A LOT more customer service would have been helpful. After I picked up the truck we loaded it and went on our way. About 4 hours into our drive I received an email from UHaul telling me my rental had been cancelled. As far as I knew we were now, out of the blue, driving a â€œstolenâ€ truck. I sat on the phone over and over for 30 minute stretches only to get â€œdisconnectedâ€ -that happened at least 3 times and I think more than that. We arrived at our destination, unloaded the truck. We had found a drop off facility closer to us and cheese to drop the truck there (again, I was attempting to get in touch with ANYONE about my rental at this point. I called over and over all evening and lay into the night and sat on hold over and over again - no one ever answered the phone - instead, my wait time stayed the same for over a half an hour. I finally gave up and went to sleep. I woke up June 2nd at 7am and was finally able to reach someone (sometime around 7am) after a 15-minute hold. She first informed me that y'all â€œstop workingâ€ at 7 and after that time no one would answer the phone. It would be most helpful and considerate if your company would let customers know that when they call instead of keeping what basically amounts to a â€œhelplineâ€ for peopleâ€openâ€ and have the appearance that you're so busy you don't have time for your customers. As â€œonlineâ€ and â€œtouch-freeâ€ as you base your rental â€œexpertiseâ€ about, your customers need to be able to call SOMEONE with you company day or night. People are driving your trucks after 7pm and do get into situations where they need company assistance. Speaking of which, to add a major insult, if you speak with any customer service representative period during your rental experience your company charges an extra 5 %. So, in addition to not being able to get my questions answered online I had NO WAY of getting in touch with your staff - my only communications with your company were electronic with a robot until 7am the next day. One would assume, if UHaul thought I had not picked up the truck, someone would be aware it was no longer in the Sunoco gas station in Short Hills, NJ and maybe be a little concerned? When I spoke with a supervisor the next morning, your company was completely unaware the truck had been â€œmissingâ€ since 1:30pm the prior day. Overall this process was unpleasant, upsetting, and very poorly handled. I would give this entire experience ZERO STARS. There is a LOT of competition in this business and I will make a different choice of truck rental services the next time I need to rent one.Mike D.

This is the only location in the New London area. When I dropped off vehicle no one was there but I called the 800 number and got someone who said to leave key in box. I would have felt better if someone had been there to verify vehicle was reurned in good shape but I am glad that this location is available in a remote area.PAUL B.

This was time consuming, with all the pictures. When the rep said it would be one picture. We had to call Uhaul, as my transaction was locked up on my phone. And you all charged me over 800 $dollars, which is insane when I went about 30 miles. Horrible, never use you again.Spencer M.
