I've rented many Uhaul's and this location a) didn't socially distance or wear masks, b) Weren't open on time, c) charged me for an extra day when i was 6 minutes late on my 6 hour drop off d) gave me filthy moving pads when I rented them. They granted me a 15ft truck over the phone and was promised a 50 $credit if I didn't get it. I got a 10ft. truck which caused me to leave a 2 400,00 $ couch in Ft. Lauderdale and a 1 000,00 $ dining room table because I didn't have enough room. I want my 50 $credit put back on my card. MerciDEREK S.

The pickup was too easy, the contract was not fully explained to us and a unexpected mileage charge was incurred.Edwin B.
Guy kicked us out because we didn't have mask, although we were 20feet away from him. Also, the lady behind desk working didn't have a mask and he was wearing a sun buff over his face. A sun buff is not a mask. It will not do anything to prevent the virus from entering someone's respiratory system. It is used to protect the face from sun. Also the virus does not spread via surfaces so being 20ft away from him has no harmful risk. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and nice.Justin A.

Turned the trailer in with no issues. Consulted that I would be hit with 150 $fee for not returning the dolly I NEVER got from the Houston location.Alvin R.

Fire the millennial tending the store and shut this facility down. Where do I begin.... This unkempt, twenty-something, white male, millennial stood there with his zipper open, clutching his god-damned cell phone expecting me to hook the trailer up to my 2020 Lexus GX460 without his assistance whatsoever. He obviously had more important things to attend to then helping me do his job. Before inserting the ball hitch into the receiver on my vehicle, I asked this individual what size trailer ball did the trailer require (I have a multi-ball hitch) to which he responded that he didn't know. I deduced a two-inch ball, and inserted my multi-ball hitch into the receiver two-inch ball up. After I did that, with the next task being attaching the trailer to my vehicle, this individual just backed away from the area engrossed in his cell phone. Since I clearly recognized that I was on my own, I went about the task of lifting the trailer hitch off the ground and placing it on the trailer ball. I'm a 70 year old athlete who cycles 50 miles a day, and I can tell you that with no jack, the trailer hitch on this 6X12 trailer is both heavy and hard to manage. I actually struggled with it. So, instead of offering help, this incapable, self-engrossed individual just stood there watching me struggle with the trailer hitch and began asking me questions as if it was my "duty" to stop - mid-lift - and answer them. In response, I just gave him a "not now" glance and continued lifting and struggling until I got the hitch on the trailer ball. As I re-positioned myself to tighten the locking mechanism, this individual took an "attitude" with me, and in a scolding tone informed me that he was just asking a question and I didn't have to be so rude to him. With that remark, I continued hooking up the safety chains, after which I had to lay on the ground to insert the light plug into the socket on my vehicle. All the while your employee just stood there, with an "attitude" diddling with his cell phone - to the point where I was tempted to snatch it out of his death grip and throw it as far as I could. But, I didn't. So now, you have a U-Haul employee literally scolding the customer while the customer did his job. If you don't see a problem here, what more can I add? Now, to the trailer... It was old and filthy with the loading shelf and pull down strap literally covered with duck crap which i didn't notice until I needed to lift the door for loading. After cleaning up the duck crap I had to literally hose off my driveway. It was THAT bad! So in answer to your question - What can we do to improve for the next customer? - as a business owner I can only recommend that you fire this individual and shut this place down. This can't be fixed, only eliminated, because this is exactly what you don't want your customers to experience.David C.
The personnel here were outstanding. They've been open about a week when we returned our truck. They answered the phone in person, answered our question, and met us in the parking lot - unexpected but very nice. They are the only UHaul location open until 6pm on Sunday. We were able to return the truck Sunday afternoon - it was much easier for us and probably better for you since we returned it a day early. The location is incredibly convenient, too.
