They can improve everything! First of all there was an option when I booked, to speak with a human being, I got there it was a number on the wall for me to call. When I did call the lady was very rude saying that she didn't have the system in front of her, kids crying in the back dogs barking very unprofessional. It took me almost 2 hours to take the truck out, I had to get the help of a Samaritan that was getting his van. The chargers were wrong I did not drive 50 miles. I drove 32 miles. And I did not have the truck for two days I had to try for four hoursMariana R.

There was no one there. Virtual pickup was difficult and took far too long. Truck had messages about low air pressure in tire. They didn't have the dolly or furniture pads I ordered. I had to wait for about 1,5 hours to get the tuck, there was no one @ the location for customer service I had to keep calling the number posted on garage door to get updates every 25 minutes or so, the truck had a pile of used pads from previous rental. The last time I used this location there was someone present on-site who managed the check in process. This time there was no one there. Your online check-in process and the process to get the code to open the key safe is confusing and frustrating. Not a true uhaul location. Where you are able to ask questions. Picking up the truck should have taken no more than 30 minutes took over an hour. There was no one there to help us, despite the fact that I had selected that I wanted to check in with a person. The online check in process was a giant pain and too far too long. It also assumes a person has a smart phone and good signal. I did not have good signal and had to hotspot another phone to make it work. Also, since no one was there, we had to call customer service to get help and then there was no one to provide us with the equipment we were supposed to also rent so the whole moving process was also harder and took longer than it should have. This was an overall horrible experience, most of which I attribute to the way UHAUL is now managing the rentals.Rebekah D.

The employee for the location was not on the premise. I called the number for assistance as I could not continue the verification process via my smartphone in order to access the lockbox code due to a technical error. Was not informed by vendor that they did not accept after hours drop offs. When returning truck at 1:00 am gates locked and we had to call for support. Nearly 25 minutes without resolution. Called number on fence and vendor answered and shared that gate was left unlocked for our return. (This WAS NEVER COMMUNICATED and had I not called the vendor directly, I would have been forced to keep truck overnight and find parking in snowstorm) The moving pads we requested were also not in the truck although I had been charged for them. In addition, the wireless signal goes in and out in this particular location, so using the Uhaul App for contactless pick up/drop off, created yet another obstacle. Overall, the worst experience I have ever had with UHaul.Carol S.

I'm not sure how much was the fault of the location. The app and website are terrible. It didn't recognize my location no matter what I did. My friend was able to make it work on his Android phone but even then it took forever even though I did all the pre-check stuff. I called twice and the managers showed up (on Sunday) and helped me and another guy check out. After spending about 40 minutes on the phone the staff guy just handed me the key. Total waste of time, including theirs. My advice to U-Haul - you're not serving food or having any close contact, just have your people wear a mask and gloves and check docs and hand over the key. The "contactless" thing you're doing doesn't work with your tech and is a bad customer service experience that's only salvaged by the people at the location.Scott F.
The instructions for returning the vehicle are not quite right. Firstly, the first step in the flow seems like it's saying the first thing you should do is drop the keys in the drop box. This would be a huge mistake, since you need them for the rest of the flow. Lastly, it asks you to confirm that the truck is in a condition suitable for the next family to use. Well, it's certainly clean enough, but I had to return the rental equipment (dollies, furniture protectors) in the van. If the next family did not rent those things, or rented different things, it would obviously not be appropriate for them to rent the van as-is.Joshua B.
