Upon arrival, 11 am as told to do, the woman in charge was not there. The mechanics were not sure where she was but was kind enough to call her to find out what to do. All the woman told them was that the keys were in the truck. She was in a different town for banking. I was supposed to have a walk through, add insurance, and even pay for the truck. Nothing. So I was on two different phones attempting to reach someone about this. I had people who volunteered to help load the truck waiting. Finally, a woman named Heather answered and even tried contacting the woman who was supposed to be at this place. Heather didn't have any luck either. Thankfully, Heather took all the information, added the insurance, and said she would try to get something done about the lady who bailed. I told Heather that this lady at this location also was rude to my mother in law the day before and had even hung up on my mother in law. This was completely unprofessional and horrible service. I will not recommend this location for uhual rentals. I can't say anything about the mechanic business of it as I do not know. They were nice throughout. They were closed on the day I dropped the truck off and no one was there to check me inmavis H.
We were overcharged. We only had the truck from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm on April 9th and were charged a total of $162,09 in two separate transactions on April 13th. We have photos of the odometer and inside the truck showing we left it clean. The lady that runs the U Haul store had to leave for an emergency that day and we were having trouble with the UHaul app. We would like to have this issue resolved but cannot find a link to upload the pictures from our camera roll. Have representative show up and have a contract ready. I was told to take it without a contract and it would be emailed to me. Had difficult time turning in because i had no contract.william V.
I said 'not applicable' because front looked brand new while the side looked like it was trying to pass between two simi's on a two lane road and obviously didn't fit. The inside was ok.Tom M.

The computer had the reservation mixed up. The worker there made great effort and found a solution. Fortunately, the truck was there. She and I both forgot to load the pads I rented.Gregory M.
The pick up location is literally in a truck repair shop. You have to walk through men fixing large machinery to get to the â€œofficeâ€. While the representative was cordial and apologetic, she was also 20 mins late opening the shop. This was after we arrived three hours earlier to utilize the truck share program we signed up for. However, this location does not offer that service and opens late at 10 a.m. We had ordered several furniture blankets, a furniture dolly, and a 2 wheel dolly. They only have us one furniture blanket. They didn't have the rest.Joshua A.

Uhaul will never get my business again. The lock at the pickup location didn't work, so I got sent to a second location. That alone would be fine but I was told I'd see a credit of $50 for the trouble (which I haven't). I got charged at both locations and now have to wait a business week to get that much needed money back. After dropping off the truck, the location didn't confirm I returned it until I called uhaul and they reached out to them. The kicker is I still got charged an additional $77 for â€œafter hours serviceâ€ and additional mileage that should've been credited to my contract because of the extra trip I had to take to GET THE TRUCK. Overall horrible experience and I'll not make the same mistake again.Richard J.

Avoid this place. They refuse to check in equipment, don't answer the phone during open hours on Saturday, and charge late fees when they can't be bothered to get out of their chair. Always take pictures with these people and follow up with uhaul corporate. (U haul corp took care of us)Allen D.

The U Haul Handler (Tonya) was not at the location when I arrived nor was there anyone around to help me. I had to wait 30 mins til they figured out how I was going to get the U Haul because they didn't see a reservation under my name. Tonya did not specify that there would be a late charge for returning the U Haul after business hours. All Tonya told me was to have it back by 8am the next morning which was when the next reservation was for that U Haul. I want a refund Because I did not sign a contract stating information about a late fee for returning it after hours nor did they say there would be one, they just said to return the vehicle when I'm done with it. And I also want a refund for returning the vehicle at the gas level it was at because I was not told to fill it back up to a full tank nor did I sign a contract that said that I needed to. Better customer care I was giving a run around. Then Uhaul would not add miles to my contract. On top of it they never gave me back my 100 dollar cash deposit. Scam artists if you ask me.Collin H.

I received the truck with less than a quarter of a tank of gas when I was told it was at half of a tank. I was charged a cleaning charge.Pesha H.

I was charged $25 for cleaning, what's that all about, It was just as clean as I got it. The self check in would not work, I was called on that Saturday and had to spend an hour on the phone redoing the paperwork. Probably why the self check in didn't work. So I was charged $45 more than was told. Just won't use U-Haul again.WILLIAM R.

I have had several days to think over and ponder my service at the front end of my Uhaul rental: I cannot remember the last time at any American business that I have had such a customer service debacle. Though the representative and I got on well (and I believe she earnestly desired to do what was necessary), the "internet seemed to be out" at the location, which just seemed to bring all options and effort to a haltâ€"no paper, no direct line, no way for personally affiliated with Uhaul still to be sure business gets done. When the local rep called an area manager, he took no interest in the case, saying that I just had to call 1-800-uhaul and start over as a walk in customer (since I had wanted to pick up at a location in my town and Uhaul determined that I had to pick up in the next town, some 10-15 miles away. To be clear: I selected preferred pickup locations that were closer. I understand the meaning of "preferred" and the fact that i might need to drive to the next town if that is where the rental happens to be due to the most recent drofoffs, but under no circumstances do I, who had an early reservation, suddenly become a walk-in customer because my preferred pickup location could not be honored. So, I had to call 1-800-uhaul, whose lines were overrun. I was on the line for 30 minutes, finally got someone, explained the situation; she understood the situation and said she would transfer me to someone who could handle it. Approximately, 24 minutes later, someone in insurance picked up ready to ask my about my claim. Pained, I explained that I had now waited close to an hour and they had put me in line in a department that did not apply. After the second person from the call center attempted the transfer and I waited for another 20 minutes, I tried the "express check-in" on my phone, which had not been my preferred option (while the hold music was still playing). Eventually, payment went through, my drivers license was posted and accepted, and I emailed over the pages to the U-Haul rep. "You're ready!" she exclaimed. "You have been here for over an hour, and everything is here. Load up." (26 foot Supermover and Auto Transport trailer). Once I was on the road (literally several hundred yards), I got a call from corporate, which I pulled over in order to take. The lady at corporate asked me if I still needed the rental for today. "Yes, thank you, we have just been able to wrap things up. I am driving it." To make a long story short, corporate sent me back, saying that I should not and could not be in the van yet (obviously, I was in some legal jeopardy if something should happen; I mentioned that the local rep said that everything was in order). By the time I arrived the area manager and local rep were on the phone and now the area manager was actually drawing up the contract to email. Perhaps the timing was coincident, but it seemed that now he could be bothered with the case when he couldn't be from her first phone call (now 2 hours earlier).Nathan S.

I think the best way to improve service for the next customer is to remove the franchise from this location and send all the equipment to the Orleans location that I originally tried to rent from--and then U-Haul switched my reservation to this location!!MARCUS C.
