The truck was extremely dirty, both in the passenger as well as the back with food remnants in the front and sand, cardboard and dirt in the back. Never seen anything so bad.Henk-Jan B.

Man oh MAN...so I do party decor...in brooklyn ny. I rented a van to carry small, but alot, of the decor from my place to the event space, that was 4 trips...2,8 miles each way. The younger attendant had a very nasty attitude on the day of rental pick-up, and the way he handed me the key, with the smirk like "I'll get you one way". I was very suspicious. My first time renting a van, I knew I should take video of the van and any mishaps...never did I even THINK to take a pic of the odometer. This dude, some way some how is trying to charge me for 75miles, I MAYBE went 20 miles, I'll pay for 25 even...BUT 50 EXTRA miles...at 1,79 a mile...AND I filled up the gas to where the mark was when I got it...he charged me 25 $for gas. This place needs to be shut down. I've tried their corporate office many times to no avail. They come unto my account each week to try and recoup whatever they're saying I owe. Mean time, that price is in dispute. I'm almost ready to rent from them again, take pics of the odometer and gas, and see what happens when I return the vehicle again. I'm not into S and M, but need to get to the bottom of this without paying that extra fee. This place doesn't do justice for the uhaul brand at all!Olivia D.

I was told to come to Linden NJ they have a truck for me. I took cab with my 74 yr old mom. The place cliosed. I had ro rake cab to train statiin after mom tried walking. Train nit working. Toiok cab to NYC rentes there cost me ovee 100 $more should have gone to Home DepotRobert A.
I think they could've extended an ounce of grace by not charging me for gas, especially since I arrived early for my 1:30pm reservation and didn't get the truck until after 1:45pm.Rashida M.

The Uhaul was filthy inside. The floor and seats and dashboard were covered in dirt and plaster residue. Looked like melted plastic on the floor and vomit stains. I tried to give it back and the man said he cleaned it fir 2 hours and that was the best he could do. It was disgusting. I used blankets to cover everything. I returned a Uhaul once and got charged because I forget and left a bag in the back and they called it trash. If that's the case the person who rented before me should have been charged for an entire price of a Uhaul van.sheryl R.
The only issue was the employee arrived late for work and people were waiting to pick up their rentals. If people schedule a pick up at the time of opening the employees should arrive at least 15 minutes before opening. Not very professional.Audrey C.

At the arrival to get my truck the greater was very. My boss even mentioned to me maybe we should think about do business with a different company besides U-Haul. For me to write a bad reviews say a lot how bad we were treating.Wolky G.

Customer service was SLOW, they literally did not have the equipment that I had rented and paid for. They also charged me for THREE days when I had the van for TWO days and the van didn't even have AC when I moved (it was 105F degrees).Ivan O.

The elderly gentlemen working the station was very friendly. However, when I came for my appointment, a van was not ready. Had to wait for about an hour for the crew to get an alternate ready. One of the crew was very rude while I was waiting. When I asked how long it would be before the alternate was ready he said I'd just have to wait around and see.John H.

Hi Uhaul -- The van that I rented had a leak during my trip. It was raining all along my trip and we had to dry inside the van every 10 min!!! Please DO NOT rent out this van until you fix it. People will have a hard time if it rains. Also, I would like to get my money back for a horrible experience i had with your rental. Please let me know when you will credit my debit card. The truck rode a little weird but it got me through it from the job. It wasn't spotless but it wasn't filthy. It would've been nice to know it was cleaned between jobs. The attendants at the station were very helpful and very good. I hired movers through Uhaul and they were excellent. Picking up the Truck was very easy with the online feature and dropping off would've been just as easy but the attendant did it for me. It was hard to find parking. However the attendants came out and parked it for metatia C.
Equipment was clean, but insurance papers & registration were missing. Vehicle battery was drained, and continually had trouble starting up. At one point, it wouldn't start, and I had to call roadside assistance to jump the car. Otherwise the vehicle worked and drove very well.Michael L.

When we were issued the truck, I checked its cleanliness and condition. The bed of the 9' van was left dirty with gravel and dust. We went back to the front desk and asked about the cleanliness, and they said don't worry about it. Here's some moving blankets. We ended up having to buy a broom to clean it up ourselves so it wouldn't damage our belongings.Gabrielle E.

Can was not cleaned nor sanitized. There was evidence of crumbs, debris etc in the van. Especially during the pandemic it is crucial for the vans to be cleaned and well maintained before renting to customers.JOHNC L.

My partner and I reserved a 15-foot truck from this location for our move to Seattle this year. At first glance, I was not impressed of the location. But we were greeted right away by Tony with a caring and patient demeanor. He showed us where our truck was and suggested we come in to take care of the reservation, rather than doing the app. I'm glad we did, because Jafar (the clerk) was very helpful as well. Unfortunately, they didn't have the 20 blankets we reserved/ordered for our move. They only had 2, so we got a refund. (Renters, please make sure to return the blankets when returning your vehicle. Don't be a d*ck!) We really needed the blankets, so Tony went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I gave him a very generous tip for taking good care of us. Tony and Jafar are good workers and friendly people. Make sure to come in with a smile (even when wearing a mask) and be kind to them. Thank you Tony and Jafar for your good service and kindness. The communication was sparse. After speaking with the attendant at the customer service window there was little substantive communication. They parking attendant gave me the keys and said go. There was no instruction after that especially about how the truck would be inspected.Henry C.

It took me 2,5 hours and 2 different locations to pick up the truck I reserved. This impacted our entire day, and was extremely stressful. I will not being using Uhaul again if I can avoid it.Heather W.

The service at Arminda station was impossibly slow. When I arrived, the five customers ahead of me were all frustrated. I waited 45 minutes until I was served. I spoke to severa customer service folks about this and was promised a call back. The experience was bad over all. The truck was in poor shape.ERICS T.

When I arrived the attendant was engaged in a personal phone call during the entire transaction. He also said that they didn't have the truck that I requested and I had to opt for a larger vehicle. The truck had a damaged ignition that required the key to be forced into it for it to work. The passenger door frame was bent as though someone used a crowbar to open it at some point. I returned the vehicle an hour early. The attendant would not check the truck and said that everything was good to go. I was surprised to receive a notification the following day that indicated that I was charged for two days along with a fuel surcharge. The invoice indicated that it was checked in 3 1/2 hours after I had dropped it off which is what triggered an additional day's rate charge. Overall, the extra charge was 110 % more than the original charge. I wrote to the service provider, but did not get a response back. I am extremely disappointed since I've rented from this establishment before without incident. I'll most likely use Penske or some other competitor because of this egregious service experience.Kyle S.
