I went to this location because my reserved truck was not available from a different location. The owner was so accommodating for a walk-in transaction on a holiday. I only needed the truck for 3hrs but was so happy that it was due for return after 6hrs because we were only able to return it after 3hrs. I highly recommend this location.

The RESERVATION I made was for 8:00 A.M., but when I drove to this location, there was no one there, the store was closed, even though I had waited until 8:10 A.M., I tried phoning before I left this location and was NOT able to even leave a message because their voicemail box was full - Really?! By the way, the hours of operation for this location state they are open M-F at 7:45 A.M. Because the store wasn't open by even 8:10 A.M. I drove all the way home to phone the 1-800 number for U-haul customer service, but before doing so, decided to TRY to call this location once more. At 8:25 someone answered the phone to let me know that yes, they were now there! Now I had to drive back there yet again. NOT impressed, Unreliable and NO I would NOT recommend this location to anyone and have already told coworkers and friends about the unacceptable lack of service. So You are aware, I also had to PAY $ and reserve a time slot for the building/elevator access I was moving into and this took 1/2 hour off the time slot I had to pay for moving, time I NEEDED. Not to mention, other people took time off from work to help me move which also inconvenienced them. NOT impressed with the casual attitude of this location one little bit!

Booking with uhaul is unreliable and unorganized. First experience, the pod was suppose to be delivered to our house and it didn’t arrive. Second experience, I booked a van at a specific location and upon arrival it, wasn’t there. The sales clerk had to search for a van a different location.

as in all equipment for U-haul it is not maintained very well... every time a piece of equipment is returned it should be gone through thoroughly to make sure everything is up to par and working properly. This is meant for all locations in North America. the gentlemen that helped me at the Athlone location was very helpful and polite... i will definitely deal with him again,,, thank you .

The man who helped us was very incompetent and didn't seem to understand what was going on. Did not help us in regards to getting it hitched on or making sure everything was attached right or anything. I was very unhappy with the over all experience at that location. The lights on the tow dolly also did not work and that was very frustrating as well as that was the only stock.

THE SCHEDULED DROP OFF LOCATION WAS 584 KING ST. WE RETURNED THE TRUCK ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON (1 DAY EARLY) AN ASSOCIATE AT THIS LOCATION CHECKED THE TRUCK FOR GAS AND DAMAGE.EVERYTHING WAS OK UNTIL THE MANAGER CAME IN AND SAID THEY WERE NOT TAKING ANY MORE TRUCK RETURNS.SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND WOULD NOT DISCUSS IT .THE ASSOCIATE THAT CHECKED THE TRUCK IN DISAPPEARED ALONG WITH THE MANAGER.AFTER SEVERAL FAILED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT CORPORATE AND 45 MINUTES WASTED WE DECIDED TO DROP THE TRUCK AT ANOTHER UHAUL LOCATION. THE LOCATION THEY SENT US TO HAD CLOSED 2 HOURS EARLIER.UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.AFTER SEVERAL CALLS WE WERE ABLE TO LEAVE TRUCK AT THE CLOSED LOCATION.THERE WERE MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS BEING TURNED AWAY ON SATURDAY AND IT WAS PROBABLY WORSE ON SUNDAY.THE KING ST LOCATION IS A CORPORATE OWNED LOCATION ;HOWEVER,THIS WAS THE WORST MANAGED BUSINESS I HAVE DEALT WITH IN A LONG TIME. IF YOU ARE RETURNING A TRUCK TO THIS LOCATION BEWARE.

I had originally selected the King street location, however much to my dismay they were not accepting vehicles. The manager was not nice at all, and treated me like garbage while assisting someone that was spending $19.95 for their vehicle when I spent over $910.00 Then I wasnt supposed to be charged the extra GAS, as I just had filled the truck, and had to drive extra miles and use more gas. The regiional manager is the one that instructed me to go to this location and it wasnt even open, so I couldnt even be sure if I was going to get the appropriate credits I deserved AND I DIDNT. Received an invoice via email today. I should have been the utmost of importance and value to Uhaul with ny expenditure of $910, PLUS I added on moving services that you profited handsomely from as well, but evidently the customers doing a local truck for $19.95 are more valuable to your organization. I had to stand in the hot Carolina sun for an hour on the phone. One person never called me back, and the other one sent me to a closed location with false promises- Oh and then the topper- I got to miss my flight home, Terrible Terrible customer service. I have to rent a truck for my other daughters move to college next week, but I can tell you it wont be a UHAUL. I also rented a truck last month to move my daughters stuff to my house before her apartment in Charleston was ready, so in the past two months I have spent over $1300!!!!!! And this is how I'm treated. Shameless

My truck was overbooked had to wait over 3 hours for another truck which was bigger than i needed and used much more gas. And to top it off it rained all the way to columbia and the cab leaked and my daughter and myself got soaked. On a bright side the girl at the dropoff was nice.

the truck I rented had a few mechanical issues. The brakes were soft so planning was very necessary. Customer support from U Haul from uhaul.com was reassuring. the steering wheel was not aligned with the direction of the wheels. you can't beat their prices though, and the truck I wanted was available.

The price quoted on the internet and also the amount that the internet required was not exceptable at the site. I had to pay the full amount when I picked-up the trailer. The amount a due at pick-up time was $60.00 and I had to paid the full estimated amount of $172.30. Also your internet reservation suggested that there is no charge for ends, which not correct, since I paid for Thursday thru Tuesday.

Self service long distance rental. It will be very helpful if the drop off locations listed will show the schedule, we selected a drop off location that was closed and no one told us.
