The self pick up van was parked behind a gas station and car wash. The lone car wash employee clearly noticed me when I pulled behind the building to pick it up. The employee clearly saw me circling the vehicle for 15 to 20 minutes searching for the key box. After a long wait waiting for customer service to answer my phone call, I finally learned the key box was not on the vehicle as was on all my instructions, but was in front of the building. When I asked the employee why he didn't help me, he told me that the U-haul pick ups were self serve. I finally got the key, unlocked van, and discovered that the two furniture dolliesI had ordered were missing. Another long wait on customer service phone line ended in being disconnected. After a third call, I determined that I needed to go inside to get my equipment. Inside there was only a single upright dolly. The car wash employee informs me they do not have furniture dollies, and customer service rep overheard his poor attitude. I was moving a couch by myself and needed the correct dollies. The van itself was dented. While reasonably clean for a moving van, ithe cab area had not been vacuumed or cleaned in quite a while. Plenty of grass, a stick of gum, a pen, a phone charger we're all left in the cab by previous renters. Not only would I not ever recommend anyone ever use this location, I would highly recommend that U-haul strongly consider whether this location meets their standards. I would give zero stars if that were an option.
Neal CoordesThe equipment we had ordered - a hand truck and blankets - was not in the truck. We were not able to receive them. Also, U-Haul did not tell us where we would be able to pick up our truck until a day before our scheduled pickup, causing a great deal of anxiety.
