Clerk did not know how to complete the rental. Took us 3 hours and 6 calls to customer service to finalize the rental. We were told we could buy a ball hitch there, but they did not sell them. Had to make a trip to Walmart to get it. Overall an extremely frustrating experience!!! U-haul needs to stop using this site as a pick up location!!!!!Daryll S.

The person checking me in didn't speak english well and had no idea how to check me in. I ended up using the iPad to check myself in. He then wouldn't give me the keys for another 30 minutes until his colleague (who spoke English) came to work. At least I got the equipment...The guy before me ended up cancelling the reservation because he was waiting for an hour and a half to be checked in and the employee couldn't figure it out. We had a very bad experience with Uhaul at this location, they are unprofessional and are trying to scam their clients. They told us it would be 165 $from Monday 7-12 to return truck Sunday at 4:00pm. We put 1/4 tank of gas , when we got there they did not want to take keys and told us we had a balance of 400 $. They e-mailed us a receipt of 495 $. They had us speak with someone on their cell phone, that person was rude and told us to take the keys and to bring the truck until Monday at 4pm . We did not agree and left them the truck. They argued so much with us and we are still very upset with the horrible service. We told the man at the gas station that he should be in jail for steeling peoples money. He showed us a fake picture of how much gas was in the truck. When we showed him the picture of how much has the truck had he changed that in the app from 1/8 to 1/4. We have used U-haul before and never had this horrible service, we are very disappointed in U-haul. We will be reporting this to the BBB.REYNALDO L.

When picking up our keys the employee at the gas station was rude and said we were not there on time. We reserved the van for 5 hours and arrived to pick up the keys 5 minutes after our start time. We had assumed the keys would be in a secure lockbox but instead we were not provided a lockbox code and had to track down the employee with the keys. We were not asked when we began the gas tank status or mileage either. The parking lot also had weeds growing everywhere around the parking spot where the van was parked and was littered with trash.Matthew K.

Very messy inside at location. It looks like it was being closed in a couple of days. The guy checking me in was very nice but the only person there and pointed where the trailer was at and that was it. I had to lift the trailer on there ball myself and do the complete hookup. The running lights did not work and I had to drive from IL to MN at night. I was lucky I did not get pulled over. The brake lights and blinkers worked only on the top 2 lights.Dan T.

U-Haul changed our original pick up location and told us that the facility opened at 6 am for pick up. We arrived at 6:30 am and the facility was closed and there were no keys in the kiosk. We tried online chat with U Haul, but they only gave us a phone number for customer service, which had at least an hour wait time to speak to a representative. Someone finally showed up about 7:40. By that time there were 5 people waiting for a rental.David H.
The truck I ordered to rent was not there when I went to pick it up. Thankfully, there was an extra truck (smaller size) that we used instead. Was told another customer had our truck at the time of my timed rental. The truck and usage of the smaller one was perfectly fine, no issues. When we returned the smaller truck, other truck was there and it was still the wrong size - which tells me the truck I actually ordered never was going to be available. I was able to get a refund and price adjustment from the larger to smaller truck I used. Overall, ability to actually use a truck was fine, but I had I actually ordered wasn't there. Check-in guy didn't seem to know enough about my rental and we had a hard time communicating. It would have been nice to know up front (at least very plainly) that more charges to my card were going to be "authorized" on my credit card to cover extra expenses. Knowing the exact amount upfront would have saved me a lot of hassle. That way the check-in guy wouldn't have to explain the higher amount when I showed up for my rental. As a result, you missed out on the insurance charge.John N.

The location was OK. However when I called customer service to make reservation, they told me that the location was three miles from where I can pick up my shelves. Not being from the Chicago area, I went to that location and when I talked to the gas Station owner who informed me that I have to drive 22 more minutes to get to my loading address. Of course I wasn't happy about it. Called customer service to find out why they had send me to such far location. There was half an hour wait. Hang up the phone and took the truck as I didn't want to waste time.BILAL F.

The attendant repeatedly requested my contract, and I presented him with the reservation information I received from U-Haul. After a couple e-mails, I received keys to the rental truck but was not provided with a utility dolly I reserved.Jon R.

The U-haul representative requires more training therefore he appeared to be incompetent. He was unable to remove charges that were inadvertently added to the rental agreement. The representative made a phone call to receive instruction for ever issue I had with this rental. I reserved 2 dollies online but when I arrived at the location I was told no dollies were available. I was charged twice for the rental because the representative checked the equipment in late. I was able to rent the dollies at another location and tried to return them to this location but of course he didn't know how to document in the system that I was returning the dollies. If you aren't in need of renting equipment during normal business hours do not use this location. There is a U-Haul store less than 2 miles away.Aikala L.

I checked in on line to reduce wait time and minimize paperwork. The BP's wifi didn't work and they tried to check me in their mobile device. I was there for 30 minutes and they couldn't figure it out. I kept showing them my confirmation from UHaul, but that was not good enough. I finally left, never completing what they were trying to do. The truck had a half tank of gas. When I returned in 5 hours later, they still had not figured out the wifi and another customer was going through what I went through. I again left without any paperwork.Michael P.
