There is one employee at this U-Haul location who handles the vehicles and the storage. When she is not at the phone, there is no one to help us. Yesterday, my girlfriend made the reservation. The website kept her in an endless loop of trying to check in. She called the U-haul helpline which put her on hold with an estimated wait time of almost one hour. She opted for the callback feature, and when it called her back it put her back on hold. She sat on hold for 49 minutes before giving up. We are moving and lost a day of progress with no vehicle. We don't have time for such unprofessional and unhelpful service. I am more motivated to travel farther away to get a competing vehicle, especially when then don't charge per mile.Eric M.

Make sure the card reader is working. My 3 stars is not a reflection of the location as much as it is of u-haul as a company. The equipment has improved vastly in the last 20 years. However, the IT department and toll-free customer service still has room for improvement.William B.

Rental equipment requested not included with rental. Definitely inconvenient to not have items requested, ended up costing me quite a bit to go buy the stuff I requested to rent. Calling customer service was a joke, they recommended calling the manager who is yet to return my call. I would rather buy a huge trailer to haul my items then to ever deal with a uhaul again. You all could definitely benefit from customer service training. Moving is stressful enough, thanks for adding to it and being completely inept to handle my moving needs.Michelle B.

Prices are deceiving. When looking at uhaul website when reserving a truck for the weekend prices were listed as 0,79 a mile not 1.29.TROY H.

Great pick up. Service was wonderful on drop off. All communications were excellent and handled with friendly and very polite agents. I really appreciated the friendly and professional way I was treated. My treatment told me that my business was important to U haul and it was their pleasure to have me as a customer. This is a rarity in todays consumer treatment. I commend U haul for caring how their customers really matter to their business. Thanks U haul for a great experience doing business with you.Linda B.

The U-Haul mobile app is clunky, has too many bugs, frustrating. Timed out, timed out, timed out. It would have been useful except for being so jacked-up. Sigh. Fortunately for me, the U-Haul staff ladies were able to sort it all out without the event making me late for an appointment.ROBERT B.

The lady running the store was very uneducated with U-Haul it took me 45 minutes to check out she could not print a contract I left without a contract I was charged for three days and I only had the rental for 30 hours she charged me for insurance and I didn't ask for insurance the bill should've been $24 and it was 72 please have someone call me 314-677-0244 She would like the phone rang and go to voicemail she went outside and smoke cigarettes while she was working on my contract before I left when I pulled up she was outside smoking cigarettes and when I left she was outside smoking cigarettesScott C.

It would of been nice to have the truck at the original pick up location I requested. Not only was the new location completely out of my way, but I then had to pay for the extra mileage as insult to injury.Kathleen L.
I used uhaul/truckshare to rent as it was after hours. I had no problem picking up the truck with my mobile phone and going through the process but returning it was a nightmare. The website said it couldn't find my location but I was sharing it so therefore, I had to pay an extra 24 hours as it was after hours and the place was closed. If when the track location feature does not work, you should be able to scan the barcode at the location like I did when I picked up the truckAngela L.

We had issues picking up our requested vehicle. The appliance dolly wasn't in the truck. Tab for the box dolly was missing, furniture pads not 8n the container so it appears that we used them.THOMAS T.
The equipment was wrong on the contract compared to the actual trailer. They tried to give me a different trailer type then what I rented. They forced insurance even though I didn't select it and had already prepaid online and then I couldn't get it refunded. I am VERY dissatisfied with everything associated with this location.BETTY B.

While the Hillsboro location was fine, it was very much out of the way for us for a pickup. We had scheduled a pickup on Manchester Road in Ballwin (literally one mile from our son's apartment) for 7 AM. The location was changed due to a drop-off switch (or an overbooking). We couldn't get it until the Hillsboro location opened at 8:30. Then the taillight adapters were not on the trailer, so we had to go to Advanced Auto Parts, NAPA, and back to another UHaul location to get someone to even know A) what to sell us and B) how to connect them. By the time we started loading the trailer--back in Ballwin (which was 42 minutes one way away), it was already 10:15 AM, and we had to be out of the apartment by noon. It was a very stressful morning.Sydney D.

