i love this storage, one of the best to store your things, i didnt have a hard time at all ,very nice staff i love them the handle you well and treat u nice .you can not go wrong with this storage.the give positive speech to help u threw your tough jorne,god bless those staff .

There was no one there during business hours. She was at her other job according to another customer that stopped and told she wouldn't be there today despite the hours of operation being posted on the door. Customer service was of no service. They hung up mid conversation. No assistance.

I rented storage space from Barksdale for 6 years. Only COMPLAINT is based on RENTERS STORING FOOD IN STORAGE UNITS. Rats entered my storage unit approximately 3 years ago, because of the unit next to mine. I did alert the Barksdale Staff, and they handled it, but RENTERS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED to STORE FOOD! I would suggest REMODELING of the OFFICE SPACE. Other than those 2 things, I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at Barksdale.

The online process to rent is horrible .. a process that should have been instant took 2 hrs… Of course no live contact at the site.

Cheryl was an absolute angel. This move was unexpected and not well planned but she made my experience so much easier. Having such a friendly person in this time for me was a blessing.

CHERYL NEEDS TO BE FIRED AND AN EMBARRASSING EXCUSE FOR A PROPERTY MANGER. Overall, location is shady, aisles are tight, place is cheap, does nothing keep their word, difficult, and untrustworthy. Trees hang over the fence and aisles so you cannot drive down then, potholes are everywhere, the lanes are not flat (they're at a 45° angle and will cause damage to your car, it's very easy to have an accident or close call, and blind spots are everywhere. Not to include how dirty, disgusting, wet, and moldy the units themselves are. YOUR STUFF WILL GET PERMANENTLY RUINED. Issues: 1. Have been with them for over a year, with payments always on time and on the 1st. A month after move in, I got a call in the middle of the night saying my storage unit was open / unlocked. I race over… for nothing. It felt like a set up. There was nothing open or unlocked. I felt like someone was watching me. I left. 2. Then after a few more months, they jacked prices up without warning. I called management regarding it, was told I'd be given a call back. Never was. Called again. Nothing. 3. The nightmare of actually moving out… *Finally* I was able to move out of this massive mistake, and when I call to let them know to cancel my payment / contract, the manager, Cheryl, argued with me and YELLED she will not be cancelling anything and is forcing me to pay for the entire month, despite my unit being emptied by lunchtime come 2 September. So I got screwed out of another month, then HARASSED by her through text. I literally had to block the manager. As I show up with the moving truck / movers, we spend two hours literally arguing with Cheryl because "ain't no truck that big 'gon be on my property" After contacting corporate and wasting hours of my and the movers' time, the EXACT SAME TRUCK was let onto the property anyway. I literally had to call the cops on her for how erratic she was acting, her torment, and to be let out of my lease. This woman needs to be committed. This place is a JOKE. Your money will get ripped away from you, your stuff will not be secure, Cheryl is an absolute horrible unprofessional nightmare and a whole bunch of other names I'm unable to say here. PLEASE do yourself a favor and NEVER even consider coming here. Don't make the mistake I have. The ONLY redeeming factor for this company is the amazing way corporate handled the situation. The literal company owner and regional manager got involved after hearing how Cheryl treated us and called me directly to discuss the situation and apologize. I'm extremely grateful that they took this situation seriously, and hope Cheryl gets fired. I won't be surprised, either, considering this is apparently not the first phone call about her. Save yourself since I couldn't.

Bogus fuel charge. Truck filled over the half tank mark 2 miles from drop off location. Was charged for 10 gallons of gas.

I would recommend Barksdale self storage to ANYONE Mrs. Cheryl is amazing I had a situation come up and was out of town and Mrs Cheryl made sure I didn’t have to worry about our things she is absolutely the best I can’t thank her enough for all she did to help and how friendly and understanding she was if I ever move back to Shreveport and need a storage unit I definitely know where to go

It was a very old storage unit facility. It did not look inviting at all. There was barely any room to park the truck and the small lot was empty. There were no other trucks at this location. There was no one in the office to help us. I'll make sure to not use that location again for pick up or drop off.

Got there to drop off truck and the opens stated they close at 5 and I arrived at 4 pm just to pull on a locked door. The lady who I called was not helpful at all.

I informed the lady not to rent that truck back out till maintenance was done to it. And after explaining my situation she further explained the details to me and y Uhaul over charged me in comparison to my quote that I still have in my email.

Cheryl, the Manager of this facility, was more than accommodating and pleasant in every way. The units were clean. The only drawback is the severely cracked and sinking concrete drives.

Originally I reserved a truck at Bossier City Self Storage, 1702 Benton Rd, Bossier City, LA for 9:00 AM pick up. The staff did not show up until 9:10 AM. They also did not have any trucks at this site. This is important to note because we reserved a 10' truck and they could have upgraded to a larger truck but have nothing on site. So they call around and find another truck at Barksdale Self storage a couple miles away and tell us we would be given a $50 credit towards our final bill. I just received the bill and there is no credit. U-Haul should not make reservations for vehicles that are supposed to turned in by a different customer the same hour or even within a couple of hours.

My confirmation email said it would be ready for pick up at 7am -It was not . I was sent to FOUR different locations. I paid for a dolly and non was avaiable I was Told by Richard at the barksdale location that I would receive the fee back for the car tow -$79 I have not received it and I have left 6 messages for him and he never returns my call. I have been using Uhaul for 22 years AND THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVIC E.ALL FOUR LICATIONS WERE ABLE TO VERIFY I HAD A RESERVATION BUT the pick up location was invalid. I spent THREE HOURS AND 16 minutes trying to get my uhaul .I had people take off work to help me And totally inconvienced everyone Because I was stuck at Uhaul until 10:28am for a 7:00am pick up!I will not refer any one to this company or to that location.There was a Ms.Bounds at the 4th barksdale location that WAS GREAT!And Ms.Kimberly at the Alabama drop off that was Great.The trucks breaks are bad.I had to push it ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR and it still slid.My two children and I were caught in rain and it was scary and horrible simply horrible. Terrible. Not an adequate 24hr drop off location. They have no space to park larger trucks or trailers. Office smells terrible, and worker made it seem like it was my fault that there was no space to park. I had no choice but to park it off their property and call the U-Haul customer service line to let them know their truck,trailer, and auto transport were parked off the property of barksdale self storage. I didn't like the situation at all. I wish someone would call to discuss my lack of satisfaction. 702-280-2343, look forward to hearing from you all.
