The 143 North 4th Street location rental was for the second day of our move on Sunday the 24th. Mike Riley, the owner, did a great job! The day before, however, Saturday, we had lined up many friends to help us move. When I called to pick up the 26 foot U-Haul truck, I was told that it wasn't available because it was making a noise. I later found out that that particular location does this on a routine basis. I will caution anyone who reads this that this is hearsay. I don't have any evidence that that is true. What I can't say, however, is that my impression of U-Haul after that experience on Saturday was extremely low. After my experience on Sunday with Mike Riley, my opinion of U-Haul has gone back up to a five-star excellent rating. I explained to me that U-Haul is meticulous about maintaining its vehicles properly oh, that play check certain things every 2200 miles etc. So I guess I will use U-Haul again, but I will exercise some prudence and avoid the North 7th Street location in Steubenville Ohio

When I make an appointment thru Mr. Montgomery’s office on 7th st in Steubenville, Ohio, don’t change my arrangements. I didn’t care for the change in pick up locations. Also I was give a quote, then I recieved quote at new pick up location that was raised by $50. I return the van a day early and you even changed my drop off location which added undo time to my travels. I’m hoping that what your U Haul representative from your terminal told us, my account gets refunded the $50 overcharge. Also, I required 5 blankets and only recieved 4. Wasn’t happy with the whole ordeal.

He charged me extra day rental-extra day insurance-cleaning fee— I only had truck five hours and cleaned it impeccably before returning it! I called U-Haul and talked to Sylvia today nov.23. I’m going to file claim in small claims court Monday November 26.
