Reserving the truck was super easy and the staff was very helpful. Returning the truck took a while as the office was closed. U-Haul online return through their app was comprehensive requiring a lot of pictures.
Duncan CThe UHaul app was completely unhelpful. After Google Maps brought me to the rental location, the UHaul app claimed that my phone's GPS could not locate me at the rental agency. This is obviously nonsense. Fix the app, please, or add a workaround step to the acknowledgement of the correct rental location. The on site staff were unreservedly helpful and the shop owbener came out on a Saturday to make sure things worked out alright. Kudos to them. Raspberries to your software managers.

Nina FMy experience was great and I would recommend AMG Fleet Services for anyone in the Staunton area looking for U-Haul rental equipment. The location is not in plain sight, but it's easy to find. If you exit off I-81 onto 250 (Richmond Ave) heading into Staunton, travel ~ 2 miles. When you pass Martin's Grocery and McDonough Toyota (on the right side of the road) look for a small standing U-Haul sign (also on the right side of the road) and turn into the parking lot. You will see the AMG / U-Haul dealer at the back of the parking lot. Staff was friendly and dedicated, and made renting and returning my rental truck a great experience! Merci!

Latavis RPost info next to drop box on what to do if you don't have the Uhaul app on your smartphone or can''t check out via your smartphone. (I was able to check out using my smartphone, but another gentleman couldn't get the app on his phone & he couldn't reach his wife who was the renter. The location was effectively unmanned, so he didn't know quite what to do to check out.)
Alan MI was charged for a service that I did not select, but I was also transferred here from a different U-Haul location that did not have my equipment, so something may have been lost in the transfer. Other than that, everything was perfect.

JOHN FMaybe instead of holding someone's entire account for a $90 U-Haul there would be a way to only hold the amount required to cover what you purchase. Also the held funds (imo) should be released upon returning the U-Haul. Days later charge is still pending for WELL over what I should be charged.

INDIA wThis was the first time we had used your company and this particular location. We just weren't sure where we could leave our vehicle. Everything else moved just like clockwork. Your people were pleasant, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to use your company again if I needed to move. Thank you very much for making an easier job out of one that's usually a total calamity!!
maryjane BI had trouble with the website putting the correct mileage in because the decimal would not go in the right place, so I could not finish the online portion.

todd aScott the owner is alway accommodating even at the last minute and John his assistant will go above and beyond to help you! I rent either a 15ft truck or a trailer (they even installed a uhaul hitch to my SUV) 6-8 a times a year and would go no where else!
Mark RNot sure what happened and I didn't bother causing a stink. Wasn't pleased with the condition of the van with the rear doors being hit from a previous rental. They wouldn't shut right and it made me very uncomfortable. Wasn't sure if the vehicle should of even been out on the road. I was expecting a newer van as pictured when I rented the vehicle.
Karen BWish the windshield was clean, that there was washer fluid available, and in general, wished that the truck cab interior was wiped so as to be cleaner.

Laura HThe main drawback of this location is that it is hard to find because it's not visible from the street and the signage is small. The office didn't answer when I called the morning of drop off and no one was at the desk when I walked in. Otherwise this location served its purpose in the end.
Jean WI have nothing but positive experience working with U-Haul agents when I returned the truck, first time in Staunton and second time in Dover, DE. I had to swap truck due to brake line leakage. The U-Haul mobile application need to be updated to work better in this scenario.
