get "checked in". We find out that we have to get the truck keys from a shack next to the gas station/U-Haul pick up spot and its right next to the crowd that has clearly been awake for days. After being yelled at and cat called, we finally made it back to the truck. It was already unlocked, filthy (I took pics), and had jello shots (opened and jello was everywhere on the floor). Never again.

robert griffithThe truck I rented looked clean but it smelled bad, the steering wheel and door handles had a tacky feel. The seat was hard to adjust and the truck sounded like the engine was being revved but it had no power.

Thomas MaleyThe drop-off location is sketchy and unsafe. I would never drop off there again. Drugs were being dealt across the street while I was conducting my return. It looked as if this was a regular event in that area. If I were UHaul, I would close this location, and I should do more research on where I drop off the rental. I had four Ubers refuse to pick me up in this area, and ended up walking 2 miles to a safe area for Uber to pick me up.
Patrick ConnellyGive me back my $10 I was told would be refunded for the dolly I didn't get. Get rid of the drug dealers and drug seekers outside of the shack and fix the flickering light on the outside of the store!
Nichole MorganThe truck parking location was in the opposite side of the building and parking lot from the actual uhaul building. Wasn't a very good neighborhood, not clean, and overall not a place I'd want to spend more time than I had to in. Would not feel safe to drop off during the night.
Robert LyonsI've used U-Haul many times. Not ONCE did I ever have my pickup relocated to a section of town where pimps , prostitution and drug deals are made. I went to a literal shack to pick up the equipment, there was NO power, and permeated with the smell of rotting flesh. Literally. The stench was cruel. On top of that, the fact that my reservation was transferred caused problems because I didn't know from there on - I was to use the app to pick up the truck from a "U-Haul kiosk" that had nothing but a sign and 5 lock boxes. Is making money more important than customer service, a safe location, not to mention your branding?! Cmon U-Haul. Provide SAFER locations!!
Frank CheslockMy drop off time was 2pm because they weren't supposed to close until 4:30pm but when I arrived the door was locked and I had to drop my key in a box. Then I was charged a cleaning fee for a little bit of sand from getting in and out the truck as well as a late fee for dropping the key in the box. Luckily I called the 800 U-Haul number and was refunded since I did drop it off on time and was told the little bit of sand didn't warrant a cleaning fee.
Amanda OrdoquiThe office was on the other side of the field where you dropped off the vehicle BUT you had to scan at the office before you could take photos of the vehicle for return. I had to run back and forth to scan a barcode and then take photos of the equipment. The place in town where this location was at felt unsafe. I was there within office hours but no one was there in the office. Very unprofessional to have no one there during office hours and very inconvenient to be running back and forth to scan a barcode and then go take photos and then come all the way back to drop off the keys.

jacqueline frymarkI rented a 26' truck, it took us more than one hour (with my babies in the car) to get hold of someone to give us the code for the keys. I had to pay the movers for that hour because they were going to drive the truck for me. Then when we picked up the truck, it had none of the all equipment and blankets I ordered. I had to borrow equipment from the movers and friends which delayed us even more… I would definitely not recommend this location.
Samira Ben Daly ZAKIGreat place to pick up or drop off a U-Haul rental. They have a nice large field and it was simple to park one of the 26' trucks there. The local people were absolutely wonderful and I hope to see them again in the future. The U-Haul truck I rented was fairly new and it was fun to drive. I really enjoyed my trip even though I had to load and unload tons of stuff literally.

AMJAD BARGHOUTHII called this location multiple times and no one answered. I left my garage opener and called last 2 days to get it back and no one answers I even left a voice mail

Mark LewakowskiThis location was in an unsafe part of town. They tried charging additional fees for cleaning and fuel despite the fact that the truck had been cleaned out, blankets folded and refueled with more fuel than was initially provided. Buyer beware do not do business with this location. Also beware as I originally selected a different location as I did not want to pick up a truck in an area with high crime but Uhaul changed the pickup at the last minute without my consent.

Nancy DowningEverything was great until I saw the final bill. I returned the truck in excellent condition, but was charged $25,23 on the back end for a "cleaning fee". There was NOTHING anyone would have had to "clean" on/in the truck after I returned it. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Tammy FontenotHours are not standard, the contract is not what I signed up for on line, I was charged for an extra day, and when I challenged the billing, no one from U-Haul even bothered to respond to me. I will never rent from this place again.
Bruce WhittenI would only recommend this location because they rented us the tow dolly when a different location refused to rent one to us saying the tow car and the towed vehicle combination was unsafe. Towing capacity of our tow car was 5000 pounds and I know the weight of the car being towed was 3200-3300 pounds. When we arrived at this location the office was locked up and the owner could not be reached using the posted number on the front door. Thankfully the grocery next door knew how to contact the person running the U-Haul operation.
James Freyderwe dropped the trailer back off as the contract said and now they are saying we didn't turn it in and took a ton of money from us. They are taking peoples money do NOT rent from this location .
Madisyn AllenNobody was present at the pickup time and was 30 minutes late (did not receive equipment until 12:30), when they arrived, one man smelt of urine and was dressed in a dirty t-shirt, shorts and slippers, while the woman was fairly nice, once the man 'Asisted' us in hooking up the trailer, we got it around the corner before we noticed it was too loose, and found that the chains were dragging on the concrete, and the hitch was barely fastened, when we returned 45 minutes later to return the trailer, they were gone again
Cody HewettI could not do a self check-in on the U-Haul app. The place closed early and had a phone number on a piece of paper taped to the door. I contacted the person to let them know I wanted to do a self check-in on the U-Haul app. She said to place the key in the key box and complete the self return. I had to call back because the app asked for a picture of the fuel gauge and mileage, which I couldn't do because I already locked the truck and returned the key. I was told she would complete my return the next day and I would not be charged the service fee. Well, I was charged the service fee of $20 plus tax. Tried to communicate to U-Haul through their web link with no phone number. After 2 weeks, still no response from U-Haul about my service fee refund or any explanation.
David HerardI dropped off a one way trailer here at lunch time on a Saturday. I went into 6B Thrifty Foods and they said they have NOTHING to do with this uhaul location. They directed us to a field behind the store. I called the # and some individual said to leave the trailer in the field and we were good. The next day I received a receipt for a $20 after hour fee when their hours clearly state on Uhaul that they are open 9-5 on Saturdays. I called Uhaul directly and they issued a refund. I would avoid this location!

darren fairclothI made a mistake when checking back in the truck I locked the key inside. That was after I did check everything back in and gassed it. I got charged for the extra time it took for the manager to open the truck late hours; and got charged for the locksmith. Only if the office had a secondary key to unlock the truck. I felt ripped off and no customer service. I wont go this office again. I am second thinking about using U-haul because the experience was so poor. I used uhaul for years and was my go to company!! Never used another company before.

Troy GregoryThe initial pickup location was 352 W James Lee Blvd Crestview, FL 32536. But due to poor service the truck wasn't ready at the scheduled pick up time of 10 am. The pick up was supposed to be a mobile pick up but apparently this location did not care enough to have it ready in time. That's when I had to get in touch with a representative who was efficient enough to modify the reservation and reserve another truck at a nearby location. All of this wasted an hour and a half's worth of time!

I don't know what's happening across the street from here, but rheres cars, people, selling, doing drugs, I don't know but the location of this place is not good. People are not gonna rent from here because of it.

Michael LindhorstVery rude! Cancelled our reservation, claiming we answered and said don't call again. Must have called wrong number. Double charged us, basically said wasn't their problem had to get U-Haul involved.
