The owner refused to rent the truck to me as I had an out of state license, although I had clearly made the reservation days before. I further believe it was discriminatory because I am a woman. Luckily my son, who we were moving, had a license from Texas so we were able to pick the truck up. I am furious at how I was treated and find it ridiculous that an UHaul location would not want to rent a truck to someone with a license out of state. Isn't the point of UHaul that someone is MOVING?boston H.

The manager / owner who is a Middle Aged Caucasian man was extremely rude. He made me wonder if I was walking into a DPS office by asking how long I had kept the Washington driver license while living in Texas. I politely asked him if he was going to allow me to rent or not. He is extremely rude and disrespectful. He is required to ask for. Government issues ID and should not be concerned about my stay in Texas even though I am a repeat customer. These are the kind of people who give UHaul a bad reputation I was also late returning the truck due to unavoidable circumstances and he charges me for 2 days instead of just the extra 2 hours? That is totally unacceptable. That is not how you do business. The front office smells like a tobacco plantation even with my mask on.LINDA AKINYI O.
Guy running this place is a condescending pr!ck. Didn't need to be that way and started from the moment I walked in. If I didn't have my daughter waiting on me to help her college move, I would have walked out. I'll drive a little farther for better service next time.John C.

The attendant was courteous, prompt, and informative. I appreciate the courtesy call he made to remind me of my appointment. I was able to pick up the truck in a timely manner and kept me informed of my responsibility during my rental period.RICO D.

The man running the shop was very rude and unpleasant to work with. Also I rented a U-haul reservation for 8 hours as that was how long I needed to move all of my things but then when I showed up to pick up the truck they told me that I could only have it for 4 hours or else they were going to charge me for another day. This completely ruined my moving experience as I then had to return the truck halfway through the moving process and had to take the rest of my items in the back of my car over several trips instead of just one more trip in the truck as I had planned. If I'm paying by the day and mile for the truck and reserved it over a week in advance I shouldn't be told the day of that my reservation can't be accommodated. If I was moving any farther away than I was I would have had to just cancel my reservation as I would not have had time to load the truck, travel to my next location, unload the truck, and bring it back in the short 4 hour time frame.Samantha G.

The representative was rude and unnecessarily confrontational. Really, really poor customer service. In fact, it was customer disservice. He could have been completely disengaged and the experience would have been much better.George M.
They were rude. They charge me for a full day even though I only got the U-Haul for five hours. They were mad because they asked to bring it back within four hours which is unheard of but then when I couldn't they got mad on the phone. Just the worst experience with U-Haul I've ever hadSAM S.

Truck odometer was broken. Owner tried to charge me for 220 miles when only drove 25 miles. Luckily it was resolved. I'll never go back to that location. Dude seemed prejudice and I didn't like the vibe he was giving. I almost punched him in the face.carol D.

The guy at the counter ( I think his name was George) literally harassed me and made me go through so much trouble. I booked the truck a day before and the moment I went there for pick up, he said that he didn't have any truck and then After sometime he said that he had one, but it's mechanically down. I had to request him over and again. And then he started calling several places for a truck, which didn't work. After some time he gave me the same truck, which was mechanically down five minutes ago ( He lied at first). He also caused trouble with my license. I had moved to Texas from Washington DC one and a half month before. According to TxDPS, an outsider can drive with his old license no more than 90 days. He made a rule right there in his counter trying to teach me that it works for 30 days, for which he couldn't show any legal documentation. Lastly, I had booked the truck for six hours from the website. He didn't let me have it for more than four hours. I kept requesting that I really needed it as it wouldn't be possible for me to move everything in four hours. But he just didn't care. I was afraid that he might not give the truck to me at all if I kept requesting and so I just had to stop and take it for four hours. I would request Uhaul to look into the matter. Customers come here out of their necessities and they should be helped not TROUBLED.Abid Shahriar Ra S.

The staff was accommodating and helpful in having my truck ready to go and we completed a walk-around inspection. The fuel was 1/2 full and noted as such. Entry to the facility was a little difficult to find due to the small and shallow parking lot.bill S.

