Confusion on how tolls are handled. Still not sure if the bill goes to UHAUL with penalty? I did the mail pay so hopefully no issues

Vermont location is a large hardware store with a staff that is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

MATTHEW FThe back was dirty the front end was dirty. The roof leaked and got all my boxes in the addict wet. When I told them they said it didn't leak before. Well how did they get wet??? And 20 dollars a day turned into 125 dollars. ((NOT IMPRESSED))
JOHN BI arrived early to make sure all was ready. The truck was snow covered on the roof, the loading area was covered in dried mud . It was in the single digits yet the truck was not started . No washer fluid . I received 1 blanket instead of 6 which had to be searched for and a dolly which also had to be found. Neither of which was ready to go. The 1 person certified to accept U-Haul orders had to be called in on her day off and was 1/2 hour late arriving. Truck had a 1/4 tank of gas. All in all a very frustrating transaction. I will never use this location again.

PETER HThe South Royalton Aubuchon store was fantastic. My complaint is with the manager in Massachusetts that scheduled my pick up at the South Royalton store. I understand that was the closest location for the truck I had requested so this is not part of my complaint. However, this location was 50 mins away from the original store I had wanted to pick up from and when I wanted to deliver the truck back to the south Royalton store as my personal vehicle would be there from driving to get the uhaul truck the manager was extremely rude and un cooperative. The manager stated that I must drop off at the East Montpelier site and if I did not then I would be charged extra miles. I explained that I didn't choose the south Royalton site Uhaul did. The manager stated that I chose the east montpelier site originally for drop off so I had to keep that drop off site. Once again I explained that South Royalton is 50 mins away and that he was making me go down there to pick up the truck. If I would have known this was coming I would have scheduled south royalton as my drop off as well. The managers response was "sir I am not forcing you to do anything, you can cancel your uhaul request at any time". After this statement I requested to speak to a manager and he told me that he was a manager and that he makes the decisions. I then asked for a different manager and he repeated they would have the same response just different language. I continued to request a different manager and he finally transferred me but it went to a deadline and hung up. I own my own business and if one of my employees had spoken to a customer the way he spoke to me I would be appalled. I know this posting won't go very far but I hope you look back in the phone records of the manager I spoke with and at least put a complaint in his HR file.
Andrew LTires were bald. Reservation for 8:00 am. The U-Haul rep did not show up to the location until 9am and it ruined every time line I had for the day. Was told we would receive a $25 discount in addition to the $50 money back due to missing the reservation time but then was denied the $25 discount. U-Haul rep was rude. Told me "too bad that is just how it is, if you don't want it we can just cancel the contract". When I said okay but I still need a vehicle I was told "well we don't have any". This is the second time I used this location and the second time they missed my time due to not having a rep there able to do the checkout. I will not go back there.

Stephanie HThe truck had a very loud exhaust system, clearly needs attention. The location has limited access, locking a gate at night. This limitation is not mentioned on the web site but it affects the capacity for afte hours mobile drpp off.

And since they were no accepting them, said I had to do the drop off via the app. However the location has limited service so took me a long time to complete

Bert HI rented a closed trailer for 'two way' use.. I had a previous experience of having reserved a trailer at a distant location, expecting to have the convenience of 'one way' use. Upon arrival to secure that trailer, I was told they did not have one and I had to drive over 30 additional miles to get another one. My most current experience could have been better, had I felt comfortable in knowing a trailer would be waiting for me. While my current experience was positive,and trouble free, it could have been better, had I known that a reserved trailer would be certainly be available . But alas, my past experiences, and what I am told by others, has taught me not to trust in reserving from U-Haul. Reserving may work most of the time, but when it doesn't, it is most unpleasant for the customer. And I will certainly use U-haul again- as I said, over all this was a positive experience.
