Was over charged even though I was quoted a price. Was in contact with a gentleman named Lou through email and who sent a snide reply to my question then he completely ghosted me when asked how we could move forward because I was over charged. Will never use you guys
Jonathan WrightingtonWhen I arrived to this location the website said it was open but it was closed. I had selected the mobile pickup, when I arrived no keys where in the box. U-Haul called the manager who mentioned someone was supposed to be in the office. When he got a hold of his staff member, the employee was in New York and didn't know of the reservation. Owner had to go inside and get us the key. Reservation was for 10 am and I didn't get the vehicle until 11 am waiting outside in 38 degree weather. Truck was on empty and we had to refuel it immediately. Overall worse experience from the company. Never using again.

Lisa VuoloI Love The place i did pick up The truck but I'm disappointed that my pickup location was changed last moment over the phone and I did have to drive much farther to 34 Hamilton in west haven. My original pick up was in Shelton.
agnieszpa rileyLocation was closed and not staffed. Not a single person in sight. It was about 45 degrees that day and I couldn't go inside to keep warm. So I checked in online but could not open the lock to retrieve the key due to it being rusted. Called U-Haul traffic division for assistance and waited for 20-25 mins. No response, so I called U-Haul 1-800 number. After 10 mins, I got a customer service rep who put me on hold and then hung up on me. Called 1-800 number again spoke to John who tried to help me with the lock and then put me on hold and while on hold I was able to force the lock open. The entire process took 70 mins and it was a nightmare. Would not rent from UHaul again.
Mason ChauUhual attendant wasnt available in person had to handle it over the phone i didn't receive the full run down on add-ons such as insurance coverage etc. Didn't get to decline it, i asked for a appliance hand truck but wasn't available, then I was told to check another location for one again wasn't available, I waisted gas, I then called the attendant to remove that add-on but it wasn't removed in the end. They did however help me with the time of having the rental at no extra charge because i did encounter delaying issues during my move. Make with what you want with that information but that was my experience.
Noel VillafaneI rented a 26ft truck who didn't have working rear lights which made driving at night unsafe. Had to purchase temporary lights at a rest stop to put on the truck. The truck also had a check engine light alert which was distressing, that and the loud reving noise heard whenever we pressed the brakes were unsettling. Overall, a bad experience.

Nicholas UngarPoor customer service overall. There were multiple people at this location trying to navigate it. We spent 45 minutes trying to open the key box. When we finally found a number, the guy on the other line was extremely rude. Not only would I not recommend this location, I wouldn't recommend uhaul.
