Out of five or six recent rental the last two were the worst ! One could not get his laptop to work and said he would not even rent me a trailer because its so much work for him, he insisted I rent a truck. I waited 45 minutes and left with no trailer. I made a reservation elsewhere for next day on 6x12 trailer. I get there and had to call for gate code, then I was told the place has no staff to hook up trailer, they use video type set up only. I am a 55 year old woman and was told to pick up trailer off ground to put on my hitch or use a jack as there was no help. I am so upset over how I was treated, if I had not needed the trailer so badly I would have driven off without it. I had to go find help and then go back amd call for yet another code. Later that day I got a call from uhaul saying I had no valid contract so I wasnt operating trailer legally. I hope I dont have to rent another truck or trailer after all this.

No one was available for truck return, had a hard time trying to find box but was helped after finding contract and telephone as location was simply an empty parking lot with no office. The following day an email was received with final charged and i was charged for gas. we specifically stopped and put gas in truck prior to returning but were still charged. I sent a return email with the inquiry and still have not gotten a response. We are owed money from this rental.

The truck drove very rough and the brakes did not brake very well. Driving this truck was like flying in rough turbulence for 3.5 hours. It was loud and shook and vibrated. The dash board vibrated, the middle seat rattled and when the truck was stopped you could smell exhaust fumes in the interior. It was also covered in leaves and sticks from being parked outside, the windshield was very dirty and needed to be cleaned before driving, It was also given to me with zero fuel and I feared I would not make it to the gas station before it ran out of gas I had to drive immediately to the gas station as it would not have made it to my home.

The location is an open field with a fence around it. There was no one there to help with un hitching the trailer and to process the paper work,

Pickup time was scheduled for 10 am nobody at location when arrived didn't show till 10:40 am. Did not receive proper papers for the rental. Took till 11 am to get checked in almost missed a scheduled pickup time.

UHaul in general needs to improve experiences for its customers overall. The lady that was managing our particular pickup location was wonderful and tried her best, but they did not have the furniture dolly or furniture pads we had reserved. I had to call our requested pickup location to confirm equipment and location that morning, because UHaul had not clearly confirmed any of that with me the day prior. We found on the morning of pickup that the size truck we requested was not available at the original pickup location, so they sent us to another one. C’mon, guys. CONFIRM the specifics with people before the day of pickup! Neither time that we have rented with Uhaul lately did they have what we requested (either location or equipment). UHaul then charged me for renting a dolly that we did not request or need, and it was a hassle for the manager at our new pickup location to deal with the main “office” to get any credit on our statement for the equipment that we didn’t receive, and they also gave her a hard time about adding my husband as a driver after they had already run my card. The reps at the locations also need to be better about telling customers the practical information that would save the company lots of time and effort in roadside assistance calls (i.e, when additives are needed in the gas tank or making sure certain doors latch before being moved). It would also save your customers a lot of time and frustration.