The man was rude as hell and treated me and my sister like total idiots. He was â€œclosedâ€ before 3pm and online it said they close at 6. As we struggled to back out of the parking lot to leave (with the big ass trailer and my car on the back) he storms outside and tells us to get out the truck so he could pull it in. His whole energy was uninviting and he was so rude. Never again will I drop off a uhaul at this location.Brianna D.

As soon as I arrived to the facility the guy who attended to me saw the size of the truck and a car carrier and started flinging his arms as if he did not want the truck to be dropped off to his location since it was work for him. Once I parked the truck in the only space that was available he was upset about that as well as if he wanted me to park the truck somewhere out on the street which does not have parking and is a two way street. After getting out of the truck he told me that I needed to unlock and disconnect the carrier after I clearly told him that I was told by Uhaul that I would be assisted and that I can drive the car down the carrier once safe to do so. However he was extremely nasty and his attitude was beyond belief, I stayed calm and kept saying please in order for him to help. After having to move everything in a 2-day period and then driving 6 hours to get to my location and then having to deal with this gentleman was unacceptable. I strongly recommend U-Haul diverts their business from this guy and make customer service a top priority.waqas S.

I originally went to the Uhaul location at 10621 S. Main st, Houston for pick up at 9 AM. When I arrived there was a line in the store of at least 15 people and no employee to help. There was 1 employee on site and he was outside running a forklift helping customers with a pod pick-up. RIDICULOUS for a large uhaul location to only have 1 employee! I used my phone to cancel the reservation and find another location. I left at 9:35 and the employee still had not helped one person in the line inside. Completely unacceptable when a business has the capability thru reservations to know how many people are expected to arrive for pick up at 9 am! I will NEVER rent at that location again. What is the purpose of â€œExpress check inâ€ if you have to wait in a long line to not be served?Denise C.

For our pickup, We were sent to three different locations before this final location. When we got there, we were told they did not have the receiver ball we had ordered online with the trailer. There was a uhaul location a few miles away that had a receiver ball but did not have the trailer we needed. So we told the clerk we were going to the other location to get the ball then returning to get the trailer. When we returned at 330 he had closed for the day. We had to bang on the door and he came and unlocked it and told us he thought we were not coming back. Then he was rude during the paperwork process telling me that we were technically late for the appointment. Overall terrible experience.Wesley E.

This was not my original drop off location. My original drop off location was 7901 S Main St, Houston, basically a gas station where the attendant refused to accept the truck. I had to spend 45 minutes on a call with uhaul where they directed me to another location while the guy at the gas station kept telling me to move the truck because he was selling parking for a nearby event and didn't want to uphold the uhaul contract. The customer service staff heard all of this happening as I spoke with them. On top of all this I was charged for extra miles even though I had to drive to a new location. The woman on the phone at uhaul said she would file a complaint with the regional manager and they would follow up with us but we've heard nothing. You can imagine after a long couple days of moving to just want to be finished and then have to argue with a guy that just cares about making 15 bucks on a parking space. Based on our experience I would not only not recommend the location, I wouldn't recommend uhaul, and definitely will be looking elsewhere in the future.Joshua P.

Before renting the truck I was told by Zack that I could return the truck to any U-haul location. I attempted to do that on the same day the truck was rented approx. 3:50 p.m., but the new location on Veterans Memorial would not accept the truck, so therefore, I had to drive another 30 miles back to the original pick-up location, and because they were already closed, I was charged another day plus additional mileage. I tried calling corporate on the day of the return but it was after office hours. I left a message.STEPHANIE W.
I rented a 5x8 trailer. The safety chains could not be hooked because the hooks were too narrow to fit through the eyelets of my factory Installed receiver. The parking space was too tight to maneuver. The trailer was totally unbalanced and very difficult to back in reverse. I am not a novice in hauling trailers as I have done it several times in the past over long distances and with a big 24' sailboat trailer. I did an online pre rental check in and still took a full half hour to check in.Anastassios K.
