Vehicle was very new and clean. The employee who assisted me was very pleasant and efficient. Every part of the process went smoothly.

Stephanie NI was charged 85,65 for my U-Haul rental. First I was charged 11 dollars for coverage which I declined. I was then charged a 30 dollar service fee. When I picked up the U-Haul it was less than 1/4 tank or 6,25 gallons. I ended at 1/8 tank or ~4,68 gallons. I drove 27 miles and at 18mpg that's around 1,5 gallons. This is very predatory and I should not have been charged the service fee as I started the ride with less than 1/4 tank. I am okay paying for gas, but the other charges are unacceptable.

Melanie H0/10 I setup a rental at Belltown Self Storage for pick-up at my desired time, and for drop off at 11:30 pm. I received a confirmation email of my rental, looked good @ 8:31 am. I received another email at 9:06 am which looked like a duplicate to me (mistakes happen) because the overall format was the same, and the only difference (which I didn't notice at the time) was that my reservation had been changed WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION, OR ATTEMPT TO SIGNIFY THE CHANGE. The drop off date and time had changed to the following day at 10:00 am. Again this happened WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE. I show up at pick-up time, and the guy working the desk told me about these changes as I was signing the documents. But it was too late, I already had made plans to use this truck and couldn't afford to wait til tomorrow for another one. Let me be clear, he required me to keep this truck overnight because 'he doesn't do night time drop off', and this caused a host of nightmares and made for one of the longest days of my life. There are two options for me to do with this truck overnight, one is find a parking garage or lot that can fit the 7'2" height requirement for the smallest van you can rent from U-Haul and pay an additional $25-40 depending on where you can find a spot, or drive half an hour to the suburbs and park for free. Well after five hours of manual labor my girlfriend and I took two hours to sort out parking and get home. THEN IN THE MORNING WE BOTH HAD TO TAKE OFF WORK TO RETURN THE STUPID TRUCK. I give this place a zero out of ten, not even half a point. The owner could have been clear by calling me (U-Haul texted me all the time) or emailing me directly, to explain after I had made the reservation WHY it needed to be changed and give me an opportunity to CANCEL but no such action was taken. This guy has a complete disregard for anyone other than himself. Because make no mistake, if I had known I WOULD HAVE CANCELED; the whole point of the U-Haul app is the convenience of dropping it off whenever you want. Or at the very absolute minimum he could have offered to setup a drop-off at a different location that does have night time drop-off. I do not recommend this business if you value your time or money. Go to a U-Haul place in the suburbs where you can drop off the truck when you're actually done with it. 0/10
