We picked up on Sunday and dropped off on Monday. They are not open those two days. You r expected to use the app which did not work properly. We spent an hour picking it up because we needed to call 1800uhaul and do it over the phone and thru email. A nightmare. The people were kind and did try to help us as best they could but if you r renting don't do it on a Sunday or Monday

I requested a different drop off location and the location was changed with the help of the "central/regional office". The drop off was seem less and easy.

The location staff were friendly however....the truck did not have the right dolly on it and I had scheduled a pickup before business hours using the app. YOUR APP IS HORRIBLE. THE WORST EXPERIENCE RENTING A TRUCK EVER. AND I HAVE RENTED MANY MANY TIMES. IT TOOK AN HOUR FOR ME TO GET THROUGH THE APP PROCESS AND I HAD TO TALK TO YOU CUSTOMER SERVICE. HORRIBLE APP!!!! GENTLEMAN ON THE PHONE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AMAZING BUT HE SAID MANY PEOPLE HAVE ISSUES WITH THE APP. I WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN!

No need to improve. Everything was done to assist in renting the truck. The service was great. The truck was very helpful. The truck was ready at the pickup time. It was a good day, with no hustle, bustle, or hassle.

The gas thank was not full as stated on the checkout document, and as soon as I drove off the gas dropped down again to half a tank. When I picked up the vehicle it was parked on a hilly area which I think had something to do with the change in the gauge.

Had a low rear tire and had to call for road side repair brdoew we got on the road. Also we never received the furniture dolly and there were not all 12 of the blankets. Gal there was super helpful and called ahead to where we had to the Girnee store so we could get more blankets. Unfortunately Gurnee store didn't have the furniture moving dolly either, so we didn't have one for our trip.

Cab was not cleaned and smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. There was a rattle/rubbing sound any time the accelerator was pushed. Overall the truck did the job I needed it to do and got me to and from safely.

I will rate as average because some people still prefer a human vs an app and struggled in the beginning with the instructions but then was able to figure it out. But on the contrary the return was simple. Overall great value and was able to contact someone via phone during the day. Thanks

Was not aware that I needed to get the code and truck details online, when I ask the rep how I would know the truck I would be getting she said the person at the site will have all that info for me when I arrived, not the case, place was closed, after an 1hr 1/2 of waiting I completed the online setup to get code and truck keys, not a happy for the late start

I am upset that I was charged another day, when I dropped it off on Saturday. The rep did not tell me I had to go online to verify I dropped it off. I found out on my own. He wasn't very helpful, no explanation, just rang me up and gave me the keys and told me where to park the truck if I drop it off after hours and where to put the keys. Never mentioned any extra fees. So I'd say they need to just explain how the renting policy goes. Merci.

I chose to do the self check in on my phone and I would not recommend it. Once I arrived at the location it had me answer a bunch of questions and verify who I was and it took awhile. I wish that could have been done ahead of time.

This feedback is based on the initial experience on November 2nd. During that time I experienced extreme difficulty in making a transfer from a 26ft. vehicle for a 15 footer. During the discrepancy of over three hours, I was in need of immediate technical assistance but was not allowed to have the representative stay on the phone and walk me through the situation. The issue was not resolved until the following day during business hours. I strongly suggest that individuals be available to assist the customer every step of the way if needed during after hours. Once the issue was resolved in person the following day, the experience was excellent.

Had many problems with my reservation at this location. Location staff was Incompetent, inexperienced and low customer service. Equipment was not maintained well. After loosing my reservation, they forced me to get a smaller truck and return it in 3 hrs and then they charge me for a second day after 3 hrs. Overall a very stressful day.

Was never sent link to check in equipment... Then was charged an additional fee.... Called to handle situation an got hung up on by the worker at the location I rented truck from upon calling back to resolve this they ignored my call the rest of the day

I feel when booking on website it should be more clear that even if you pick a site to pick up from you may need to drive FAR to get rental. Your NATIONAL website is not very clear in this

We had booked the truck for my parents for 9am 2/6. It took about an hour to get the truck out of the location. They had to dig out the truck from all the snow and we had trouble starting the truck. Unacceptable! Also when we had booked the truck I didn't add insurance but it was added to it anyways. I will make sure for future not to pick up at this location.

The 15ft moving truck I had ordered for pick up was not pick up ready at all. Frozen ice completely covering the windshield. And snow all around the truck. There was no windshield snow cleaner so I had to grab a shovel and take off the ice myself. Not only that I was stuck for 15 mins cause the wheels were too submerged in snow. Had no help and overran took 35 mins to get the truck out after started the rental time. Worst experience

I love how you guys charged me for a dozen furniture pads and you only gave me six so I had to run to Menards and buy tarps to cover my furniture and then I tell you guys this and you still charge me for a dozen when that’s not even what I got so no I would not recommend your service

I was told rental was for 24 hours. Then I was told the truck had to be returned the same day. Attendant said I could drop off truck any time that evening, just drop keys in slot on the door. I rented truck at NOON. I returned the truck at 5:30 pm, same day. I had the truck 5,5 hours & charged over $60! I was charged an additional fee for returning truck after hours. BULLSHIT!! I would NOT recommend renting a truck from that location to anyone. I was NEVER informed that there would be a late fee added to my cost. To say I was enraged would be an understatement.

Office hours listed are 9 AM to 4 PM; was closed when I arrived at 9; I called them & no answer; I knocked a few times, no response. I called U-Haul & was on hold for about 30 minutes & was told it was a GPS issue & that she couldn't help so was transferred & on hold for about 20 minutes more; more people arrived & I had to tell them about the situation. She also placed me on hold for an additional amount of time to correct the time & to find me another location! Other people didn't wait & left! While on hold 2 employees arrived after 10 AM! After a brief discussion, lady in office said that if I was having issues with U-Haul, they'd have issues too! I put c/s lady on speaker & had her talk to office lady. They fixed it but now I'm running over an hour late which was a ripple effect with the movers I got which is why the truck was returned after 4 PM. I also never received an email/message about return procedures as stated in the email for this review & now I'm being charged $20 more! I'd appreciate, if anything, you can waive the $20 fee. This was a horrible experience & doubt I'll use U-Haul & ABC Storage ever again. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

This has nothing to do with ABC. They were OK. It's your on-line reservation system that is terrible. It took me an hour to get out of there , after waiting on hold, being transferred, being told I had to turn on the locator on my phone, then having to download your ap only to have it not work, finally speaking to a supervisor who had me out of there in five minute. Why couldn't she help me in the first place? To top it off, I was charged an "after hours fee" even though I had the truck back to ABC by five o'clock. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST, if not THE worst, business experiences I've ever had. The first thing I did after getting the truck keys was to delete the newly-installed U-Haul ap from my phone. I can guarantee few things in this life, but I can guarantee this with all certainty: I will never, EVER, use U-Haul again.

The location and staff great. The app is crap. Did not work and kept shutting down . Took almost an hour to get the thing to work then 20 min to go through all the steps. And then to top that off when I called for help the wait time was almost a half an hour. But when I was a few minutes late I received a personal phone call. Same problem with app when leaving. Gave the key to the nice lady that was getting yelled at all the time because of your shit system.

When doing the mobile pick up I guess just a reminder to people that before you drop the key you need to take pictures of the truck odometer and fuel gauge otherwise love the automated service
