Interesting and what a fun bunch of folks! At first I thought I was in the wrong location and then a very friendly lady meet me at the door!! Encourage others to simply stop by to meet their door greeter. She was laying on the couch and her ears perk up when you open the door!!!

Very difficult to navigate through the system to get key from lock box. Needs to be easier. Tried calling 1-800 # to see if I could receive discount because I returned the truck two days early. Nobody answered for over 15 minutes. I hung up. In other words, right now not a very satisfied customer!

I thought that the location was a good pickup spot and the fact it had the ability for earlier than store hour pickup to be very helpful. The one issue was that UHaul Customer Service took an extended period of time to send through the unlock code for the lockbox. Everything was clean however and in easy to locate places.

Drop off was easy. Great customer service! People greeted me as soon as I walked in. Individuals directed me who to talk to and I was out of there in minutes with the paper work. This is a Tattoo parlor business, I wasn't sure of the place when I drove up, but let me tell you that the individuals were very inviting, friendly and professional. Matt did a great job getting me checked in/out quickly and walked across the street to their parking lot and guided me into the spot where the trailer was to be parked. Matt unhooked the trailer and I was ready to leave in minutes. Great customer service. Highly recommend this place and I will be back there to utilize UHual again.

I was expecting to start our move at 9am and when the reservation got changed to this business that opens at noon, it put us 3 hours behind schedule. The guy was great and very helpful. If time isn’t an issue, this place is great.

This facility is a tattoo shop that only allows people 18+ into the store. They have some child-inappropriate things (painted dildos) on display. It doesn't bother me at all, but you might want to mention on the drop off form that this place is 18+

The u haul agent assigned to this location, the tattoo parlor, was nowhere to be found even though I had called several times to confirm a pick up time. The setting of the tattoo parlor was less than professional. The truck had transmission issues above 50 miles an hour and did not drive well for the 1000 miles. Nothing was explained to me about the gas level of the tank. I also found many uhaul phone representatives varied in knowledge and recommendations. This was a significant expense and I will think twice about using U Haul again based on this experience.

Bad Apple Tattoo was great. I’m not super excited that I was told via verbal communication and email that my pick up would be at one location - then had to go on a quest to find the proper pick up location. The U-Haul on Atlas Ct. in Madison was also helpful.

For my "preferred" pickup location, I had selected the official U-Haul location in downtown Madison at West Washington, but was assigned to pick up the truck several miles away at 3225 E Washington. We had reserved the truck from 12 pm with movers scheduled to arrive at our house at 1 pm. We arrived at the original location at 12:15, were redirected to the location on East Washington, and we assumed we'd still have time to get back before the movers arrived. I had not noticed the emails from U-Haul were redirecting us because both addresses were on Washington and, this being the first time I rented from U-Haul, I didn't realize that reassigning pickup locations was something they did. I had assumed the truck I reserved would be sent to the location I selected if necessary. The assigned address did not have a business name associated with it, so we wasted some minutes driving around and around looking for the U-Haul office associated with two trucks sitting in a dirt parking lot with firework detritus in it. We finally found it inside the Bad Apple Tattoo Company at about 12:30. When we got inside, an employee of the tattoo company was checking in someone's truck. She told us that she could not check out trucks and the person who could was not around. She called him, but apparently was unable to get ahold of him and finally ended up calling in someone else. That person didn't arrive until 12:55--our movers were scheduled at 1 pm, and we were more than 15 minutes from home. Then there were various problems with the checkout, like I had reserved two dollies and the location did not have any at all. (We had hired movers to pack the truck but were going to unpack it with family and friends in a different city.) I had also selected to rent a 15-foot truck, but only a 17-foot truck was available, which apparently caused some problems in the system (although Bad Apple discounted $15 of the extra $20 it cost, which was the most they could discount, they said). When they read me my total, they quoted about $300, which was $130 more than the quote I got online. Apparently the system was trying to charge us for a 26-foot truck. It was 1:30 before we were finally able to leave and 1:45 before we got back home. It was only because of the extraordinary graciousness of the movers (Badger Brothers!) that we didn't have to pay almost an hour's worth of moving fees for the time they had to waste waiting for us. The staff at Bad Apple remained calm and professional and I have no complaints about the tone of our interactions. I was impressed with the piercer who initially told us that the person who could check us out wasn't there, because she remained especially calm and responsive with us as we got more and more stressed about the time. The problems were that they did not have the truck we reserved or the dollies we reserved (which are not that big a deal), and especially that the only two people who knew how to rent out trucks were not there w

I was frustrated to find that my reservation was not available at the location or time I reserved. I specified a convenient location 5 minutes from my home at 9am and what I got was a reservation 20 minutes from home at noon. The person in charge of our reservation agreed to meet us at 10:30 but didn't end up arriving until 11. Everything worked out in the end but the process was frustrating and stressful.
