Make sure in-town customers know and understand that the initial charge may or may not change based on usage. I thought my final charge was an extra charge and it caused a hold to be put on the account.

Mr. Barnes at this location was great to deal with. But a couple of complaints about the overall rental process. I originally booked the rental through Selmer Hardware in Selmer, TN. I called when I booked to make sure they had the trailer size I needed, and they said they did. The Saturday morning I booked for, I attempted to pick it up, and they didn't have my size trailer. I was talking to a teenage kid, and he blamed the regional manager, mumbled several things that I couldn't tell what they were, said they'd been moved down the road to Mr. Barnes. This was frustrating to NOT have my reservation, for my reservation to be moved without notifying me where to go, and for this kid to badmouth the regional manager Steve, who actually was very helpful to us in this whole process. Selmer Hardware is not a good dealer for UHaul. Mr. Barnes was fine.

Clean up the office. Service the equipment. Clean the equipment. This truck was nasty and smelled like dog poop and Skoal spit inside. The back had not been swept out. The office was a nasty mess full of old mattresses and diapers and junk and it smelled horrible too. The truck oil was low and black. Obviously not changed. The front passenger tire had two nails in it. Horrible.

Your system is a joke and it cost me an extra $100 (30 in fuel since the gauge wasn't right and 67 in miles since the odometer wasn't right). The guy had no system to check me in, so he had to call U-Haul. Then instead of them confirming with him that everything was right, they send me a link. He had a ton of moving blankets I had to remove from the U-Haul and then he walks away and says "keys are in it". Well let's weren't in it, so he walked out and looked in the truck for keys. Of course, not in it. Then he looks in his "office", not there either. Finally looks in the key drop box for returns and yup, keys still in it from last return. Finally keys in hand I can start the process, right? Nope pink expired and U-Haul claims it's a 7/8 tank of fuel and almost 70 miles less than what's on the odometer. Guess who gets to pay for the difference now.

I rented a truck on 12-9-22 In Selmer, Tennessee. I went to pick up at 9 am, the man didn't have my information, called a lady from the Uhaul office. I have to give the lady my information over the phone, when the man went to get the truck it was stuck in the mud, so he had to call someone help him get the truck out the mud, he ask me to come back in a half an hour, I told him that I need to get things done do to the passing of my father. I came back 45 minutes later, I got into the truck, not cleaned, checked engine light on, I told the man about the light being on and he said it will be alright, which I'm traveling almost 400 miles back home, after paying almost $1000 on the truck and gas. Saturday the 10th I get a call from the Uhaul office, the lady ask could I bring the truck back early because they had to rent the truck to someone else, the rental was for 3 days, I thought that was very rude and once again I payed almost $800 on the truck. I went to return the truck on Sunday the 11th at the Pershing location, told the gentleman about the truck, he went to check the truck out, came back and told me that he wouldn't let that truck go out with the engine light on and wouldn't give a truck dirty and the truck didn't have a lock, I had to buy one. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint on the Selmer, Tennessee, because he put my family and I at risk with that engine light on traveling almost 400 miles. I feel that I should get some of my money back Thanks

Location failed to correctly stage the truck for the Truck Share 24/7 pickup option. This led me to be on hold for 45 minutes with Uhaul and to spend another 15 minutes on the phone with a representative to fix the issue.

Uhaul customer service is horrible. My online reservation account was wrong. They called to move me to one Location and I said that would be fine. A day before the move I called just to make sure everything was good to go and they didn't even have a truck for me. Called uhaul and talked to a very rude person in scheduling after being on hold for awhile. She was no help. Moved me an hour out of the way and didn't want to give any type if discount. She said "she is in New Hampshire what am I supposed to do" something along that lines. I hung up and called back. The person I got this time was nice enough to give me the local dispatch and she atleast gave me the 50 reservation guarantee. By the way never call the phone number wanting help with your reservation, they will leave you on hold for nearly an hour. Learned that one along time ago. Uhaul you really need to get your customer service straight and online stuff figured out.

This was the nastiest place I've ever been in. And I got charged for gas when I received the truck it had a 1/4 of a tank I took it back with a half a tank. I will never use u haul again.

Pulling out of the parking space can be risky, because you're pulling out in possible traffic.

Find closer to residence. Had to go 40 miles when there was one 10 miles away. A tore blew apart at 200 miles but had very good service.

Reservation was moved 3 times because the promised 15 foot truck size was not available. While the agent at ultimate pick-up site was friendly this location was filthy. My contract copy was a phone picture of his computer screen. Truck parked poorly requiring considerable jockying back and forth to avoid hitting other trailers and not backing blindly out on to a 65 mile per hour highway. Anyone not familiar with the use of truck mirrors could have had a real problem.

I thought you could return a U Haul to any location, but this guy told me to bring it back to him. I had to go out of town to get it, because no one here had an open trailer. I was a little disappointed with this rental site. He could not get his computer to accept my card, so I had to go down the road and cash a check at Walmart.

The local guy was well prepared and courteous. It seemed the corporate side was extremely misguided. I did a reservation online and was also called for confirmation but still my information was corrupt when the local guy tried to run it. Took nearly an hour to get it straight

Fill the tank up all the way. That way when customers return the truck to you, we aren't guessing at how much gas we need to put in to keep it at the spot it was in when we rented it. We can just fill the tank all the way up. It feels like a scam. In order not to get fined, customers may over fill. Not fair! Fix that.

