This is my second rental and unfortunately my trailer had a leak and some of my contents got wet. The rental person made a note and assured me that this would be taken care of and repaired. Other than that the trailer once fine but maybe aging a little but very functional.

The people in Peotone were wonderful trying to help with the 100% increase placed on my rental by the regional office. The very unkind and unfriendly person in the regional office said that because I was picking the truck up in Will county as opposed to Kankakee county, the fee was doubled. But I didn't change the pick up location, the regional office did. The young man in Peotone stayed with me and called the regional office back after the first woman rudely refused to talk to me and hung up on the Peotone employee. An hour after the peotone site had closed, the situation was finally resolved and I was able to rent the truck and the original confirmation price. The lady in the regional office, who's name was something like Tywaneesha, should be fired and the young man in Peotone deserves a big raise.

Unit was full of ice and road salt I was told by the associate there that the manager had used it the previous evening to move things I understand it's winter but was not clean, they didn't have the furniture pads I put in my reservation, then I was asked to drive to downtown Kankakee to pick them up, no one offered me a refund at that time or anything I did email customer service last night, one of the associates told me I could return the trailer to any location, I was advised by email that I could not because it was a local rental and I may be charged a destination charge if not returned to peotone I had already dropped the trailer here in manteno, so I went to where I dropped it here in manteno at 6 30 am this morning and took it back and dropped it at the original location in peotone to avoid additional charges, this has been a disappointing experience

The left turn signal or left break light didn't work. They charged me for a dolly and blankets and I didn't get them. Didn't want them, but was never asked if I needed them or not. Was just charged for them.

Equipment was terrible , dolly had bird poop all over it blankets were dirty and wadded up in back of truck, the can of the truck was littered with ashes and cigarette butts along with dirty tissues and fast food wrappers, not to mention the vast amount of white dog hair all over the interior, I also was sent to wrong location and notified the day of as I was at my preferred location that I would need to travel a addition 90mi round trip to locate my truck only to be further disappointed by terrible service. Bottom line... I will never use uhaul again!

The ddealer was not prepared. The tow dolly was not rentable. Onece made usable, it was rented unsafe. Customer service are experts on passing the buck with a contant referrral to someone else to resolve the issues but no one actually resolves them. My last renatal from U-Haul. No more. I will use Budget or Penske in the future.
