The response about location cleanliness is based on the lot being gravel (not paved) and since it has been wet due to spring thaw it was wet and muddy. The owner was very nice and treated us great.

The reservation was exceedingly inept. I reserved and confirmed a 6' by 12' open trailer with a ramp to go one way. The location I was told I could get it at was agreeable and on my way. When I arrived at the location to pick up the open trailer there was none at that location. The location does not have any open trailers with ramps. So I had to waste more of my time to call and fix the big mistake that uhaul made. The only trailer I was then allowed to use to go one way was a 5' by 9' open trailer with a ramp. This however I could have picked up at home and then consequently returned to the same place. Saving me over $100.00. But as it turned out, since I had already left home I could not do this and had to go to another location to pick it up and drop it off at home. I am very disatisfied with the service I received with uhaul and will not use your service again.

Lift the wipers when it gets cold. When I picked up the truck the wipers were frozen to the windshield. I had to sit for 10+ minutes waiting for the windshield to defrost so I could drive away. Something so simple would be such a help.

I was a bit surprised to discover that I was expected to provide a lock on the back of the truck and to leave the key in the key drop box (we arrived shortly after closing time). U-Haul should issue a lock and key for that purpose. A copy of the owner's manual would also have been useful.

The trip was easy and a comfortable one. If two women, ages 71 and 76 can so it, anyone can. With the AC, radio, power steering and great instructions, the 240 mile trip with the 15 ft truck the was easy. I recommend UHaul over any other hauling/moving company.
