The main woman at the downers grove location is really nice. Ask all good questions if I need a dolly and was the best move.

Byung Wook LeeEquipment and location were great. The U-Haul 24/7 app process was not great. If you have an out-of-state license you need to submit additional information to rent the truck. This is not mentioned on the online guides or YouTube videos. It took an extra 30 minutes to gather and review the additional identification required. Next time, it'd be nice if U-Haul gave us a heads up that this additional info is required for out-of-state renters. Thanks

MIKE CULLOTTAThe "online pickup" feature using a mobile device is either completely broken or is so poorly implemented that it might as well be completely broken. Add perpetually late employees on top of it - according to non-uhaul employees in the shared office space - and it's a recipe for disaster. I was 1 hour and 20 minutes late getting my uhaul because of both. To anyone in need of a moving truck, look elsewhere.

John ZemanWas told to go to another place and when I got to that place I was told I had to go to yet another place to return my truck. This final place had no customer service on site and overall it was a frustrating experience. Ended up being charged for additional mileage because I had to go to several other places other than the one listed on my contract. Will never use U-Haul again if it can be helped

JUAN TREJO RODRIGUEZThe truck was returned with more gas than when we received it. Yet, we were charged over $60 to refill it. I have reached out to the owner and she is willing to check into it today, but it will come down to my word and she is the owner. I have to either bring gas over to her or accept the $60 fuel charge. You have taken what was an extremely positive experience and made it just a typical way to get more money from someone.

Also helps that it was obviously a well-maintained vehicle as it rode beautifully on the highway. Thank you for the A+ customer service. Highly recommend this easily accessible location.

Joe KrauseLockbox was frozen and had to drive to a second location, it was 20 degrees out and I was asked to shake it and I might've hurt my back doing so, not counting I almost got froze Vite on my fingers. Second location had the wrong key in the lockbox but was given a second code over the phone. I was on a very tight schedule and have to pay my employees overtime because it took me over an hour to get a truck when the service is supposed to be guaranteed. Overall a bad, dangerous and upsetting experience

JUAN CAJIGASIf i could give negative stars, I would. I was told the truck I ordered wasn't available despite the truck sitting sitting in the parking lot at Fire Towing in Downers Grove, Illinois. Guy behind the window told me it was never checked in so therefore he couldn't check it out to me - cool, not really my problem but i didnt have time to argue I was closing on a new home. Pure incompetence though. Ended up being 45 mins late to my closing. After the closing I went to the other location that they said had the same size truck, thought the day was looking up lol. Load N Go Movers LLC, the movers that I ordered through uhaul , were not on time. I called, he said they were running late. Two hours later, no movers. I call, text, call some more - nothing. Voicemail was full too. All that could go wrong, went wrong. Felt like I was back on active duty PCS'ing with DLA - only difference is that DLA eventually came through and moved me.
James LynchPeople working there were not helpful. Texted me after 11pm one night. Promised to send me tutorials, which they didn't do. When I asked for help with things, the people there would give vague answers. It's rude, and they are lazy for not wanting to help customers, and just telling the customers to do everything themselves, and not explaining anything. The website that they kept telling me to use would not work, and they kept telling me to just use the website properly. I've moved several times, and know basic uses on websites and how to navigate them (as well as being a programmer for many years.) I'm not "doing something wrong" when the website does not load anything properly. I had to wait a long time to get the keys due to the staff not wanting to do anything to help get anything into the system. The people at this place are awful. The outside of the building is so decrepit, it looked abandoned. I didn't even feel safe being there. Don't go to this place. Find ANYwhere else.

Kathereen EllisThe truck was satisfactory but I believe I was charged an additional 20 dollars over what I should be charged because you're Uhaul app and the site designed to enable check-in and check-out did not work properly. At both check-in and at check-out the software froze up midway through the process and zipped me to the end of the session locking me out from uploading pictures and info intended to secure the condition of the truck at check-in and check-out. So, Katherine had to finish my check-in the morning after I returned the truck. The app hadn't recognized that I had returned the truck even though it did provide me with the code to return the keys. I would recommend y'all to a friend with a caveot that the app and website might not work for self check-in and check-out. All your personnel were very pleasant.

Thomas ElapumkalThe location was absolutely fine. What was not, was my set up in order to rent the truck. I had to sit for 30 minutes on hold until I could get a hold of someone in customer service. I arrived earlier, but it was still cutting into my rental time. I needed to get in contact with someone because my set up wasn't completed correctly on the U-Haul side. The woman I spoke with mentioned it was something as simple as clicking a button. I will never be using a remote location again because I do not trust set up will be completed and given demand, there could be a long hold line. I wouldn't be opposed to switching to a home depot or lowes as they have more locations.

Joe VossThey were closed when we got there at the reservation pick up time, 10 am. They just handed our driver the keys with no paperwork. They were closed at 3:30 in the afternoon when we dropped it off. There was no way to drop the van off without a contract number, I spend 45 minutes on the phone trying to drop it off. Terrible experience
