darrell K.The one thing I noticed is the floating gas gauge. I put gas in, it read ½ a tank. I parked it 2 miles later and it said it was below ⅜, the mark I had to be on. These should have better gas gauges so that the customers aren't confused or charged unnecessarily.
Lori S.Understanding that personal circumstances occur, the Owner of the store was very late to open his store. Our scheduled time for pickup coincided with the store opening hour of 10:00am on Tues 3/22/22. By chance we got lucky - calling the Owner who was several miles away. We did not get keys in hand until 10:26am, which put us behind on our move, and ruined our moving day. If this Owner had been "Customer Oriented" - which by the way - they were clearly not! - they would have been courteous, prompt, and on time, at 10am sharp. They rent U-Haul truck's by the hour for Pete's Sake. Being on time is everything. To add insult to injury - there was no apology from the Owner. He could care less. He faked start time at 10:15am. We were so late at that point - do to his failures - we were forced to carry on, NOW late through no fault of our own. Very poor U-Haul experience overall - due to Owner/Operator's poor time management. Zero care for the undue burden placed on the Customer. Will not be renting from them in the future. It's sad when a grown man can't arrive on time to rent a moving truck. We had our reservation booked by 3pm the day before. There is no excuse for poor time management, and no concern for the Customer. This Customer was on time! Berkshire Trains & Vintage Toys??? Late, late, late (no excuse).

David L.The gas tank was not completely full when I picked up the truck, but I still charged for returning it with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up. Not enough to raise a fuss about, but not ideal.

Jamie C.Berkshire Trains was very knowledgeable. However, U-Haul itself was very disappointing. We had a reservation as a different location. No truck. Was told U-Haul had moved our reservation without notifying them or notifying me. Told we had to call U-Haul. When we did, they apparently had lost our reservation because we were told we had to start over. Very poor service.
Lorie H.Our original pick up was at Perry and Perry at State Farm and they were not ready for us and could not get the computers to work we drove five hours from Michigan and we were worried we were not gonna be able to move but fortunately we found the other place and he was great.

I was thankful to have a truck reserved for the date & time I needed, but think I should have been offered a deduction for additional mileage the location change added to my fees (approximately 30-35 additional miles total).

Lexington, Ky location. 2 days before I need to pick up I get a confirmation call and he said “I have a u haul pick up for 10 foot truck and dolly for you on Saturday oct 8 at 10:30†I said yes and he said see ya then. I get to the squires rd location and he tells me my pick up location has been moved to somewhere across town. Which made me an hour late picking it up. When I get to the new location he tells me he already gave the dolly I reserved to a earlier customer. Such a horrible experience, we will not use uhaul again.

Ralph H.I have a cell phone that I choose not to have all the bells and whistles. For instances, I don't have access to internet, I don't load apps. It seems to me, U-Haul makes the rental experience more cumbersome for me and discriminates against my tech choices. To complete my rental process I had to wait 47 minutes on the phone to talk with a U-Haul rep. Can't I submit paperwork with my key return?
EILEEN D.I'm disappointed that uhaul needed to be reminded that I needed a trailer. The one I ordered was not where or when my reservation stated. They did huddle one up when I called about it 5 hrs later. Went across town to get it. Worked out.

Luis S.The 24/7 app does not work unless I have my settings set up for phone location. I do not have this setting turned on for personal reasons. It would be nice if this wasn't required since my pick up location is already established. So this wasted an hour of my day waiting for the store to open. Another customer had the same issue.

Danielle K.The first Uhaul we were meant to get was a total lemon. Wouldn't even start for the employee. Fortunately there was another one there that they gave to us. But this process got us behind on our moving schedule by a half hour. It was also nice of them to give me a discount for my trouble, but Uhaul should, at the very minimum, make sure their trucks actually run. If there hadn't been a spare we might've had to reschedule the entire move. The employee helping us was very nice and easy to work with. I just think Uhaul should take better care of their trucks.

The web site was NOT clear on being able to drop off in Bardstown, which was where we were moving furniture. However, the operator told us we didn't have to bring the truck back to Lexington. He was very helpful. The web site was not clear on this point.