I went online and rented a 15ft moving truck on 4/15/18, I received an email confirmation that I would pick my truck up at one of Uhauls preferred locations, Ferrell's Home and Outdoor in Corinth, Ms on 4/21/18 at 11:00Am, I even called Ferrell's on 4/20/18 to make sure my rental would be available and the gentleman assured me everything would be ready when I got there. I drove over 4hrs from the Madison, Ms area to move my dad and stepmom from Iuka,Ms. Needless to say, when I arrived to the "preferred location" on 4/21/18 at 11:12 AM, the gentleman asked me to have a seat for a minute, and he began to make phone calls, then told me my truck wasn't there because he let a coworker take it on 4/20/18 and the coworker took the wrong truck, there was only one other rental truck in the parking lot and I couldn't have it because it was a local truck, and then the lady on the phone from U-Haul said there was an available truck at a location in Selmer, Tn, did I want to get it, well what other choice did I have?? Have no truck to move my parents or drive a round trip total of an extra hour, needless to say I was pissed, infuriated that they would allow a coworker to take a customers rental truck that they had gauranteed would be there. As we were driving to Selmer to pick up another rental I called U-Haul to file a complaint and the gentleman on the other end said that someone from U-Haul would be contacting me, today is 4/25/18 and I haven't received a call yet. Point being.... these pickup and drop off locations represent U-Haul and to admit to letting a coworker take a truck that was already rented and confirmed was really unprofessional, and if anyone ever asks me my opinion of the company, they will get it!!!

Well the pick up was supposed to be in Crump Tennessee. This location was not as close. I was not aware of the rental tax when I rented the truck. I thought the 730 was the total price. There was only a 1/2 of a tank of gas. Why not start on full?

The fellow I met there was very nice, but he didn't have the equipment I needed. This was after I had specifically been told by UHaul CS to pick up a truck at that location (15 miles out of my way), and that my truck, furniture pads, and dollies would be there. They weren't, and the guy could not figure out the check in system on the computer. The location was easy to find, but it was awkward to get in and out, even for experienced professional CMV drivers.

We signed a contract to pick up the truck, and all the equipment at the location in Adamsville, TN. I received a call from some corporate lackey telling me that we would have to drive to Selmer, TN, an additional 15 miles, instead, because it was just too much to ask that the guy who drove to Corinth, MS to pick up the truck (the only one within 50 miles, or so I was told) and take it to the place that had been agreed upon. All the items we needed would be at that location, in Selmer. Horse manure! When my son in law arrived to pick up the truck at around 8:30, the truck was not ready, the guy he spoke to had no idea what he was talking about. He asked to speak to the boss, and when they finally got that settled, he was informed that he would have to go back to Adamsville to pick up the packing blankets, etc., because he didn't have any of them, CONTRARY to what I had been told. When he arrived at that location, he found the truck and the equipment we had ordered was waiting for pick up....IN ADAMSVILLE! Needless to say, the people at the site were quite confused as to why we had been sent on a wild goose chase by said corporate lackey. I would suggest a demotion for the woman who called, and got everything so screwed up, putting us way behind schedule! Under normal circumstances, I have been pleased with the service at U-Haul. This time....not so much!

I plan on filing a complaint and claim to your corporate office. The A/C did not work in the truck and I have a medical condition that requires me to stay in a cool environment. Due to this, the trip was MISERABLE. I want to know how to lodge a complaint and get a partial refund!

This is a busy time for moving things, so I had to drive out of the way to pick up a trailer here. When I got there, the sign on the door said they'd be back in 30 minutes, with a phone number. Place was dirty and looked like the sign had been there a while. I called and was told they might be back in an hour, they were out on a service call. I said skip it, I'd go somewhere else. How do you not have people present for Uhaul? I don't love Uhaul anyway, but the fact that this place is associated with them is not good for their name.

The facility was very dirty and cluttered. It reminded me of an old body shop. The associate didn't go over any of the material other than just printing out my agreement and having me look over it. I had to walk outside and specifically ask which Uhual I would be using and he didn't offer to show me anything about the vehicle itself so I took it upon myself to see how everything operated. As I was opening the back gate he said, "Let's make sure they ain't no dead Mexicans back here." Luckily I don't get offended easily but he didn't know I was half Mexican and a simple racial comment like that could easily put a permanent negative image on Uhual. He wasn't mean, just not very helpful.

I arrived to the location you told me to take the truck to instead of where I had said I would on the contract & I was charged for a 20 mile overage. As a trucker I knew to take the truck route, and looked it up on line before my trip. I went nowhere out of the way. Nobody was at the return location. I parked the truck & left keys in a lock box as instructed by the owner on the phone. Thankfully, I had a cell phone.

The battery was dead on the truck and needed to be jumped several times at considerable inconvenience to me and my helpers who were being paid by the hour. I strongly believe the charge should be reversed. This location should be shut down. It is a wreck in many ways.

This is the second time I have used this location as a drop off location. Both times I have dropped off the equipment after hours, and each time they have checked my equipment in and sent me an email receipt.

Could not tell this was an authorized U-Haul dealer at first because it looked like an abandoned feed store. However, the salesman was a delight to work with. That really made up for the poor location.

The place was locked up on a Tuesday morning and there was no one on the premises to receive or inspect the vehicle. I paid cash for the rental and am now waiting for a check to be mailed for my deposit. This was a sorry way to end my move. Filthy...the office was dirty and there was trash piled up in the corners...The man here wore dirty clothes and was NOT personable...I cannot believe that anyone from U-haul has inspected that place - if they continue allowing this place to have trucks etc., that says a lot about U-haul, that that word is bad!...This place is a very poor representative for U-haul...I cannot, and will not every recommend them to any one...
