$250 for a uhaul for 48 house? I'm confused on the math $29 a day? only drove 60 miles.
We wish to express our extreme dissatisfaction with our most recent rental of a truck and trailer to move from Sacramento to Los Angeles. And as such we believe we deserve a refund on the cost of said rental for the following reasons. It started with our frustration with the reservation over the phone when the Call center representative could not tell us in advance where we would be picking up the truck and trailer and went downhill from there. When I finally received the text messages the day before when I was first informed that the truck and trailer were located at two different facilities in the opposite direction of the loading location (my home). When I learned this inconvenience I spoke with customer service and was told the truck and trailer could not be moved to the same location. Furthermore, when I made my reservation, about a month in advance, I was clear on the pick up time and arranged for movers accordingly. When I received the text messages at 8:26am the day before they were set for a pick up time three hours past my scheduled time. The distance between the two pick up locations resulted in an unexpected two hour pick up round trip. When I called to complain about the two different locations the call center representative told me that he would “do me a favor” and give me 60 extra miles for my inconvenience. Not only would this be a minimum expectation considering your company required me to drive over 60 miles round trip to pick up the truck and trailer but I also incurred additional costs to pay the moving company to wait for my delayed arrival. It also doesn’t reimburse me for the extra gas. Our next dissatisfaction was our interaction with the manager at the combination smog center and U-Haul truck center located at 3985 DOUGLAS BL in ROSEVILLE. First the manager did not seem to know what he was doing to process our pickup. He was unaware the insurance was included in our rental and expected us to make that determination. He provided no explanation about the types of insurance available. He did not know if we needed to sign additional paperwork to cover a second driver and made no attempt to figure it out. Upon being handed the keys to the truck we discovered the truck it had not been cleaned from previous user, both inside and out. The mirrors were covered with dusty film that one could not clearly see through, the window had a two foot crack in the drivers sight line, the windshield wipers were extremely old and inefficient and unable to clean the window. Obviously the manager and staff did no visual inspection of he truck prior to telling us it was sitting out front. We were provided no instructions on how to operate the truck, and finally after we got on the road we learned the back door was not properly secured by the staff and by the time we got to the trailer location we don’t know what was lost from the back of the truck. I asked for a specific location but I was not given a choice. I was told this location was where I was to pick up the truck. Pretty grungy area. I didn't feel particularly safe. Gentleman inside was polite and helpful. HOWEVER the location was out of my way,The truck was clean but the truck had a low tire which I was going to have to take care of before I drove far because I didn't know how low the tire was or how the truck would handle. Fortunately less than a mile away was a regular U Haul location (why wasn't I sent there to begin with) that I drove to and they filled the tire for me. This all took extra time. Not very happy.

Hardip Singh at the store went out of his way to fix all the screwups by U-Haul reservations; definitely rates 5 stars. Had to go to another location to get the moving blankets reserved. U-Haul reservations on the other hand was absolutely abysmal! Changed the location 3 times the night before, and switched us from a 15' to 26' truck at our expense which we didn't need or want. WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN.

THE WORST LOCATION EVER TO DROP OFF THE LOCATION WAS GROSS THERE WAS DRUGS ALL OVER THE GROUND AS WELL AS TWEAKERS EVERYWHERE . THE GUY WASNT HELPFUL AT ALL

First give more training--the person "helping me" hardly knew how to use a computer, or U-Haul's program. It took him a LONG time to figure things out. His attempt to help back the SUV. up to the trailer was a joke, and he didn't know how to hook the trailer to the ball. So glad my son knew. Second, when we went to return the trailer there was no one there to check it in and give me a receipt. That was very upsetting! They wouldn't be back for two hours! I will NEVER go back to that location! They are LESS than POOR rating! The trucks they had for rent were dirty! They are giving U-Haul a VERY BAD name!

Not be in a liquor store. Have someone working the counter know what they are talking about. Be on time with an appointment.

Have a process in place when a customer drops off a uhaul so that they don't feel like they're not being protected.