It was pouring rain and the truck was parked in a mud pit, so in order to asses the back of the truck and cargo area you had to walk through slippery, sticky, mud. It would be good if the truck could be parked at least ten feet further into the actual surface lot and not in the mud. This is the second time I've had this experience with UHaul where there was a clearly defined lot with other trucks, but the truck I rented was sitting in mud.Brian P.

Forgot her name, but sweetest lady helped me drop off. Even when I called she gave me helpful information about times and reassured me they could guide me to help park it. Didn't take us long at all and w/ her help I was able to park in the lines even lol! Great experience, thanks all!Kelly J.

The trailer we were given to use would not stay tightened to the hitch, it was unsafe and unusable, we had to return it after 1 hour. There were no other units available.KEITH H.

The check in on phone was somewhat confusing when asking about a second contact. Wasn't sure what it was asking as far as the choices listed since I didn't have one listed. After waiting for 20 minutes on the phone for help I was FINALLY able to get my key and get rolling down the road. I will say that the check IN on the phone went much smoother!Brian S.

Card reader wasnt working, took 3 cards to get one to be accepted !!! I filled the truck ACROSS THE STREET FROM LOCATION upon return, filled it till the pump clicked off, it says on the truck to not top off..more fuel than when i picked it up and i was charged !!! Online return would go thru !!!! And the person at the desk never left her chair, no walk thru, no instruction on the truck...nothing...this was the worst u haul experience ive had in 40yrs...maybe if they stayed open more than 3,5 hrs in a saturday this would have went smoother...Kenneth G.

Lock box did not work - jammed? Tried to call many times and on hold for a long time. Suggestion to have emergency contact for location. Finally, 2,5 hours later, we got into another box for key. I scheduled to have a 26ft truck but received a 10ft. Messed up entire day and move. I really hope UHaul will take care of the inconvenience this has caused.Mike P.

Maintenance your equipment. The suspension was totally horrible. Front end alignment was completely off. I drive professionally so can tolerate a lot but an inexperienced person could potentially be in a lot of troubleMATT B.

We walked in to rent a small trailer with ramp to take a riding lawnmower from one place to another. We only needed it for a couple of hours at most. We called ahead to be sure that a trailer was available and went straight in. The person that was working was very nice, but it took five attempts and 45 minutes to actually rent us the trailer. She had to call someone else (twice) and at the end, we were forced to take and pay for the insurance, which was $11 extra. We had no intention on taking the insurance and made that clear, but were told that she was unable to remove it. We ended up paying almost $40 to rent a trailer for a couple of hours. We weren't given drop off instructions, so we just returned it after hours and left. I received a call the next day asking if we had returned it because there had been no self check-in. I explained that we weren't told that we needed to do that and that we had, in fact, dropped it off the previous evening around 6pm. We have rented from U-Haul many times in the past and have never had this kind of an experience. Overall, it was a poor experience and we will probably not use this location again, although it is the closest to our home.ADRIANNE M.

The website I had to use to return the truck started me over twice and the third time I made it further along but there was no indication that I was done so I don't know if I actually made it all the way through the return process. The after hours check out process is impossible. It took 3 hours.... and I'm actually tech savvy! People can't be on there phone with support and be on a website at the same time with one phone! When there is a problem or something is not filled in correctly instead of the website forcing you through the ENTIRE process just to kick it out due to an error 5 pages prior is ridiculous! I went through the form 5 times! That's a lot of typing on a PHONE!!!! At least 2 of the 5 customer service reps were ignorant of their job! Whoever canceled the reservation just added another layer of anger. Yes, I said cancel, then she talked me out of it just to hang up with me, just to not call me back as she said she would and instead cancel the reservation.... REALLY??? How dumb!Laura M.
