Bad experience with UHAUL (not the location) I'm very mad because I reserved the equipment to be picked up at a specific location, got an e-mail confirming the reservation and pick up location, when I got there I had to drive an extra 44 miles to go pick up the equipment at a different location, UNACCEPTABLE

This location itself was great - BUT - I had a contract for a van - and to be picked up from a DIFFERENT location. An hour before my reservation - I was told I needed to go somewhere else - 8 miles away - adding 16 miles to my trip - for which I was charged!?! Additionally - I was told a van wasn't available unless it was a round trip. I needed a one-way. How could that be - since I had a contract for a one-way van rental??? So - after being sent somewhere different - I was told I needed to rent a larger/more expensive truck than I needed - and then I was charged the more expensive rate AND the extra mileage?? What the heck is that?? Not to mention - this truck used more gas than a van would have used - also an additional charge I needed to pay for?! NOT OK.

UHaul changed my pickup location the day before the move. Would have appreciated a call rather than just an email. Luckily I checked before we left to pick up our truck - which was "upgraded" to a 17 foot truck. The new location was further from our apartment and our storage unit. We were on a tight schedule with movers and the extra 45 minutes round trip meant we had absolutely no cushion in our schedule.

Rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer for a move from nyc area to New Orleans. The trailer was brand new, never used before, and everything work perfectly. The price was within budget and was able to insure the trailer and contents so there were no worries. Drop off of trailer took less then 5 minutes. Great experience

Rating for my uhaul experience, and not for this location. The 24/7 pick up didn’t work and greatly negatively affected my entire moving schedule as well as increased my moving costs by roughly $250.

The bus was very clean; equipment the dolly Wheels could not turn and when I brought the truck back to let them know I was still charged every day for the dolly. Absolutely disgraceful experience with Uhaul this weekend - and what's worse is that this review will go to the location, not the overall company. Uhaul changed my pick-up location at the last minute from my preferred location in my town, to another town 30 minutes away, adding unnecessary time and mileage to my move. Then, the equipment that I paid for, including three dollies, was not available at this location, or at the next location I drove to. How are you supposed to prepare and organize a move if you can't rely on the company you've paid and made a reservation with? I will not be using UHaul again.

They were behind excellent!! The mileage was over a bit, not for much but I explained the ordeal in the previous location and the fact that I had to go back and forth to get the boxes removed. I was helped about this matter and the extra charge was voided. They were all very helpful and sorry that I had that experience earlier. Very polite and easy to do business with. Will definitely recommend this location to everyone I know! Thank you so much!

You changed my location twice without notice, when I arrived to this location the truck I reserved was unavailable. COMMENTS RELATED TO ORIGINAL BOOKING - Originally, I was booked at Stefanelli Avis - Route 206 in Princeton. Well how nice - the online system took my reservation and when we got to the location, they were CLOSED! Why would you accept a reservation when the location will be closed? What a PAIN. I was able to quickly rebook to Asa Gas location and THEY WERE AMAZING. They were quick, helpful and friendly. Not only that, they had exactly the type of vehicle we needed and it was new and clean. I highly recommend them. I do NOT recommend your online reservation system....or Stefanelli’s.

The staff at this location deserve a ton of credit for redeeming the U-Haul brand overall. If it weren't for the above-and-beyond service here I most certainly would have never even considered using U-Haul again. Renting a uhaul was an absolute nightmare. I’ve used uhaul before but this was a true disappointment. I would rather hire a company and pay extra before doing this again. I was sent to an actual U-Haul owned location in Scotch Plains, NJ. I was informed I should have received a text because the trailer they had was a local unit and not for one way use. After 40 minutes in the store and a short debate about I should have received a text message I was sent to New Brunswick. When I got to the location they didn’t have my reservation and asked I go to Plainfield NJ. After 1.5 hours of debate, speaking to uhaul, and waiting with the stench of a cashier at a c Gas station who didn’t bath in a month I was able to get the rental.

*No issue with the location but booking notification changing the pick up address and reservation time 24 hours before the scheduled pick up was terrible. I had to readjust the whole plan to accommodate as it even changed the reservation time. I had no issues with pick up and drop off locations but I think inaccurate reservation system was terrible. I would not be looking at U-haul for future business for that reason.

I Do not appreciate being charged $15.40 for "gas" for using the truck for less than 4 hrs and returning with a full tank. That's robbery! Location was convenient, close to home but will go to another u-haul next time. Don't have time to fight for a refund now.

The vehicle was not in condition at all. We had to jump start the vehicle every time we turn it off. The weather was so cold on the day we rented it and we had to stand for hours together outside and jump start it. We couldn’t even dare to turn it off once it was started. But still somehow it got stopped and we have to do the jump start procedure all over again. We were not able to fill the gas as there were no gas stations open at that time in that route and we were charged more than 50$ just for the sake of gas. It was already 3AM in the morning and we couldn’t even dare to reroute the vehicle just to fill up the gas. It was a very poor maintenance of he vehicle and really a very bad experience. I wouldn’t definitely recommend u haul for any of my friends

This place is an embarrassment to U-Haul. It's a 7-11, not a U-Haul. When I arrived for my scheduled pickup of the 6 x 12 carrier, no one knew how to attach it to my car. I waited 25 minutes for the manager to arrive and he installed it. But the chains were scrapping on the ground and the rubber gasket wasn't properly attached. I drove to the main U-Haul store I usually use and asked the Manager to check the installation. She did and told me what the Manager at Asa did was a "no no" - and was not properly installed. Thankfully, she repaired it.

My issue was not with the location itself but with the lack of information uhaul provides at the time of booking. We were unaware that arriving late to our reservation time would lead to our reservation being cancelled, which was our first issue. Considering we’re moving across the country, we were hoping the time frame might be flexible, especially if we had registered for 24/7 checkin. However this was not the case. After being redirected over the phone, we once again tried our 24/7 check in only to find out that if the account owner (my mother, Jeana Stanley) wasn’t present we could not pick up the vehicle. Absolutely none of this information was provided to us online, on the app, or during the registration process. This ultimately delayed us significantly in our moving process
